Mexican Airlines Fast Buds

My first grow. Growing one gelato and one Mexican airlines in my converted wardrobe 😂. Germinated the MA seed straight in soil and it popped in a few days. Looking very strong. Growing slightly faster than the gelato I germinated the same time. I’m hoping it keeps this rate up the whole time! I’m using mainly biobizz nutes in a plagron lightmix soil. Also atami cal mag.

All going good this week! Started the week with the same nutrients as last week plus bio grow. Transplanted to the big pot this week too as the roots were starting to come out the bottom. She’s taking well to the amount of light and nutrients Provided so far. Transplant went smoothly too so shouldn’t be much or any shock involved there hopefully 🤞

Growth isn’t going as fast as I would like but the plant seems healthy. Maybe I’ll try another light for bloom phase. Only using cheap Chinese led at the moment n thinking maybe that’s holding back the potential of the strain. Trying a bit of early LST now. Not sure if I’m doing it right but the reaction was good I think 🤔

Going okay this week. Starting to take shape now from the LST. Doing some defoliation this week as well to allow light to get to the new growth. Starting to see the beginning of flowering now too so upped the bytes slightly. I did see a small bit of yellowing on one of the leaves after defoliation. The tip was yellowed and a few small yellow spots. Forgot to take a pic of it but was hopefully nothing. I’ll monitor it closely from now on to make sure it doesn’t occur on other leaves 🤞

Not much to report. All going steady enough. She’s starting to flower and growing nice n fast now. I got a new light. It’s a spider farmer sf-1000 so I’m excited about that. Nice white light! Bright as fuck. Looked at it when it was on and nearly went blind haha. But the spectrum is much better than the cheap blurple one I was using for veg so hopefully will see the difference shortly!

Going good I think. Her buds r getting bigger all the time but she doesn’t seem to be growing many side branches anymore. Prob just the way she grows as she’s a sativa. As long as those buds grow big n dense I don’t care about side branches. I’d prefer a nice amount of big bud over loads of small ones. She grew since I got the new light (spider farmer sf-1000). Couldn’t be happier with it. Perfect for the space I have. She’s taking the nutes quite well too n not showing deficiencies as far as I can see. If anyone’s noticed anything of course I would appreciate any input!? Her leaves are very dark alright but seem healthy. She’s not as thirsty as the gelato i have next to it tho.

Not too much has changed this week. I started the week with defoliation to allow more light through to the lower bud sites. Besides that she’s pretty much just been fattening up those buds. She’s starting to smell more n get nice n resinous. Almost all the pistils in the buds r staying white so hopefully a lot more bud growth to come!

Not much changed this week in regard to growth. Except the fattening of buds is all I’m waiting on. A few more pistils are darkening n there are plenty of trichomes on the buds n leaves! Even big leaves r covered. Trichomes r mainly milky n clear with a tiny amount of amber. Hoping these buds get a nice bit bigger before I must give her the chop!

Not too long to wait til harvest now!! I think I overdid the nutrients. Was following biobizz schedule but it seems very heavy n ppm was very high. The tips of leaves are yellow now from nutrient burn so I halved nutrients except bloom n top max. Should prob flush but I’m gona do a big flush End of this week and give just water then until harvest

So she’s nearly done. In fact she prob is done but my grow room is my drying room so she’s gona have to wait until the gelato is finished too. I flushed this week which is prob a bit late too so this is gona be the way it will go. Hopefully chop her next week. There’s a lot of amber trichs on the sugar leaves now but not so many on buds so hopefully doesn’t change too much in next week or so

Some nice purples coming in to the buds. I'll harvest her in a few days. She should be well flushed by then. Hopefully there's still a nice sativa high off this strain and I didn't leave the flush/ harvest too late 🤞

Harvested on day 81 but prob could have harvested a week or two earlier without sacrificing much or any yield or quality. She started flowering very early and is perfect for a quick grow n harvest. Was my first grow so obviously didn't do everything perfect but am happy with the results. Overall very happy with the strain and would grow again
