Began germination process with Gorilla Bomb Feminized. 12/27/2017 at 8 PM using the glass of water method. Trying to keep my grow tent between 75 - 84 degrees. Will be planting into a 3 gallon pot with Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil. 😀
Very sorry for not updating!
Story so far;
12/28/2017: Gorilla Bomb by @BombSeeds germinated nicely. Immediately placed her in a 3 gallon pot of Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil. She ended up popping out of the soil the next day. I've been keeping the grow room between 68 and 85 degrees.
12/31/2017: My source of light is a Sun System: Sun Light 125 Fluorescent Grown Light.
Feliz: Felizlight 125 Watt Plant Growth Lamp. 6500 K Cool Spectrum for vegetative growing.
1/2/2018: Used 5mL of Flora (Micro/Gro/Bloom) each, mixed into 1 gallon of water with a pH balance of 5.7! Also added 4mL of Cal-Mag+ to gallon! Feeding 1 Liter of mixture into the 3 gallon soil.
WARNING: 1/3/2018 Found signs of whiteflies inside grow tent! Went to my hydroponics store to get sticky traps.
1/5/2018: Switched light source from 24/0 to 18/6 to allow some resting at night.
NOTE:
I will be updating every Saturday or Sunday depending on my availability. If i don't post anything over the weekend I will try and at least shoot for the following Monday. Thank you all for watching/reading! One Love.
STORY SO FAR:
1.8.2018: Began feeding 1 Liter of water for my 3 gallon pot. (If i should add less please feel free to correct the amount I should feed instead👌) During the day my grow tent was averaging 83 degrees / 55% humidity, and at night my grow tent was averaging 72 degrees / 34% humidity.
NOTE: I'm actually growing in the corner of my garage in a tent I built myself. Not in a bedroom/closet.
1.9.2018: Now using "aggressive vegetative growth" nutrient balance shown on the Basic Applications Table located on the back of the GH Flora bottles. In 1 gallon of water I'm adding 3tsp FloraGro / 2tsp FloraMicro / 1tsp FloraBloom. Also, 4tsp CalMag +.
1.12.2018: Bought an adjustable harness to lower my lights and stop the plant from growing taller. My CFL is now 5 inches above the top of the plant.
NOTE: Will be Topping this week to start growing her wide instead of tall.
Still learning as I grow. Any tips/tricks would be much appreciated! 😁 Thank you for continuing in reading my story! Hope this helps. One Love!✋
STORY SO FAR: She's growing Beautifully!
Regular feeding when soil dries up. 1L of water with nutrients. There are still flies inside the tent, so I've got more sticky paper traps around the plants.
I planned on topping this week but completely forgot to do it. Probably going to buy more CFL bulbs to place around the plants, just to get more all-around coverage.
That's about it for this week. Incredibly simple. Didn't have to do much👏 Thank you all for following. One Love!
STORY SO FAR.
1/23/2018: Topping method. Going to start making more branches.
NOTE: Still using "Aggressive Grow" nutrient diet in 5.8 pH water with Cal-Mag+.
NOTE: There aren't as many flies as last week, but still there nonetheless. Might be buying some bug killer juice soon.
NOTE: Planning of adding more CFL bulbs around the Sun System once I can find some low price grow lights.
Haven't done a lot. Watered twice this week.. trying to let the top of the soil dry up more to kill possible fly eggs in the soil. Seems to be working.
Thank you all for following along! One Love! 👌😁
STORY SO FAR:
She's been growing nicely! Not much to it.
NOTE: Aggressive Vegetative Growth. 1 Liter.
NOTE: Now that the heat is coming back I went and bought some "DynaGro Pro-Tekt." I will be adding that to my solution starting Monday. SoCal is getting ridiculous with these random heat waves... That's about it for this week! Thank you all for following along, sorry for lagging on it last week 😅
NOTE: If I still see a bunch of gnats by next Friday I will think about adding ladybugs to the tent 👋 Thank you again! One Love🙏
STORY SO FAR:
02/04/2018 - Began letting the soil dry up to try and kill off some gnats. This week I only fed her twice.
02/05/2018 - Bought "Captain Jack's Deadbug Brew. by BONIDE" and added to my nutrients. There's a ready-to-use spray solution, and a concentrate. I much prefer the concentrate because you can continue to use it in the flowering stage with your water. Whereas the ready-to-use spray cannot be used during flower due to direct chemical contamination.
02/08/2018 - I have seen very little signs of gnats. Which tells me that both, drying the soil and using CJDB, helped with eliminating some of those pests.
