Doin a rip of some peyote cookies! We enjoyed it so much last year we decided to grow some indoors, it's by far so far our fav strain so here we are with 10 beauties that just came up out of the soil, I know the pics sucks and there hard to see but they are there!!! Ive placed them on one side of the pots for training purposes, gonna veg under some t5's for a few weeks and get them stacking and start training. This is a veg soil made up from when I made a batch of super soil for the outdoor ladies, it was a 1/3 ratio mixture with 4-4-4 gaia green.
The slow ass seedling stage...... here it is! Not much to report, just watering and trying to keep one of the ladies pointed up as she just wants to keep fallin but I’m sure she’ll perk right up here soon enough! Just gonna sit back soak up some T5’s and veg out, next time we see these ladies they’ll be under the M/H, peace!
these fine ladies are looking good. after seeing what happened to my other plants after 2 weeks away I'm thinking my plan won't work so i'm going to alter it bit as of now, might be moving to flower in two weeks we'll just have to see over the next two how they do user the 600 mh. just been getting water nothing more. feed coming up tho next week.
so we're a day early here, but lots to do tomorrow! but anyways they got transplanted into a flowering super soil i made for the first time making one so i'll be keeping notes and how it does. going to veg for one week in the 3 gal pots and see how they look then i'm thinking i'm going to flip them so hopefully they take right off after getting the new home. soil mixture is
** for a 30 gal of soil**
9 gal of promix organic her and veg
9 gal of cow manure compost
9 gal of vulcanite pumice
6 cups of 2-8-4 gaia green
1.5 cups of mineralized phosphate gaia green
3 cups of basalt rock dust gaia green
1 cup of glacial rock dust gaia green
5 cups of kelp meal gaia green
this is all being tested for the first time so not sure this stuff might be a little to rich but we'll just have to wait and see i guess. i did use clonex mycorrhizae a tea spoon in each root ball. i was having heating issues, i first had the portable ac in the tent but it was always working to hard, so i put it outside the tent and it did a lot better. the room is now staying at 26 with the lights on, and my lights are also still plumbed into the duct work for the house so its still pumping hot air thru the house and it got hot in here today so once the light go out ill be plumbing into the window, so that should help a lot more. i was going to train the as why i put them on one side of the pot in the one gal but decided not to as i just want to see how this super soil is going to be like. i'm not wasting time training all all that other then a super crop here at some point but no tying them down as i once had in mind.
Well there’s 6 weeks of veg down, tonight will be the first night of 12/12 with HPS bulbs in. I’m going to be running the lights from 9pm to 9am due to summer heat and hopefully the tent will run cooler at night. Everything was super cropped today to limit the stretch a little bit, she’s 95% indica so might not get to much stretch, I also don’t have a clue as this is my first photo run with the HPS. All light leaks to the room have been addressed with green bulbs in the room. I’m at least hoping to get an ounce per plant if more great just not really sure what to expect. I feel as tho there is still lots of N in the pots but maybe over the next two week they’ll chew right thru it. Maybe I should have lowered the lights but I’m just going to leave em at the top of the tent..... well that’s it for now, I leave tomorrow for work so the next time we see em they should have some bud starting hopefully!
So we kinda fucked up 🤷♂️ Ok so I never even thought when I was making my soil that they would veg for a week and then the stretch and made a straight up bloom soil........ so where did that bring us....... right into a P excess 😒. But anyways they are looking better then I thought they would I mean the bottoms are pretty rough but it is what it is, growing pains. One plant outa the 10 is show very good growth over all the rest so If I can at some point I’ll get a clone maybe re veg her. Hopefully things pull thru
Well here we are 3 weeks of flowering, I’m fighting so hard to leave em alone as I want to feed them but just coming out of a p excess isn’t going to help them any so we’ll wait another week and see how things are as I’m sure there is still tons of nutes left in the soil, there is still a touch of N in the pots as you can see some leaf curl. There doing a lot better than I thought they would as they were really rough looking during the stretch. Notes have been taken For the next super soil run!
