Red Dragon

Starting out with a couple of clones I picked up. Looking forward to my second grow with all the knowledge I picked up from the last one! Already swapped my blurple lights for the natural sunlight look.

Well they made it passed the first week! They seem fairly happy although I have an issue with my lights too close or my PH off. I think the former so I've raised the lights ever so slightly to see if it makes a difference.

Still trying to figure everything out. I sort of tore my tent apart after the last one and updated my lights and some other things; so I'm still dialing everything in (just got my second light the other day). They are growing pretty fast and look good I think. Someone mentioned I may be using too much N, so I dialed the CalMAG down from last week to hopefully adjust that. The curling leaves don't look nearly as bad after the second feeding of the new formula. Transplanting to the new 5 gal helped too I think. Did a bit of trimming and topped them as well as some LST. Hoping they will bounce back quickly from everything so we can get on with the good stuff.

These girls just want to grow. If I could just get the nutes right they would probably explode! Seems that I am too hot with the N from what I can tell, so I dialed them back about 20% from what it was. Already they seem to be a lighter green but still a bit of curl on the ends. Not seeing it on the new leaves which is good. I was definitely stressing them out previously with the lights and have since lowered the wattage and raised them a bit more which they like. Hopefully this is the combination they like! --May 25-- They are looking much happier with the new nute mix. I think I'm on the right track with these ladies now. Looking really bushy. Going to give them a little bit longer in veg and then on to the fun stuff. --May 27-- So far so good. They look even healthier this morning when I opened the tent. Lots of leaves on both and the only signs of stress are on the older leaves which still have curled tips. Assuming they won't come back but thats ok. Lots more leaves on her. taking more pictures now so I can get a better idea of the daily changes.

Well I have flipped them over to flower. We shall see what happens now. Leaves are still slightly curled at the tips on some of the leaves but if its still nitrogen hopefully the added P & K from the boost will even it out. Guess I'll find out soon enough if they are in rough shape. They look good otherwise so maybe I'm just being paranoid. --June 9-- So I'm going to flush these girls out and lower my nute mix again. The curling leaves is just not disappearing and I want to get it fixed before I get too far along in flower. Was hoping the new mix with bloom was going to help but apparently not. :( --June 10-- Flush is done and I've mixed up a new batch of nutrients thats only 50% of the recommended dose for canna stuff. Lets see how this goes now.

Busy busy busy, falling behind on updates here. Started this week a few days ago and have been trying to get things on track again. Did a flush on Monday or Tuesday with nothing but PH'd water and florakleen. Dropped the nute mix down to 50% normal feeding guide and here we are. Today I failed an exam and so I took my frustrations out on gardening. As a result I ended up lollipopping the girls pretty severely. They needed it, but hopefully it wasn't too much for them. Hopefully the nitrogen issue is dealt with but we shall see. Going away next week so no updates for a while. Girls will be cared for though.

The better half took care of the girls last week while I was away for work and she did an awesome job. Thinking about retiring and handing the torch to her! She did some major trimming over the week which looks amazing. She did a lot of trimming in my last batch and has learned (as I have) that the stuff that doesn't get light is not worth it. For the nutrients, moved into the next phase of the mixture as it looks like the stretch is done now. Still have some curled leaves but they are old ones and I'm not seeing the curl appear on the new ones. I'm wondering if they are too close to the light now though as the leaves near the buds are really skinny. I think they will be sugar leaves but not 100% yet.

I could stare at these things all day! they are so pretty. Seems like they finally recovered after the trimming last week so now we're down to business. I don't think I will do any more trimming but I have been tucking the leaves down to open up the buds a bit more. Excited to see them develop after some of the pic's I've seen elsewhere. -=Jn 30=- Took some more pics today since i removed a bunch of leaves yesterday. Still learning this craft but I do understand more leaves is not a good thing for buds. The better half wasn't happy that I did that since she just did a big trim job on them last weekend. It took them 4 days to get back to a normal water cycle after that. She's concerned I stressed them out again. I don't think I did though cause I had runoff this morning using the regular amount of mix. I think I should take more leaves but I'm going to wait a couple more days to see how they behave.

its PK week! hopefully get to see these girls fatten these buds up a bit and hide more of that stem they're holding onto! I don't think I took enough leaves again this time though. Still lots of stuff that could just go. I think I have a schedule going forward for this now. I can now see what needs to stay and what could go. Hopefully there's enough air and light to get some fat buds!

Starting to see some color in the buds now. Lots of sparkles too! I increased the wattage on my lights as I forgot that I had turned them down during veg (cause they were getting burned). Curious if the brighter lights will do anything for them now. Guess we will see soon enough. -=JL 16=- Well I don't think they hate the brighter lights! Some of the smaller cola's are starting to fall over with the weight. Also a good sign I think. Gotta figure out a way to hold them up since I have not planned or thought that out...

Looking better every day! Starting to see some purple in the buds and some of the leaf tips around the buds are starting to yellow. smelling really good and some of the colas are actually falling over. Had to prop some of them up with some tomato cages I picked up at the dollar store. Getting really close I think. :)

Its been a busy few weeks and I've had to get some help to finish off the grow. vacation and work have kept me away and unable to update. Last week I dropped everything but bloom & zym to ripen them up as some of the trich's already had some cloudiness. LOTS of color in the leaves too! Most color I've had in my tent so far! Plumping up so much that some of the cola's are starting to fall over. Had to add supports to keep them standing. One more week!

This is definitely it! SOOO many colors. I included a shot of the full tent so you could get a look a the color change difference! BEAUTIFUL! And they smell amazing. The leaves tacoed a bit on top after I turned up the lights but I don't see any ill effects on the buds from that (I raised the lights higher when I noticed the taco). Turned out the lights this afternoon and will give them the chop tomorrow. I'll update again once I've dried them and weighed them for the cure.
