I stuck Patrick into a PVC greenhouse and left him alone. Reduced the amount of water he is receiving. He seems to be relishing life. Susan has been left outside, exposed to the elements and pests and is a bit scraggly. She was always a bit of a funny one. She got topped this week so is still recovering. I’d rather they didn’t end up huge as they are in my garden yet I’m also too attached to release them to the wild.. What. To. Do.

Contemplating slipping a Northern Lights Auto amongst my tomatoes in my garden. I’ve heard auto’s only grow to around a foot so I’m assuming this is workable? With a tactical miniature poly tunnel?

It’s definitely workable to keep low but under a foot without any training is very unlikely, I’m only a noob but if like to say you’d get atleast a 1M high plant. I say go for it worst that’ll happen is you’ll have to relocate it if too big.

I am going to be transplanting to an outside location. What is the opinion on needing to fertilise the soil before the transplant? I’m under the impression that if the area is littered with brambles then the soil is already ideal?

Well its good for brambles at least. Means the soil will support a plant not that its GOOD soil. Dont plant cannabis anywhere you would not plant tomatoes, they have similar needs. I assume a stealth grow, if you can prepare the hole with good potting soil, 5 gallons should do it. You want your plant growing in the best soil you can get. Add amendments as you would in a pot. Good luck.

Is there such a thing as too long a veg period? With Mother Nature these puppies wont be ready to harvest until mid-October. Which will be a total of 7 months unless I intervene.

Hi @Hoesay Yes it is normal in nature. you will be able to induce it to flower earlier but you will have to have a closed space and without light to place the plant in the period without light, you will have to repeat the process from 12h to 12h which ends up giving a lot of work. good luck mate 👍

I was thinking of taking some clones from the plant as it progresses. I saw lots of people using Root riot cubes? Or is there a better way?

Hello, So there's definitely many ways to get clones. But for me using some rooting powder and a cube or peat pod have been the most successful. I have one in just a plain water cup that was dipped in rooting gel and I'm doing a test to see how fast it can root compared with the clippings in cubes. If you want to get almost a 100% guarantee though, I'd stick with the riot/peat cubes. And definitely pickup some sort of root hormone, either powder or gel. Have fun cloning.✌️

Hi Mate, I would keep them for company but I would double that sort of geranium box where Patrick is planted. Make more holes under Patrick's crate and place it on top of another similar pot. I would leave Susan as she is without too many expectations. They seem to be healthy in their own way. Happy growing 🤞
