Just introduced the girls to their new greenhouse and they seem to like it where the temps go up, which means I'm needing to water them more. I needed to keep an eye on the heat in the greenhouse so I added a SmartSensor to let me know when the heat gets too high. So when it get's higher than 30C I need to crack the lid to get the needed airflow. Maybe install a fan this week. Trying to co-ordinate the greenhouse "real-estate" with my wife who has some nice looking tomatoes growing. 😛 Jo also tracking the heat sensor from her cell app and she'll remind me when it gets too hot. I think she's into our little project as much as me. 😘 Soil: Destiny Dark Matter Watering: ~ Every every day 100 ml Light: 12 hrs natural greenhouse / 6 hrs LED

Cold week in Canada but I managed to get the girls in the greenhouse to get some well needed sunlight. Moved them under the indoor lights on the days with less sunlight. They're looking good. The plan for this week is to add some nutrients and up the pot size. The plan also includes better weather but I have no control in that department. . I'll keep learning and trying different techniques but we'll go slow and steady for this week.

Planted on 4/20 and it's now 1 month later. It was warmer this week and the girls doubled in size. Fed the girls with some organic nutes and they responded well. Also stepped up the pot size now that we're 1 month in. The roots looked strong and healthy during the transfer and I'm happy with the water cycle. I'll probably start adding more water now that they're in the bigger pot and spending more time in the greenhouse. ☀️ I think I need a bigger greenhouse. I can leave the smaller bushier plants that I trained in the greenhouse but the taller plants may need to be planted next to Jo's tomatoes in the garden. I'm not crazy about doing that cause I've got some pot smoking neighbours and I'm worried the girls may get stolen. It may be time to make the greenhouse bigger or point one of my security cameras on the girls. Planning to manifold the plants at the end of the week. It's my first time trying this technique for me and I've done some research. I'm hoping the plants will be smaller, more symmetrical and fit better into the greenhouse away from any spying eyes. I'm hoping to get better yields too. We'll see how it goes. I've got a good vibe going with these plants and they're doing well. I hope I don't fuck up.🤞🌱

Excellent weather this week with sun for most days. ☀️ The girls grew well and we got up to 6 nodes so I main-lined all plants. It's getting toasty in the greenhouse so I'm needing to open the lid to get some needed airflow. I'm also finding I have to water a lot more. Wifey took the main-line cuttings and decided to try to clone them. I'm happy she's part of the process but if they take, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with all these plants.🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 The smell is getting stronger in the house ♨️ with the 2 grows so I've moved the grow light to the shed for the added light and to stash the plants away from some of my curious neighbours. I'm so happy with how things are progressing and the plants are looking healthy and strong. 🤙Gonna spark up a J with Jo to celebrate the good week. 😏

Plants are progressing well. Tried main-lining this week for the first time on the 6 girls. I'm feeling nervous cause of all the stress they're getting, but they seem to be responding well. I did lose one plant but that's cause the nodes snapped during the LST when I bent the nodes to the parallel position. I'll chalk that mistake as experience, "light a candle", and move on.🕯️ I'm not too bummed about it cause I'm running out of space but I know next time to be less aggressive on the smaller plants. As Bob Ross says... “We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents.” 😊 Still applying the water treatment and leaf feed and they're looking healthy. Did the 2nd topping to split the nodes into 4. It's now time to leave them alone to grow for a week and gain some strength. 💪 Wifey Jo took the main topped node and created 6 clones that have been thriving for the past week. She's amazing when it comes to growing things. ❤️ I may have to set-up a new diary (or give them away) if the clones take off. 🌿🌿🌿 🌿🐧🌿 🌿🌿🌿

The girls have been permanently moved out of the greenhouse and keep on growing under a week of great sun. Gonna let the 2 new nodes grow out another few days before applying LST & final topping to hopefully produce 8 colas. One of the plants has some yellowing on the leaves. Checked the PH and we're at 6 so I think there's something else happening just for this plant. It was always the "runt" so I think it may be something genetic but I'll do some research and hopefully we can get it back to a healthy green.

