This diary is directed toward the possible creation of some of the first mag landrace seeds available to people. It is a Iranian landrace that was transplanted from Iran to an Illinois grow facility and is hailed as the number 1 strain in Illinois. Landrace are known to hermaphrodite so I’m treating her with extra tender loving care. Her thc levels range from 25-30% thc!
Happy with the fresh start. Had so many issues last run I could of gotten sick. This run will be much much better as I’ve corrected all my issues. Not going to be able to veg these 3 girls long bc the Ogkz in hydro is crowding a lot of tent space! The main thing that is going to improve this grow in yield and quality is that my water quality is now what’s needed for true living Organics so the girls will be fed a lot better, without salt buildups. The soil is alive! Worm castings and high nitrogen bat guano, and dolomite lime added in this grow.
Loving the California light works 250 watt led for vegetation. Perfect for 2x2 tent. Really looking forward to the flowering period. Had water issues last run, so yield was effected. 9/10 times I find myself needing more nitrogen in the middle of flowering, so going to be brewing organic teas this run. The blueberry cookies was super sensitive to fox farm ocean forest soil. She just now snapped out of a burn.
This was the most productive organically grown plant I’ve ever grown. Reeks of musty strawberry cookies. Huge beefy nugs covered in a decent layer of trichomes.
I’ve decided to put my California lightworks solar extreme 250 led to the challenge of flowering the blueberry cookies. The light is full spectrum light that runs $249.00, and is extremely bright for an led. My phenotype of blueberry cookies is extremely sensitive to nutrients. My goal is to yield one oz from her. So far this light vegetates well and encourages strong stem and root growth. It’s time to see if this light can produce some nice nug!
Have had a great week except for one thing that is a bummer. The mag landrace is a hermaphrodite. I almost chucked her but I’ve played this game before, and since I’m seeing that she’s going to throw buds, I’ve clipped off any pollen sacs hoping they won’t show up all through the flowering period. If it continues to grow to many pollen sacs I’m chucking it. The dark ghost train and strawberry Eclair are in early flower and are 100% female.
Had somewhat of a sad week. Had to kill the mag landrace bc it was a full blown hermaphrodite. All others who tried this strain that I could find had hermaphroditism with theirs as well. Can’t win them all, but I’m gonna win! I’m only allowed 5 girls so now that I’m down to 4, I can sprout one of my created strain ( glue Mac)seeds soon.
Great week! All 4 remaining girls are 100% female now. The organics are taking in the bud tea well as well, so I finally got my own personal tea brewing instructions. Thought the bb cookies was going to be a dude, but she supposed me!
A much better Overall run this round. The organics have received nothing but the purest of water, some dolomite lime, n bat guano and worm castings. The b guano and castings are not causing issues like the happy frog all purpose did. By this time in flower last run, my girls were not very healthy at all because the hard water and hot nutrients stunted their true potential, even tho all 5 turned out terrific in quality.
Breeder says the short strawberry eclair is more berry in aroma. I really thought this strawberry strawberry eclair might hermy on me, but she’s def a 100% female that takes her time. The aroma is just as you would guess..... strawberry cookie like. I’m now familiar with how Girl Scout cookie flowers form, so it’s obvious to me that this girl is not gsc dominate and is leaning toward the strawberry cough in phenotype characteristics.
I have not seen any attempted runs with the strain strawberry Eclair ( s cough x gsc) unfortunately this strain was discontinued so I feel that I will be the only one with this strain on grow diaries.
@Oldbay, I purchased an 8th from a local medical dispensary. I thought I got lucky when I found a seed, but when I’m through the mag landrace plant into flower, she was 50% male and 50% female so I chucked it. It is an amazing indica strain.
