As the title states first time growing, started with letting the seed soak for about 30 hours in distilled water, then did the paper towel method, the sprout has fallen on the 7th day, about halfway through the light cycle, the steam has a lot of white hair on it, the sprout has since been propped up. Everything seemed to be going alright. In earlier photos you can see the stem was at a decent thickness and since has seemed to thin. I spritz the soil at least once a day right now, pH levels have been consist at 6.3-6.5. I don't know if it is getting too little water or too much. Also I'm not sure if its stretching and if I need to lower the light again. The seed coat has cracked and been splitting open, but at a very slow rate. Some photos I've seen cotyledon leaves as early as day 3 or 4, so I'm not sure exactly what I am doing wrong.

Hey @CoCayne, @@frags is right. 12 days without getting direct light is not a good start as the first two weeks are crucial to the growth and size of the plants. I'm sure that she will respond great anyway but that's the best way to stress them out and relly influence on the yield, next time be more careful! ;) Enjoy Growing Faster

In the future, misting (or otherwise wetting) the seed hulls seems to help a lot; so do germing methods that involve keeping the seed hull wet instead of just moist. Be careful! If they are weak in this stage they are vulnerable to something -- fungus i think -- that will eat at their main stem in a way they cannot afford, weakening it and stunting them permanently or killing them outright. Watch air temp and humidity.... also make sure you dont leave the soil soaked completely; during seedling time i water far away from plant to make the roots travel and make sure the top parts of the roots are dry and breathing (they need air too). Everyone's gotta start somewhere, you got this! I will be following your profile as well as this diary to see how things go!

I got it removed and she looks not so great, which is understandable I feel so bad, but thank you for helping! Do you think she'll be okay? I uploaded the photo with the shell off

@CoCayne, do not give any nuts to her, try to get humidity 60+. And if you have some stresskiller for your plants its can be perfect.(like mychorize bacteries i saw for transplanting peoples using it to kill stress on roots.) Anyway. she will be allright. Good luck
