Hydro Kush NFT

This is day 28 from seed hatching. I went on holiday on day 14 left a friend to tend to them and returned to dying plants. I will class this as week one as I did not document before this.

I had a busy week moving the plants into NFT once roots started to show, put them into a tent give them a fan. Freebie seed shown slow recovery but decided to use it anyway.

At the start of the week I fimmed a few high blooms to slow growth. Humidity kept climbing untill I added a carbon filter 4inch on a inline fan as an exhaust, added a 2nd fan to circulate more. Checked pH around 4 times a day due to.such a small tank. At the end of this week I defoliated and also took around 40 cuttings which I will post separate to this dairy, they will be in a DWC setup.

This week shown slower growth due to the plants recovering from last week. I tried to not touch the plants and just kept on with pH adjustments. Near the end of the week the plants started to show a bit more growth.

This week was another week of letting the plant grow untill day 6 when I moved it into the bigger tent which was delaying I'm putting up due to repair works that why the plants was scroged prior to moving to keep them low and fill out abit. I put a bigger fan in and remover a tower fan which emited a blue light while on. I kept feeding grow in this week. Humidity kept steady with just an exhaust fan.

This week I started bloom feed along with dutchpro explode at 50%. I defoliated alot of undergrowth as it would only struggle to grow. I removed half of what I wanted to remove due to not wanting to stress them too much.

I put up a 2nd scrog net and added another sun master making the total lighting 600w + 400w. This gave a temperature rise which made me also add a small air-conditioning unit. I only used this as an fan at this point.

I continued like normal with the feed expect for one day which I just put pH correct water in the tank as I saw I little nutrition burn on the leaf tips. The temperature was difficult to maintain so I added a fan adjuster so I could regulate it easier.

I kept on with regular feeding and on the last day of this week I started adding overdrive at 50% recommended in prep for the following week. I do this to maintain bud production as it fills out the so called popcorn buds 😎

I started getting new growth from the tops of my colas. I thought this might of been down to raising the light up 10cm but it might of been down to high light intensity so I also moved one abit further away from the other to try and help. The pictures in the dark and videos was around 4minutes before the lights came on as all my photos are over exposed. Next to this plant I have an experiment with pink kush and zombie kush using the light given of from this grow.

Tank clean and flush on day 4, Flush on day 5 and 6th day I pulled the freebie down and left two decent sized flowers on them to keep the roots alive. Straight after cutting them I added the nutrition back to normal. My plants did not show hardly any yellowing during the flush days. I wet trimmed the plant and hung upside down. I left everything on the stem so no loose buds. Everything with trichomes was bagged and put in the freezer.