Thank you guys so much for following along with this journey!🙏 I'm open to any suggestions if you know faster ways to kill gnats 👌👻
STORY SO FAR:
02/12/2018 - Measured at 22 inches.
02/14/2018 - Switched to FELIZ-FELIZLIGHT 2700 K Warm Spectrum for Flower Production. 125 watt CFL lamp. Keeping light cycle to 18/6.
02/14/2018 - Fed plain water at 6.2 pH
02/17/2018 - Last week of Aggressive Veg. Going to be using one more feeding with this nutrient combo, then I'll start using "Transition to Bloom."
02/18/2018 - Measured at 24 inches.

Her growth is looking very promising! 💪 Nugs getting nice and swollen which is always a nice thing to see as the days go by. I've been adding more sticky traps even though I'm not seeing gnats.. but hey, you'll never know with these little bastards right? So on that note, I'd say she's gonna be just fine🙌 Feeding regiment is still the same as before. 👇

STORY SO FAR:
She's getting so fat! 😍 Super sticky, super dense, super smelly! I couldn't more happy with this grow! @bombseeds has killer genetics and I'm excited to finish this one to start the next!
Weather conditions haven't been too bad. Low 70's all week in the tent and peaked at 80 on Friday. Gnats are still under control thanks to Captain Jacks and sticky traps 💪

STORY SO FAR:
04/10/2018 - Had a small scare because of the heat. Damn grow tent peaked 91* while I was at work. First thing I saw was the plant wilting down and the fan leafs lost its stiff. My only thought was to get my fan from work and just blast it with a cool breeze. Also fed her some cold pH balanced water hoping it'll lower the soil temp.
04/11/2018 - AMAZING RECOVERY!! 🙌👏👏💪She bounced back nicely! I was so happy to see her standing up. She's leaning over a little bit, but seems to be doing fine now.
04/13/2018 - Being that there are still some gnats hiding around, I went back to my local hydroponic store and was told about this new product called Nor Cal Plant Nutrients 86. Fresh in stock so I decided to check it out. The bottle says it fights against mites and mold, but their booklets also names other type of bugs. Apparently after doing some reading online, it's safe to spray this Directly on the plant during flowering (but must stop using 2 weeks before harvest.) Although I might not try that with this grow, so instead I'm spraying onto the soil.
04/14/2018 - Found a lot of brown spots and burnt tips.. A good friend of mine is thinking nutrient burn, so her next couple feedings will be water.
On a side note, terribly sorry for updating late 😓 Busy week.
Thank you guys for following along! -One Love👌
STORY SO FAR:
So this past week has been rough because of the sudden rise in heat 😢 The hottest it's gotten in the tent since the last heat peak was 87 average. At night it gets to be about 54-56 so that's nice... but definitely way too hot throughout the day. My giant work fan is able to stabilize the temp between 80 and 82 while I'm gone at work. I also feel like I might've over fed her on the nutrients (after getting confirmation from a fellow master grower homie.) So she went through 3 water pH balanced feedings before a light nute feed. Hopefully this gets her back on track 🙏
Thank you guys for following along! -One Love!
STORY SO FAR:
So that heat wave a while ago left quite an impact on these final weeks before harvest. I've trimmed off a lot of dead fan leaves along with trimming down majority of burnt lips. I started flushing on 4.27.2018 with the hopes she'll make it through!🙏 So close, yet so far!
I think I started off great, but man I wasn't prepared for this heat 😭 I definitely could've done better if I was prepared for situations like this. She stayed perfect up until that moment it hit mid 90 in the tent... other than that I'd say this was a damn good strain! The buds were huge and frosty and stinky! I'll do better next time

@DeathCrusher92, you're welcome! The problem with gnats is they lay eggs, some people like to put a layer of sand on top on the soil to help kill them, some do other things...it'd be wise to check some of those solutions ;)
Good job killing off the gnats. Make sure to continue long enough that the eggs in the soil die without reproducing as well.
Good vigorous growth since last week as well! Branch development is always good to see!
@Jaindoh, Thank you !🙏 I'm definitely gonna stick to the twice a week watering regiment. However I will still look for more solutions to kill em off completely💪
(Cont'd)... fine grade of white gravel that contains a non-toxic, eco-friendly pesticide which leaches out into the medium to kill gnats/larvae and acts as a barrier. It's best used as a preventative measure rather than a corrective action, but check it out either way. Good luck with ripening and harvest! 👍Keep on growing!🌱
@DeathCrusher92, If you go to their website you can fill out a form for a free sample that includes the majority of their line in quart size bottles. All you have to pay is the shipping. It's great because you don't have to pay much for the sample and it will get you through at least two grows. Very scientific feeding schedule that requires a slurry test regularly and subsequent pH testing and ppm testing. This line is known in forums for creating the best tasting product!