Here we are the start of week 4 not to shabby. I did run into a k deficiency but has been corrected And fed with some fish mix, And mineralized Rock phosphate, going to hit them next week with either some 2-8-4 or 2-7-7 not sure yet see how things play out here. Took some lights out photos so ya can see my fuck ups 😂 leaving for work, 2 weeks so I can’t wait to see what they look like then just hope everything is on cruise till then. Shouldn’t see anymore stretching?!?! I forgot to log last weeks height so I’m gonna say it’s pretty much over and just bud packing time! The smell is really starting to take off and the carbon filter is doing a wicked job zero complaints. Anyways peace ✌️🏻
So were on day 42 i believe, might be looking a little rough for 42 days?!?!? oh well this grow has been a big learning curve with the indoor thats a for sure! but the buds are looking really good, they look really solid! So the ol lady took em outside to give a flush while i was gone and pretty sure she threw a couple across the yard 😂😂 we have a few broken branches but it's all good, there is an extreme amount of work going on here this summer between the outdoor and the indoor. Barneys says 55-65 days for this strain i checked last night and i'm going to say were about 70% cloudy and have only spotted a few amber, i'm sure all my screw up with this grow has something to do with it, but gotta learn some how right, you can read all you want but things are very different when you start to apply in the field. They really have one stink off them i tell ya i just cant wait for these to be done as so far it's my fav strain and cant wait to try the next with super soil, i'm bound and determined i'm going to get this super soil, not going to give up yet!! The ol lady sent me a pic while i was away at work and had a slight potassium deficiency so i had her give them some gaia green langbeinite 0-0-22 and i kind of forgot what was in it: 22% K 18% MG and 22% S, so i do believe this stuff was way to heavy as i've already but a ton of basalt rock dust and glacial rock dust when i built the soil, so that is where i think i'm gettin all the weird yellowing, mag overload?? anyways there have been lots of notes taken and hopefully the next run of barneys CBD caramel 1:1, glookies, and strawberry lemonade will be a lot better!!! I'm very sorry if some of my picture are fuzzy, i do find it hard sometimes to take pictures with my Hand-Arm vibration syndrome, the damage has been done to my hands and arms and is something that can't be corrected so sometimes it's hard with the shaking some days are better then other days but it is what it is no time to dewell on it just move along!!!💪 peace out growmies!
The smell is amazing inside that tent let me tell ya. I gave them a bit of biobizz fish mix as the fade may have kicked in a little early. Nearing the end tho so when the time comes i'll just take them outside and flush with my set up for the outdoor, will be able to get a good flush on em. It would be nice to see if these finish before i have to leave again, i'm not counting on it. I cant wait to try her out, I'm setting up and automated curing system so we will do a nice long dry and cure.
Peyote cookies just chugging along here, were gettin very close to finishing here just waiting on some amber to start showing up. One went hermi on me but i picked the bananas off and checked her with the 60x as i thought she might have finished eary but shes not just there yet so i'll keep and eye on her over the next week to make sure she doesn't pollinate the others but she is the closed one to done so far. Im going to mark up the hermi from all the stress shes been thru. I mean we've had some heat issues along the way, excesses, and deficiency going on its been a ride but they pulled thru. Just been flushing the last week to try and clean everything out really and keeping an eye on the hermi, the bananas didn't get big enough for any pollination i don' believe. This might just be the last time ya see these girls untill trimmed up as i leave for 2 weeks again, yes again time flys by, but if there ready before i come home in which i suspect they will be the wife will be giving them the chop to start the drying process. After the drying process we will be curing these dried out bud in an automated curing system to see how well it actually works. im not interested in burping jars anymore lol If you want to see the curing system i'll have it in my other diary. 2020 barneys farm outdoor.