A lot of sun and higher temps this week so I need to make sure the plants and soil don't overheat. I'm was expecting better veg growth after main-lining but they're taking their time bulking up. I'm sure some of the hot weather is slowing the growth but it's hard to control "mother nature". Also, the GSC plants are falling behind the SSH and Blue Bombs. Going to go for another 1 - 2 weeks of veg then will switch to flowering. I've definitely learned a lot from this grow.

Good growth this week after the transfer to the larger pots. All topping is done and the colas are getting set-up for flowering. I'll let them go for a few more days then switch to flowering. Hoping for some cooler weather as it's been hot for over a week. Jo's tomatoes are looking good too.

Left the girls to grow out for another week. Tied the main nodes to the support ring and did some light defoliation. The nodes are about 4 - 6 inches above the ring so this will be the last week of veg and next week they'll flip over to flowering. They all seem to be growing well with watering every 2nd day and about 15 hours of sun. One of the GSC plants is behind in size but has started to fill out better with some light training and defoliation.

Another week of warm dry weather. Moved the girls to a 12/12 light cycle in the backyard shed and I rigged up some inline fans to circulate the cool air during the night. I also made sure to seal up all the light leaks. The night temps are slightly higher than I'd like but the girls seem to love the environment and have shown some good stretch. I'm being super careful not to stress them by watering them too much or fluctuating the temps as I'm paranoid that they might herm out on me. 😞 This happened with another grow and I really don't want any male traits in any of these plants. Introduced some top dressing with Destiny Launch and also included some pro bloom during the water cycle. Things are progressing well. 👍 Jo's tomatoes are also loving the hot weather and hanging with the 5 girls. 😊

This is my second grow (outdoors) and I need some advice. Saw some holes on the SSH fan leaves. When I flipped one of them over, I found a visitor that I think is a Spider Mite. The grow is looking good but I want to avoid any problems. How do I get rid of them?

Temperatures cooled off this week and the girls are looking good. Just letting them grow and I've been watering about every second day. Added a tea blend at the end of week 2 and I'm hoping for some good bud growth over the next 2 weeks. There were some holes in some of the leaves but after some good advice from @Rap_a_cap 👊 and @Magic43562 👊 , I found that there were pests from the garden eating the leaves of the SSH. I moved the plant to the patio area and noticed that no more holes were showing up. The nice neighbor lady noticed my girls when she was watering her garden and asked what kind of tomatoes I was growing. I told her they were weed plants and asked her to keep it "our little secret". She then walked over to a section in her yard where there were some pots, and I was surprised when she showed me one of her weed plants. We're now sharing tips on how to grow better weed. 😊 N-P-K -> H-M-L

Temps cooled off this week to mid to high 20s. Much better than the hot days we had last week. Not much going on this week other than just letting the girls grow. Added some Launch top dressing to the soil and watering every 2nd day. I can see that the girls are pushing to build up the bud growth. 👍

The grow is going well. Fed the girls the weekly Ignition microbe tea (which stinks like rotting garbage) and they are responding well. I'm hoping to see some better bud development this week cause it looks like the growth is now focused on the colas. The GSCs are still behind in height but the buds look good. I'm still having to move the plants into the shed for the 12 hrs of darkness. There's been no defoliation or training done for the last 3 weeks. N-P-K -> H-H-L

Rain for most of the week so I've had to move the girls under my patio umbrella so that they don't get soaked. Temps dropped into the mid to high 20s. Another application of the Ignition micro tea and also added some molasses with the Pro Bloom and Amplify water conditioner. The girls responded well and seem to be pushing hard to bulk up on the colas. The colas are getting top heavy too so I tied them down to the rings and added some support sticks that Jo bought for me. Thanks Jo! I just love watching these plants grow and I'm starting to get some great smells from the buds. Still watering every second day but I upped the volume as the soil seems to be drying out faster as they bulk up. I'm Happy. 😊

