These plants were started in peat pods, and put into solo cups, filled with ProMix HP and perlite, as soon as they sprouted (March 20th) and they have been growing very quickly so far. They are only on day 16, since sprout, and they already needed to be transplanted into 6L pots today. This is going to be an all organic living soil grow. The only nutrients I will be adding will be in the form of teas, and GD doesn't seem to have any way to track that, so I will just make notes in the weekly comments regarding when give the plants some compost teas.
Soil being used will be a 50/50 mix of Elevation Summit Soils Base Camp and Nectar for the Gods #4 that I pre-amended with 1Tblsp/Gal of Elevation Organics Mountain Blossoms 7-2-3 Vegetation. I will be using the Mountain Blossoms fertilizer as a tea throughout the vegetation stage but still haven't quite figured out how I want to dose it. Since I'm new to organic growing I think I will brew the compost tea with it at the recommended 4-8mL/L of water and then will dilute that by mixing 1 part tea to 10 parts water, and then just feed it at that strength with each watering.
@Complicate, Thanks! Yeah, I took my time with this grow and it has really paid off. I'm still surprised about how far behind the front plant is so I'll be curious to see if I have a similar issue with my next round. I'm pretty sure it was caused by the lights being shifted too far back and hope that was the issue.
@RussianGrower, thanks for the comment! They look a little sloppier than I’m used to at this stage but I still have plenty of time to train them to fill out better.
@BudXs, Thanks, I appreciate it! I was kind of thrown off by his comment. My diary has a lot of pictures and info in it so I really wasn't sure where he was coming from with that comment, unless he was in the contest and was just being a sore loser.
@CUBULATOR, No, I don't work for GD. I've entered 3 contests so far, and this is the only one that has placed, but my diary isn't showing as a winner yet so I don't know if they are even done with the judging.
