Runtz by Zamnesia seeds

The First week of the Runtz strain by Zamnesia seeds. In the beginning the small plants had some heat stress since i have a new growroom (G-tools bonanza 0.35m2) with other lights than before.

This week the temprature dropped a bit so i needed a simple solution without high energy cost. I decided to buy a 55x55 cm heating mat with a thermostate to get the substrate temprature to 21 degrees Celsius. I also build a pvc frame for my clip-on fan and made a scrognet (not gonna use the net in this grow)

This week the heating mat i ordered arrived and i have put it inside the growroom, it didn't work properly since i don't have the temprature controler yet. I will use an electric heater till the controller arrive to get a better temprature in the nights. This week it was also time to transplant the plants to a bigger plant pot (11L) And after a day you can see that they continue growing already. Also my seeds for the outdoor season arrived, I'm gonna test 2x big haze autoflower from Hy Seeds. They come next to a big amnesia xxl auto from dinafem seeds, gorilla glue auto from Zamnesia and a sticky beast from Zamnesia. But this will be around half may so they still have to wait a bit.

Lets kick the new week of with a new PH meter from bluelab, my old one gives values that were way to high (PH 18.45) and also the temperature controller had been delivered. After 5 days in the new pots i decided to do some high stress training to the plants and i topped them all four. It looks like they enjoy the heating mat/temperature controller because they recovering really fast! Also the night/substrate temperature is much better now.

The Ladies are doing it very well and the growroom is getting filled out nice, all plants are avond the same height so far. This week is the first week i start to feed them with the starterpack of EPS meststoffen. It's a fertilizer that is made for the grow with led lights, so i needed to try it in combination with the 120W quantum board. I gave them a 0.4 ml calmag and 3 ml start (EC 1.2) and used PH- to make the PH 6.1 This is also the last week that the plants are standing under a 18/6 light cycle, next week i'm gonna switch it to 12/12 to start the flower stage 👍🏻

The plants are ready for the flowering stage so i have put my light off for 36 hours and gave them some foilar feeding. After the 36 hours the light cycle has set to 12/12. You can see they are making a huge grow spurt right now and the growroom is getting filled nice. In the middle of the week i took them outside the room to look if i see any pest, but everything is going well. They also were very bushy so i did defoliation/lollipopping.

The first week of flowering has official started now, 12 days after switching the light cycle to 12/12 the first buds were visible. So it's also time to switch a bit with the nutrients of the plant. I still gave a bit of start but also started with a small amount of bloom, i will build the bloom up so i can stop with the EPS start. I also selected wich leaves are blocking the light for the buds and did a bit of defoliation. The light smell they got before is slowly increasing when you open the growroom, this will predict something nice in a couple of weeks!

There we are again with a new week, you can see the buds popping everywhere and growing each day now. You can see in the photo's that 1 plant is growing/stretching a lot more than the other 3. I will wait 1 more week to see the differnce in height between them all and i will fill that out with some insulation material. But for now i will let them grow another week 👍🏻 I also switched the nutrients a bit and gonna build off the EPS start and switch it to EPS bloom, this week was the last time i gave them (mixed) start.

If you have read my last growdiarie you did know that i would put some insulation material under the plants to get them all at the same height. When they all went the same height i also lowered the lamp to plant distance a bit to 36 cm, i saw that my clipfan was blocking a bit of light so i switched it for 2 computerfans. And to maximize the yield/airflow i did some defoliation/lollipopping and thieved all the small buds under the foliage. I tried to make some clones from my best plant (left back corner) to see how revegging/monstercropping works. It seems that they like the new lamp to plant distance of 36 cm, you can see that the buds are getting bigger and the smell when you open the doors is getting awesome. I hope that they gonna taste that sheet as they smell! The EC is still on 1.9 and the temperature is pretty stable. I also bought a usb dimmer since i think the computerfans need a bit to blow a little bit harder. Welcome to a new growdiaries week👍🏻 Nothing really changed this week, i'm still using the EPS bloom with 1.9 EC. Next week i will slowly give them some EPS boost nutriënt and after that week i will totally switch from bloom to boost nutriënt. The grow is still going easily and smooth, the Runtz from zamnesia is a pretty easy strain so far. I guess this will be a nice round with frosty/tasty buds 💚 When i checked the clones that i made 2 weeks ago i saw that 6 have already roots. I forgot to make photo's but you'll get them next week. This week the buds are getting bigger/smellyer like each week but i noticed that i got something strange on my leaves, when looking better and asked some growmies for advice we think that it is a calcium deficiency. So i started to give 0.4 ml / 1L calmag with a 6.5 PH, i hope they will restore soon 👍🏻 I switched to my boost nutriënt instead of bloom so maybe this will also change a bit how the plants react. I also tested my new microscope to check the trichomes as you can see in the last pictures, i guess they still need 3+ weeks because most of the trichs are still clear and the buds still get fatter each day! All the reveg clones have roots now, 3 didn't survive but the rest got new shoes now 👟

I was thinking to give the plants another week of nutriënt, but when i checked the trichomes i changed that plan and start flushing with only water and PH- to get it to PH 6.0. From now i'm gonna check the trichs each day to get the perfect moment for harvest 👍🏻 Next week i will get all the big leaves of the plant and when it's nearly harvest time i will darken the plants for minimal 2 days without water.

I'm a bit late this update but i will post later this week the harvest pictures. This week was still only water with PH 6.0 to flush the last nutriënts out of the soil. As you can see on the pictures the buds swole up nice the last weeks and they have a serious amount of trichomes, it ain't strange that everything smells like it when i open the closet for a second 🤣 I did some heavy defoliation and removed all the big leaves to give the buds some extra light/stress in the last days. At the last 4 days i've put them in total darkness, at first i only want to do it 2 days but when i looked after 2 days new pistels popped out all of the buds so i decided to give them 2 more days. Next week you will see al the harvest/drying pictures 👍🏻

It was a really nice strain to grow that doesn't seem to give a lot about topping/defoliation. It looks like she can stand a lot off stress 👍🏻 Had 3 different phenotypes that were all indica dominant to see. Two of the phenotypes gave a bit less than the other two but one of them had a lot more trichs on it. All by all a really nice strain to grow, not the best yield but she's a heavy hitter with a nice taste so i'm really happy with 110 gram from 120W quantum board 👍🏻 I just started a new grow with 4 original gorilla plants from Anesia Seeds that i'm gonna upload later this week.
