day 36: a new week for the ladies and they are definitely in bloom now. Currently they are still only getting RO water with some calmag (to 0.4 mS) added, and the pre-fertilization from the Plagron royalmix seems to hold up fine.. it's supposed to last 6 weeks and so far so good, but obviously this means i need to keep a closer eye on them, for being able to jump in and start feeding them, once it's been used up.
The blumat-tropf system works great.
day 37: since the lower leaves start yellowing very lightly, this indicates to me that the prefertilization of the Plagron mix is slowly depleting, so i have changed the water in the blumat-reservoir from RO/calmag only to a proper GHE nutrient solution, with AN additives.. EC i set to 0.8, PH 5.9. They advertise with the mix being pre-fertilized for 6 weeks, so that's pretty much right on point.
also the White Widow that had initially shared a box when they were young, and has reunited with them last week in the tent has reached maturity and has started to pre-flower (it was a non-feminized photoperiodic seed) and has shown that she's a female!
day 39: i have noticed some brown flakes inside the reservoir, and i believe this might have been due to the sensizym (if not that, then definitely one of the AN additives mixing with the rest, or letting it stand with the air-bubbler for a few days), so i decided to mix a small batch of base-nutrients with the AN additives and manually water them 250ml each (total EC 0.7), and only put the base-nutrients (GHE/calmag) into the reservoir for the blumat-system. (This time with EC 0.8, the next change will be raised a bit).
day 41: It seems pretty clear to me that the Plagron nutrients are almost depleted. Given that it's my first grow with Plagron royalmix, I knew that once it'd end i would have to test a bit and see what EC i need to feed them with now. That'll just be trial and error and to slowly raise it up. Also i did some light defoliation.
@ijustdontgiveaf,
Much obliged bud'... keeping a decent variety on hand for my patients can be taxing. You can't go wrong with those Sensi beans. They'll always maintain solid genetics. Rock on & keep growing great. 🌿💪👌
@Huggomadd, thanks, i appreciate it!
You have a great selection of plants there in your current grow!
All the best for a great harvest to yourself as well!
@ijustdontgiveaf, el maldito coronavirus retrasa todo y en todo el mundo, chile lo mismo.
Con mejor luz crecerán más pero si o si tendrás una buena cosecha amigo! Buen trabajo.
@Highlaing, thanks! I need to get them a bit more light, so i hope my other tent will be delivered soon. This box is a bit too small for the 3 of them, while they're all at rather different heights.
Dude, These are beautiful.... Loving it.. man this site is full of amazing grows.. hope mine turns out ok.. It's a Notorious T.H.C. from Humboldt Seed Company. Come drop by and give me some tips!
@Nor_Cal_Kannabliss, thanks.. it's my first time using a pre-fertilized soilless medium (Plagron royalmix) and it's supposed to be pre-fertilized for 6 weeks, but i think i somehow missed the "cutover" time to feeding them manually, so they have some light signs of deficiencies.. also the irrigation method is new, so there are a few things that were a bit hit and miss.
nothing to worry about though, and for the next set of plants that i'll put into this setup, i know what to adjust ;)