Week 7 is looking killer. Glad you are ridding yourself of the gnats...I appreciate the thoroughness of your diary. Nice work. Continued best wishes on the grow!
Unfortunate with the gnats does your local hydro store not supply a spray u can use then let your plants media dry this will prevent egg laying and hatching they can't survive in dry conditions and remove the lower growth also better to get them now at least your not in flower hope u get them all plant looks nice and healthy not effecting her too much happy growing bro
@biggreens420, Many growers here have been saying the same thing. I'll be bringing it down to 2 feedings for this week, and cross my fingers hoping it'll kill a few eggs.
@DeathCrusher92,yeah you will be able to find something drying the media helps a lot with gnats try watering little as possible and keeping the media dry as possible sounds mad but definitely works
Just noticed you are also fighting gnats 😥I had major infestation a month back - my gorrilla was hit real bad mainly the roots getting attacked by larvae - I done a steep in hydrogen peroxide and neem oil for 20 mins then repotted and treated whole room with diotomaceous earth - it takes a few weeks to get ontop of them cause of life cycle - that as well as good practice good airflow and slow watering should get you stop these we pests .😉happy growing mate
@DeathCrusher92,mate not a problem i recently bought predatory mites from Amazon in slow release pouch to attack them going forward a easier than having to treat every now and again and they right of a range of little fuckers as well. I also going to introduce ladybugs when come season . Hope you iradicate those wee bastards once and for all . 👊
Doing well! Liked and followed!
BTW, for soil I always liked the "Water thoroughly and sparingly" motto FWIW, knuckle deep etc -- but I too have battled the gnats. It's a rite of passage, practically.
@DeathCrusher92, its probably less of an inside vs outside issue and more about the top inch of soil being too moist too long/often. if youve got gnats that means their eggs are in the top inch of your medium. I'm not a bug expert or a grandmaster grower, but this is the best understanding I have of them.
http://www.growweedeasy.com/fungus-gnats
@Jaindoh, I feed my girls outside and let the water run off on the grass. Once the bottom stops dripping they go back inside.
Is taking them outside for those 10-15 minutes attracting the flies? or possibly taking them inside without knowing?
@DeathCrusher92, i say let em go dry enough to droop if you still have them -- while youre still in veg and letting them have underwater stress is less of a big deal. so long as the top inch where they lay eggs gets dry and stays dry. At the least it will kill most of the eggs.
if you have a way to sip it water from the bottom like setting it in a saucer or something -- dont leave it too long the water will get funky, not sure havent tried it but would work afaik
the gnats dont like look for cannabis roots to eat them but they do when they get in the way and i've had them damage more than one plant's roots.
It's really not liking the heat so make sure you've made plans for when it gets bad again. It will make your buds really fluffy and cost you a lot of yield, so will high humidity.
You can probably remove a lot of the severely damaged leaves, quit pumping water through them for no return.
56 is also too cold, once you're dense flowers your mold risk is through the roof. If you can't fix this, which is real important, make sure they have plenty of airflow -- even if you have to rig something up.
Other than that, they're still growing quite well. There are some potential pitfalls here. I've had several crops severely reduced in yield from heat waves, until I upgraded my a/c unit.
@DeathCrusher92, Of course, man! Just trying to shore up my own skillset. I feel you on the equipment, I wasn't prepared for the heat myself last year.
@Jaindoh, Thank you for all the info! 🙏
And yeah I can already see the difference in buds with this heat.. she does seem to be a bit fluffy. With my fan it's getting be around 79-81 degrees. At night I have no control of the cold unfortunately.. so when it drops to the 50s that's what I'm stuck with 😢 After I harvest this plant (if she doesn't die before that happens..) I'll have to take a break from growing until I buy better equipment. Dealing with this heat/cold situation is a headache.
Still, I truly appreciate the help you've given so far 👊
@biggreens420, thank you! and yeah there's a lot less gnats than before, but them sticky traps are working miracles. 👌 She's now under 12/12 so i'm excited for the next couple weeks
@DeathCrusher92,yeah I follow some of his grows I think ...and I'v only heard good stuff about gorilla bomb and I love gorilla glue so it's a must try for me one day lol
@biggreens420, This one was recommended by a friend of mine who also grows. here on GD he goes by @TricomePhoto and he seemed pretty excited about this one.
