Doing a little experiment. Germinated 2 seeds, will transfer one to soil, the other one to a hempy bucket(first stab at hydro). One came out with one yellow sucker but growing the same as the other so far.
The hempy does appear to be slightly ahead of soil. However, I'm having trouble knowing when to water the perlite and how often. Can't wait til the roots hit the reservoir. Both looking healthy and happy, slight nute burn on older tips on both but otherwise lookin good!!!!
Both plants are healthy, but the hempy just started to explode a couple days ago! A little N burn on the hempy, still trying to dial in the notes, ph, etc, but nothing holding her back!!!!!
Explosive growth this week on both plants, but wow you can see the difference once the hempy hit the reservoir!!! I decided I'm going to leave them alone, no training whatsoever.
Everything is going smooth on both plants, but the hempy is just exploding with new bud sites everywhere. Now I wish I had done some training lol but letting both grow natural on this run.
So the soil grow is clearly flowering, bud sites everywhere. She's showing some nute burn or deficiency though. If I can't figure it out ill be posting the question for the pros. The hempy is still vegging as far as I can tell, maybe only just starting to flower. Weird. But healthy and green and beautiful.
My hempy is still growing faster and greener than the soil grow, but she's not flowering! I see preflowers, but no buds forming. The other plant has been budding for a week. Any ideas? I could try a dark period but don't want to interrupt the 24/7 schedule of my other plants.
It's actually a bit of a problem for a lot of Auto Flower growers. What's the cause? It's most likely that is very little to no actual Ruderalis genes in your plant and she is not a true Auto Flower plant.
I think the hempy is starting to flower!! This plant is huuuuuge compared to any of my autos I've had. Not sure if I'm gonna a have enough room in the tent as I didn't do any training!
So the soil plant is about 2 weeks from harvest and looks/smells amazing! Nice dense buds, main cola needs to be propped up as it's so heavy and falling over.
The hempy(again, def not an auto) wont stop growing. Main cola keeps growing into my light. Need to macgruber a way to hang my light a little higher. As you can see from the pics, she's taking up half my damn tent, but several weeks away from harvest!!!!
OK. Hempy is flowering beautifully. Buds are fattening more and more each day, smells great...different...almost like cloves?
Anyway, she's showing some kind of deficiency or burn. I'm thinking it's a PH issue and will throw a question up if I can't figure it out.
The soil grow is maybe a week out from harvest. Maybe just a few days. Frostiest buds I've seen so far and smells yummmmmmy!
Overall great yield and relatively easy. It was my first hempy so had a bunch of first timer issues on top of the fact that this wasn't an auto. Still not too long in flower but really screwed my other grows up with light schedule and the room it took up. Seedsman was awesome and sent me replacement seeds so I will for sure make up for it. Might try again in the future but no more seeds in the fridge so could be awhile. Had a load of trim and used the lower bud sites to make some killlllller dry ice hash.