The girls enjoyed another week of warm sun. They grew about 1 inch and I think they've done with the upward growth. The buds are getting fatter every day and we're starting to get a nice danky smell in the air. I'll continue to feed all the plants for week 7 and then start the flush after that. There are 3 strains so I'll need to watch how each matures and will probably have to stagger the weeks when they come down. I was hoping for a more frosty covering of triches after 6 weeks as they move into final bloom. Some good growth last week compared to previous weeks so I'm expecting better triche growth in W7 & W8. There was some yellowing of the lower fan leaves and I'm letting them drop off by themselves. They've also accepted the added dose of molasses over the last 2 weeks. Keeping a close eye on them as they move to final bloom. GSC - Height at 15". Throwing off a sweat smell with shorter dense buds. Berry Bomb - Height at 26". Sweat piney smell with longer buds. SSH - Height at 25" - Skunky lemon smell with long and dense buds

Weather cooled off this week with sun out for ~5 days of the week. The buds are staring to ripen and I'm expecting to bring down some of the plants by the end of week. Dialed back the Pro Bloom at the beginning of week 7 and started the flush at the end of the week. The bottom half of the plants are showing some yellowing but the plants are looking healthy with no pest damage. I'm picking off the fan leaves that are totally yellow or have some dry crusty leaves and they easily fall off with a slight touch. I'm leaving the other yellowing leaves on the plant until they get totally yellow. The smells coming off these plants are amazing and I'm looking forward to starting to harvest some bud soon. Time to get the curing room ready. 😊👍 I'm learning so much on my second grow with the different strains and some of the new techniques. I'm sure future grows will get better with all this knowledge I've picked up. For timing the harvest, I'm using a 30/60 magnifier loupe and a magnifier app on my phone so I can start documenting the ripening process. Here's where I'm at... GSC 1 & 2 - Pistils 30% brownish red - Trichomes 50% opaque with some amber - Estimate harvest at end of week 8 BB 1 & 2 - Pistils 20% brownish red - Trichomes 30% opaque - Estimate harvest week 9 SSH - Pistils 20% brownish red - Trichomes 20% opaque - Estimate harvest week 9

Another week of good sun. It's getting close to harvest and the plan is to bring the 2 GSCs down this week. Berry Bombs and Silver Haze need more time so I'll have to stagger the harvests. Flushing all plants with water only. Still moving the plants to the shed each night for the 12/12 light cycle. Got some nice big fatty buds on the BB & Silver Haze. Not so much for the GSCs but I'm still thinking it'll be a decent yield. I had to support some of the buds on the BBs cause the buds are getting too heavy for the stems. 💪 It's been a great grow so far and I can't wait to sample some bud...but I keep telling myself to hold out for the best quality. 😊

Quality seeds from QCS. Ordered the GSCs and SSH and was surprised and happy to get an extra 10 Berry Bomb seeds. 😍 Thank you QCS!!! : 1:👊 Seeds germinated within a couple of days and survived a hot summer with some stretches of brutal heat. No issues with pests or nutrients for this organic grow. I was hoping to get a better yield but I'm blaming my inexperience instead of the seed genetics for the final numbers. I'll be making QCS my "go to" for any future grows and I would recommend these seeds to any cultivator looking to grow some quality bud.