well here we are week 16 harvest time, checked with the 60x microscope and between the 10 of em they have about 5-15% amber so i'm going to get while the getting is good. This should give me enough time to have them trimmed before i leave and put into the automated curing system. I really cant wait till this stuff is done but i will be waiting i'm thinking a 3 month cure before even opening the bucket. I feel as tho it turned out better than i was expecting after the hell i put these girls thru. feels some nice to have cut them down with all the work around here and what did i do, started soaking the next batch for indoor.......man of man ya'd think one would have learned wha....nope. Had a lot of branched broken from the weight, hopefully get get some tight nugs outa these girls, but again not expecting much of what i did to em. i am going to try and re veg one girl, the best looking one out of the bunch so we'll see how that works.
Aug 23: just trimmed so i'll have a smoke report after the cure. peyote was just placed in the buckets so now just the waiting game, the cannabis is stored in a room that is 18C roughtly 59% RH.
over all the grow turned out better than i thought it would, seeing as i nuked em, over fed em, stress these girls out to the max, had heat problems for a bit and the list goes one but for it turned out not to bad. as i was trimming i noticed a few had hermied but it is what it is. between the heat and the fuck ups, i did find a few seeds but i just tossed em all away space in the tent is valuable so i'm not screwing around with these seeds. only took a few hrs to trim the leaf to bud ratio is pretty good so it doesn't really take that long for a nice trimming. right now i have the timer on the bucket to exchange the air twice a day for 10 mins and let me tell you when that timer kicks in what a smell coming out of that bucket man wow it's so strong and to think it's only going to get better?! cant wait, i'm thinking im at least going to leave it in the bucket for 6 weeks min before touching so i'll finish up the smoke report then!
@Fire_Farmer, Buckets need to be air sealed, air pump, some air lines and burp valves. It’s best to store them in an climatized room to control air temps and RH just as Hellish is doing here
Stay strong buddy, you've got some beautiful plants growing and if things don't quite work out how you'd like inside you've got some fucking beauties outside!! Happy growing my friend 😊🌿
They’re looking great! 👍
They seem a bit dark green though, don’t they? I got that with my last grows as well, also around week 4-5. Turned out it was a potassium deficiency, so I started giving them a boost, even though the nutrient plan was saying I should first do that after I flip them to flower. Turned out they bloomed much faster than the previous grow.
Anyway, I guess that will automatically happen as soon as you start feeding them, I see u haven’t done it yet.
Oh.. and yours are in soil, mine in coco, well, just a thought.
@Hellishjam,
They’re looking sturdy, that’s for sure! 😉
Now I see the few burned tips, you’re right, must be Nitrogen.
Let’s see how they develop 🍀
Btw, how come you plant them at the edge of the pot and not in the middle, is it for spacing them out?
@Green_Dream, I put them in a super soil i made myself just for veg should be good for right around 5-6 weeks maybe longer little heavy on the nitrogen from the fish compost i used it's strong stuff. trying to figure out good soil recipes still pretty new at this haha
@Hellishjam, Haha you're gonna do it!!! I fixed a fucked up dry with a 7 months cure and the magic made the smoke from unbearable to absolutely amazing, tasty and smooth 😄
Them are looking like some SOILID buds man! Kudos. You weathered the storm and about to get to enjoy the efforts! Amazing this is just the appetizer to the main course of Barney’s.
@WildeWeed, so far to date this is my fav strain from barneys, tried it outdoor and cant want to try the indoor! they do seem pretty solid, if you were in Canada ol buddy i'd send ya some!
Not a bad little bonus crop, despite your abuse and neglect!...looks frosty as hell!👍
Love those burp-free curing buckets. The smallest size gamma seal lids I can find are for 2 gallon buckets...a bit overkill for me unless I do ever run a single-strain grow...
Thinking maybe new 1-gallon paint cans...which, for your smaller one-off autos, you could use them or 1 quart paint cans too, and just hook them into your system...just need a splitter for them. You can drill holes into them easily, they are opaque, and they seal very well.
