Durban takes me right back, one of the first I ever grew! A lot of seed banks had sold out, so I'm guessing shes had a bit of a resurgence! Looking forward to this one. Love, the doctor
Well she germinated! Took 2 days longer than Leia, and had me a bit worried, but she popped her little tail out so I planted her! And here she is! Slight stretch issue, given her something to lean on and moved her closer to the light. Not worried about it, she'll be getting topped eventually. Love, the doctor
Starting to root like a dream, will take her support away on the weekend. Adding some rootbastic into her feed, will give her at least another week before repotting. Love, the doctor
Another fine specimen, really taking well to the inclusion of rootbastic into the feed! Stem thickening nicely, will repot this lovely lady on the weekend. Love, the doctor
Repotted Winnie, she seems to like her new home! Gave her a little trim, shes almost ready for topping. I always go for a 10 branch system as its served me well. Cut out the rootbastic and lowered her feeding. Huge thanks for the advice guys and gals, love, the doctor
Miss Winnie has spent most of the week having the odd haircut and enjoying cocktails with a few lady friends! You can already see the sativa in this strain, its exciting times for me personally in veg. Letting her do her thing for at least another 2 weeks before flower. Love, the doctor
Bit of a slow week for winnie, not overfeeding or pruning so just letting her do her thing before I get worried. She is growing just a bit slower lol. But no rush to flower her so all is good! Love, the doctor
Much healthier this week, was going to flower her but decided on one more week veg:) I reckon she will go wild when in the flowering room so will keep an eye on any potential stretch. Gave some of the lower leaves a trim and will leave her now until the weekend! Love, the doctor
Winnie, aka "big durb", is enjoying her new home. Repotted same as Leia in a 20 litre root nurse, with the same medium. Got her on a diet of plagron terra bloom and plagron pure zym for a week. Training if and when needed. These grow tall so will be alert to any major stretch. She definitely has wild genetics in her, shes growing how she wants to! Quite thin and gangly, but all is well:) love, the doctor
Big durb is getting bigger! Training a few of the heads so the others can catch up, plus she has a longer flowering cycle so will train more. Will also keep her on the zym for another week while adding canna boost accelerator to her feed. Growing well, enjoying trying to tame her wild ways! Love, the doctor
Hello people! Big durb is growing great. Taken the zym out of her feed now, and stopped the training. Will let her strut her stuff now. I'm envisioning long thin branches with lots of pine cone style buds! Nice, thick and healthy branches, soil not too moist or dry, all is well! Love, the doctor
Winnie is looking sexier by the day, albeit a little thinner than I'd imagined? She is only on week 4 so that could change lol! Healthy, enjoying producing lots of pistils and the smell coming through already is heavenly! She has a lot of room to do her thing now so the end result should be top notch! Love, the doctor
Well big durb isn't as big as I was hoping, she seems a little stunted. Idk if this is a breeder/genetic issue or something from my doing, but she isn't anywhere near as big as her sisters. Yield will be an issue, however! She is stunning, glistening in any light she catches! Rub up against her and the sweet stench of spicy liquoricy skunkyness whiffs up. Heavenly! Keeping her on the same feed for one more week. Love, the doctor
So big durb is definitely stunted, but geez louise is she pretty! Growing great apart from the height. Fat, highly resinous buds with a sweet liquorice aroma. Should be a doddle to trim as well come harvest. Cut out the canna boost and replaced it with increasing amounts of bloombastic. Says 10-11 weeks, I'm guessing 10 on this diminutive stunner! Love, the doctor
Big durb aka little durb aka winnie lol is top heavy! She may be short but her tops are thick and dense, woke up to find serious droopage! Got a few stakes in, naturally supported, to give her a hand. The smell is divine, sweet, spicy, liquorice wafts up every time you touch her. The colours are bright and striking, very photogenic. At a bit of an odds, it says 10-11 weeks but I'm guessing she could be ready by 9? Will give her another full week of feed before deciding whether to reduce the dose or start the flush. Love, the doctor
Big durb is big bud good! Damn this girl is stacked!!! Immense buddage. Still short, but why am I complaining? Have you seen those buds??? Intense aroma of spicy clove, liquorice and a touch of haze. The colours are forever changing, the pistils darkening and twisting. Started the flush, she should be ready in 2 weeks! Love, the doctor
Flush going well, thought I'd spotted some mould on one of the buds, so slowed down her intake, added a damp trap and given her more fan time, will hopefully help. Otherwise all is good, planning on harvesting on the weekend, the seed company said 10-11 weeks, and shes almost at week 9 but I'm confident shes almost ready. Shes uber sticky, a strong spicy aniseed smell, not long left for big durb! Love, the doctor
She was very wild that's for sure. Grew all over the place, nothing uniform, until she started budding. She produced some lovely heads, but took her down almost 2weeks before the seedbanks recommended time as she was clearly ready. Either way, she is a great smoke! Dense buds, full of Crystal's. The colours are reddish brown with light green and sage. Smell is hazy and spicy, with a lemony aniseed hint. Buzz is full on sativa, fast acting. No couch lock with this mistress! Very creative, energetic and surprisingly clean headed, I love her long time! Love, the doctor
