Summer's here and the grow is on. All the plants are doing well. We have had some beautiful days, temps in the eighties and lots of sun. That is suppose to change, tomorrow will be in the sixties with some rain. The greenhouse is under construction so I have been putting the plants in the garage at night. The Candy Kush has reached a height of 8 inches and the Northern Lights are at 7 inches. I gave all the auto flower plants a dose of nutrients and have since watered with plain water and will probably use plain water one more time before I use the nutrients again. The plants tell me when they are thirsty and I use water from my artesian well. I should have the greenhouse constructed and closed in in a week or so. This is my first try with auto flower plants so I am learning as I go. I added a photo of my Mexican Haze plant for interest. This is a feminized, photo period plant and was a free seed from Growers Choice. It is a beautiful plant and grows great. I topped it on 4-30, four weeks ago. The MH is one moon phase ahead of the auto flowers. I start my plants with the phases of the moon. Germinate just before the first quarter and the seeds usually sprout and are growing before the full moon. I seem to get good results when I do this. It's all fun.
I started four more seeds, two Northern lights autos and two Candy Kush autos. I now have the 12 plants this state allows me to grow legally. Nine of the ten seeds I got from Growers choice germinated just fine. One Candy Kush auto failed and one of the free seeds, a Mazar seed, failed. Not an issue, I have 8 gorgeous plants growing and I'm hoping for a good yield. 😎
Looking great man! They are beautiful. With the greenhouse and some autos you will love it more during cold months. There are some great strains out there that love the cold. For example Berryblue i grew can not be done in the summer. She will get loose buds with very little growth if you plant it in to much heat. Such an amazing thing!
