Tuesday, April 28th: Planted seeds today. Seeds got washed out into the bottom of the tank, but I caught them within a day and replanted them. Saturday, May 2nd: Visible sprouts appeared. No nutrients other than 0.5ml of Golden Tree in the water. Picture taken on Monday, May 4th.

Grow Questions

Triches still clear, most pistils have ambered. Picked up a digital microscope to check for the cloudy triches coming. Once I hit 50% cloudy, I am thinking of flushing for 4-5 days followed by a day of darkness . Any advice on feeding and flushing in these last couple of weeks?

It depends how you would like to finish your plant as everyone has there own opinions. I feed every watering with a 15% or more run off, some people plain water between feeds etc. I have used coco for years and have always flushed towards end. I reduce the nitrogen when im about 3 weeks into flower and then reduce again around 2 weeks later. I stick with this feed untill 1 week before i harvest when i give them a good flush before just giving them plain water for last 5/6 days. I dont ph my last weeks water, maybe im just lazy but i have done it in the past and not noticed any difference at all. I still turn my light off for the night before chop although its more from habit than anything else at this stage. Again though everyone has there own ways and i am sure you will find yours but hopefully there is something there to help.

Reckon I overfed this little beauty. So, I will flush it this week. I need to buy an EC meter, as the pH meter for the nutes and runoff isn't giving me a clear enough picture of what I am doing wrong. Another jump forward in my growing!

Pulled 5+3/8oz from one plant. Can see the limitations of the hlg100 for bloom as the buds were not as dense as grows using a stronger light, which should not surprise anyone, but I did only run it on 12/12. So, I have not explored the limits of this fantastic LED from HLG by any means. Love the strain. Easy to grow with a great range of smells from nestea dominant, berries dominant and lighter woody-chocolaty tones. Delightful! Will use a stronger light for next bloom phase.

Wow that is really something. I'm wondering if I'm making a mistake with my LST. My plants are so close to the dirt. I'm wondering if I should now let my plant grow however it wants to, removing the ties.

@skeeter, Oh, and in each grow, I have had one of the two plants that isn't as tall. I think for that plant I LSTd too early, so it was low riding where I didn't need it to be as I have the height in the 6" tent. So, still learning to read the plant in relation to the technique!

@skeeter, Yeah, I am still feeling this out. So, I planted a couple of sprouts closer to the edge of the grow bag and started to bend the plant around the 5th or 6th node, when the root system is more established. I used twist ties and connected them to paperclips that I anchored through the material of the grow bags. Then when I started to LST-bend them (around 45+ degrees), I removed the lowest leaves closest to the soil. All the lower shoots started to rise and I started to have coverage over the whole pot. It is helping me control the space better, as I typically have 2 plants in each 3x3 tent. That helps me avoid crowding and mold, etc. Trying a manifold with one of my current autos to see how intrusive it is on the ACDC Auto. I think the LST bending technique is a great way to develop more bud sites early on, though the canopy will still need more LST to keep it more level as they shoot up in early flower. All great fun and still learning about how much manipulation can help build a canopy that works well with the light and the nutes over time. Happy growing!

@Ch33cH, Cheers! I have learned a few things for the next grow: change up the nutes, use a stronger light for the bloom, and I am going to try Kyle Kushman's chiropractic technique after defoliating if it makes sense. Still taking the time to celebrate the win, though.💚

@@CloneKingz, Thanks CK. Pulled over 5oz from this little guy. So, I al pretty stoked even though I didn't get that many dense buds. Just got a bubble hash kit. So, 'bout to give this extraction a shot for the first time.
