Growing in a 21"x21"x48" tent in my closet. Only ventilation are my two clip fans that always stay on. Starting with a Progro 180 LED I bought many years ago. This is my first photoperiod in a while. I've grown a couple many years ago and then turned to autoflowering plants when I had the chance to grow something.
Received my new light this week! Spiderfarmer SF1000. It runs cooler and is stronger than my other Progro 180 and it's completely silent, no fans. I tried my hand in fimming. I usually only LST the plant so this is my first time trying. I also transplanted from the 1gal to a 3gal with FFOF added perlite and watered with 6.5ph clonex solution 2tsp/2gal h20. I LST'd as well.
Bending, bending, and more bending. I also topped 3 times and tried fimming 2 more times to see which I like more. Took some leaves off as well to open up the new tops coming in.
I transplanted her into a 7gal pot. She would dry up in 24hrs after feeding so I thought it was best to give her some room. I didn't want to shock her in any way so I just cut the bottom of the fabric pot and put her in the 7gal. She didn't seemed shocked at all from this. Her canopy was pretty full so I took a bunch of leaves off. I've had to defoliate many times during this grow to make sure the light can get down past the canopy. She's filled up the tent nicely.
The trichs are really starting to come in. She is starting to smell more too. I believe her stretch is pretty much over. She didn't really stretch much.
In the home stretch. Going to try to bring her to 63 days. Ive been watering with RO water phd to 6.0-6.4 since last week with quite a bit of runoff. The runoff has still been high ppm wise though ~1000ppm. I need to get her into the tub to thoroughly rinse her out, just been difficult since its a stealth grow and the roomate has been working from home.
This should be the final week. I have checked the trichomes and if I had to guess a percentage of amber to cloudy id say 10%amber/90% cloudy. I've snipped a few more leaves as well in certain areas that looked like they were shading a nugget below. I haven't watered since last week, 5 days ago, and don't plan on doing so until she is chopped. Probably Sunday she will go in 48hr darkness.
- I checked the trichs on day 59 and saw more amber so I decided to put her into 48hrs of darkness and then chop.
-65g dry bud and 39g icy trim including larfy lower buds.
-I had pretty high humidity during drying process ~80%. Had two small fans running inside my small tent pointed away from the tree. No mold, and dried nicely taking a total of 7 days before jar.
-Vaped .8 g on day 13. Very earthy taste through the 3rd bag of vape. Vape a little and you still have energy to do things, vape a lot and super stoney. I couldn't keep my eyes open :) overall I love this bud. 🤙
This strain was very easy to grow. Had no issues whatsoever with her. I did defoliate her quite a but throughout the grow and I'm sure I could have done more. Breeder says if you give her space shr can grow tall but as you see if you do a lot of LST and some topping she can stay short.I
I chopped her on day 61 after 72 hours of darkness and hung the whole plant in hopes to slow down the dry. The breeder says 50-55 flowering days which was pretty spot on. I couldve harvested day 55 but I am glad I waited. She did bulk up a bit more and her trichs were able to mature to a point that I like .I will update after the trim with the dry weight then off to the jars for a 2 week cure atleast.