It's been an awesome run with very few issues. Good nutrient balance throughout the grow with no nutrient burn or stunted growth. The bigger plant grew so symmetrical and looked very beautiful in the final weeks of bloom. 😍 Beautiful buds with an even blanket of yellowy lime coloured fan leaves. It was a shame to cut down such a pretty plant but I'm sure I'll get over it once I burn some bud. Lessons learned on the GSC run... - The Destiny Grow System with the nutrient enriched soil, ph balancer and grow teas kept the plants healthy and strong during the first half of the grow. Will consider again. - The Botanicare Pro Bloom helped with the bud growth and the plants loved the addition of molasses every other feed. They rarely showed stress during the cycles. - The small DIY greenhouse came in handy during the wet and cold days which allowed me to start the grow earlier in the season. (see week 2) - Veg period was slow so I'll probably lengthen the light cycle to 20 or 24 hours during the first few weeks of veg on my next grow. - Loved, Loved, Loved, main-lining these plants. It was my first time trying this technique and it worked great. It did add some time to the grow due to recovery of the mainlining, but the yield was good and the maintenance was reduced especially during flowering. It also gave me the stealth I needed with the smaller compact growth. Will definitely do it again on future runs. - Learned to water only when needed. Sometimes there were 3 days before I would water depending on the daily heat and humidity levels outdoors. - Had some pest issues but got some great advice from Rap_a_cap and Majic43652. Their advice help me fix the bug issue. Thanks for the feedback! 👊 - For next year's outdoor grow, I'll let them naturally grow and flower into Sep/Oct rather than to control the light cycle by moving them in and out of the shed dark room. - This diary has 3 strains and each strain had different characteristics and harvest times. For all future diaries, I'll be sticking to only one strain per diary which should make things easier to track. The best lesson learned is that growing good weed takes some effort. The more time you take to learn about your grow the better the results. Luckily this site has many experts with knowledge and experience. I found the community of growers were always ready with tips and advice when I needed help. There's also a lot of articles online to learn from. So...The buds are now drying in the basement and I went with the wet trim cause of the higher humidity in the room. Final wet weight at 290g. ~35g trim and popcorn bud which I'll use to infuse some olive oil for my wife's bruschetta.😋 Earthy sweet smell in the dry room. I love walking in to the room to breathe in and enjoy the dank smell. Smoke Experience.... Good burn with white ashes with a smooth sweet draw. Not harsh at all. Immediate trippy/happy feeling with a nice cerebral high. Just a great zen feeling where sense of time disappeared.😊 Finished off by slipping into a deep relaxed feeling and chilled watching a movie with Jo. Felt great the next day...didn't have that "heavy" feeling. Gonna spark up another later tonight. 👍

Started with 2 plants from seed but botched one of them during the main-line, so this harvest is based on only one plant. The one plant that did survive had a decent yield and weighted in more than the 2 GSCs combined so I'm kinda bummed that I murdered the sister plant. Looking forward to quality control in a couple of weeks. Got the 10 Berry Bomb seeds as a freebie bonus from Quebec Cannabis Seeds. 😍 Thank you QCS!!! These seeds were a nice surprise and grew without any major issues. Buds started turning blueish/purple in the last 2 weeks. If the temps were a few degrees cooler, more coloring would show. On the next grow, I'll lower the temps during flower to bring those colors out. I'll be making QCS my "go to" for any future grows and I would recommend these seeds to any cultivator looking to grow some quality.

Easy to grow and produced the biggest buds out of the 3 strains in this grow. The buds started turning purple in the last week due to the colder weather. For my next BB grow, I'll try to control the temps better to bring out the purple colors. Lessons learned on the Berry Bomb run... - Try SCROG technique on next run. So...The buds are now drying in the basement and I went with the wet trim cause of the higher humidity in the room. Final wet weight at 622g. ~92g trim and popcorn bud which I'll use to infuse some olive oil for my wife's bruschetta.😋 Berry/Earthy smell Smoke Experience.... Slower to kick in compared to the SSH but the high started out as trippy then very relaxed. It'll probably be my "go-to" just before bedtime. Edible - Olive Oil I also made about a litre of olive oil for the first time. The end result is much better than I expected and it was much more of a longer trippy head high. Steps for best results... - Grind 1 cup of weed.(mostly sugar leaves and larfy buds) Place on backing sheet covered with parchment paper. - Decarboxylate: bake in the Over for 60 minutes at 240 degrees F - Combine decarboxylated weed with 1 cup of Extra Virgin Olive oil in a slow cooker - Cook on low for 6 hours stirring every 2 hours - Strain the oil into a container using a fine strainer or cheese cloth and let cool - When cool, store the oil in 100ml bottles Dose: THC ~ 15mg/ml One teaspoon will give you a smooth uplifted high. One tablespoon will knock you on your ass.

I wouldn’t rush into transplanting so soon, wait till the roots have a solid structure formed and can take more stress when being transplanted. They are looking good and growing fast! 👍

Thanks for the info @TheBudTender. I'll take your advice and hold off for another week or when they grow a few inches.
