The tent is currently still in use by the monster cropped clones that are just finishing their last week(s) of flower. In order to get another run in as soon as possible I decided to pop two beans, settling on White Tahoe Cookies from Dr. Seeds.
For the first 24 hours I soaked them in a cup of dechlorinated water with a pH of 6 and left them in a dark cupboard. When I checked the next day both seeds had cracked open. I emptied the cup of water over a paper towel, spaced the seeds out slightly, then folded the paper towel up and placed it in a small Tupperware container.
24 hours later the seeds both had taproots over an inch long (though both were curled up in odd ways). I planted them each in a solo cup of coco coir presaturated with Roots Excelurator and liquid seaweed. I then place them in a humidity dome alongside a couple clones of another strain.
By the end of the second day both seedlings had straightened themselves out. One had opened up and the first set of tiny true leaves can be seen. The other is still attempting to shed its shell.
