If they get uninterrupted darkness for long enough to cause the hormonal balance to switch to bloom phase, then yes, it will cause that.
You can do things to interrupt darkness. Get a light out there on a timer. It probably doesn't need to be a grow light, but a very weak light for a few hours might cause some stretch (either before sunrise or after sunset doesn't matter).
You have the much easier of the 2 problems. Trying to block light outside isn't fun. some contraption with heat and airflow issues, lol.
If it's been out there 1 or 2 nights, probably okay? You'll know soon enough if you have confused her. She'll pop some weird looking leaves you cannot mistake for anything else.
it'll grow out of it, even if it does. No worries. If it's out too many days with that long of a dark period each night, it can take ~30 days to re-vege fully.
