They have all sprouted on the same day 17/5/2020, they are RQS Jack Auto RQS Blue Cheese Auto Sensi Amnesia Auto Sensi Blue Bullet Auto I used a very complicated method of germinating my seeds which consisted of putting them in their pot about 1 cm below the surface and watering them lightly (about a shot glass or two, 25 -50 ml). 4 days later they all sprouted. I am using 9 litre Air Pots with a soil mix, please see link below. https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-the-best-soil-for-growing-autoflowering-cannabis-n904 I got a large bucket and mixed 1 hand full of Vermiculite, 2 hand fulls of Perlite and then added some water so they were damp. I then added 3 hand fulls of multipurpose compost and 3 hand fulls of potting mix. I mixed it all up and poured it into my 9 litre air pot and then repeated until the air pot was almost full. I topped the pot off with potting mix about 2 inches worth. The idea is the seed will sprout surrounded by potting mix, which is high in nitrogen and designed for seedlings. As the roots grow down they will find the richer nutrient mix of the compost. Ideally I don't want to use any nutrients but we'll see how we go. I'm getting the water from a water butt in the garden so it's rain water and has a PH of 7. The soil mix seems to have a PH of 7 also. When I water, I half fill a 2 litre bottle and shake it vigorously. This should oxygenate the water, which the plants like and it also reduces the PH of the water to 6.5 which again the plants should like. Sadly my PH tester is not very accurate but that seems to be keeping the PH in the right zone. Time will tell. I gave them 250 ml of water each on day 5.

They look fine to me. Gave them 250 ml of water each on day 8. On day 9 their leaves were curling up at the edges slightly. I'm told this is caused by temperature being to high and/or humidity being too low. I have struggled to keep the temp down and in so doing I have increased the amount of ventilation. I have an extractor fan that kicks in for 15 min every 12 hours, but the temp got up to 34. So I set the extractor to kick in for another 15 min in the middle of the afternoon. That helped the temp but lowered the humidity it's at about 40%. So i have added a dish of water to the tent to try add a bit of humidity while keeping the temp reasonable. Day 12, still struggling with temperature and humidity. I gave them 250 ml of water each today with a few drops of lemon juice to reduce the PH. Day 13, I gave them another 250 ml of water each as the temperature has hit 35, 2 days straight. I'm trying to keep the humidity up and the temp down so I have put a frozen bottle of water in there with them. They have got to the end of the week and they look ok but I fear the high temperatures have stunted their growth slightly, Jack seems to be fairing slightly better than the others. Hopefully things will cool down next week I have raised the LED so that the distance between the tops of the plants and the lamp is 50 cm.

The temp is still a little high but it should drop down this week. Day 17 they all look fine, gave them a little bit of water today 200 ml. Day 19, they seem to be doing ok, I have given them another 200 ml of water however most of it seems to fall out the bottom of the pot. There is some yellowing of the lower leaves of a couple of them, which I think is normal. Very early signs of flowering too which is impressive. Day 20, they looked a little sad and droopy today so I have taken some of the yellowing leaves from the bottom of the plant, I did this to all of them and then gave them a drop of water 200 ml. I can see where the bud sites are going to be so I might do a bit of LST just to try pull the bud sites away from the main stem. Day 21, They were looking very thirsty this morning so I have given them some water and a drop a CalMag. I know I said no nutes but having read up I think that is the most likely problem and I have given them a tiny amount. 1ml in a litre. I have raised the light for the last time. It's 50 cm above the tops of the plants and 75 cm from the top of the pots. They all seem to be flowering.

I have some BioBizz nutrients which I will be using from now on to avoid issues rather than trying to boost yield. I wanted to do without them but using organic nutrients seems a reasonable compromise. Day 23, I have mixed a solution of 1ml of CalMag and 1ml of Big Grow into a litre of water and corrected the PH using lemon juice to 6.5. I then gave them about half the nutrient solution and then finished off with water. So they have had 250ml each, half nute solution and half water. I have started using cable ties to "LST" the Blue Bullet. I'll see how it goes. Day 25, I still have half the nutrient solution left, but I gave them just water today, 250 ml each. They were thirsty so I took pictures to show what that looks like, basically a little bit sad and droopy. Day 27, I have taken some of the yellow leaves off. I think they were damaged by the heat from last week and the plants try to claim back some of the useful stuff from the leaves which they have now done. I gave them all 100 ml of water. Day 28, I have given them another 100 ml of water, they seem ok, another week down, I still have half my nutrient solution, I'll use it if and when I see the need.

This week has been tough as the temperature has been high again. In the future I won't grow during the summer months. I have given them about 200 ml of water every other day. They are still loosing leaves in that they turn yellow and fall off, I assume this is due to the heat. I still have my nutrient mix from last week, I might give that to them this week. They are all generally fine. Blue bullet seems to be fairing slightly better, fewer of it's leaves have turned yellow and fallen off. Day 34, the leaf yellowing seems to be getting worse. I'm starting to think it might be caused by nutrient deficiency, so I have given Blue Cheese my nutrient mix and the others water. I expect Blue Cheese to improve over the next day or two, if it does I'll start giving the rest more nutrients. They have all really slowed in growth. I have given them the rest of my nutrient mix and I am now going to feed them more as I'm pretty sure all the yellowing leaves have been caused by nutrient deficiency, hopefully it won't effect yield too much and the plants recover over the next week or 2. .

I have made a new nutrient solution and will be feeding them every other watering, as I feel they have been starved and need to catch up. I hope the yellow leaves will be gone by the end of the week. It's been another hot week, it's hit 34 in my grow tent so I have splashed out on a small air con unit. The small air con unit was a complete failure, it simply increased humidity and did nothing for the temp so I sent that back, it hit 37 in there, two days in a row. I have also been feeding them a lot more. I found a BioBizz nutrient schedule which I will follow from now on. https://www.growbarato.net/blog/en/how-to-use-biobizz-feeding-chart/ I've been so scared of burning them with nutrients I have starved them. I have heard that burning them with BioBizz is almost impossible so I'm less scared. What I assume was nitrogen deficiency seems to have caused the plants to dump their less important leaves so they have kind of defoliated themselves.

I have started a new week with a new batch of nutrient solution. I made a litre and have given them 250 ml each, I will stick with the solution from now on unless I feel they need some water. I have been looking at my leaves and I still think there is a nitrogen deficiency so I have given them some Baby Bio. It's not organic but it should be the shot in the arm they need. They don't seem to be growing much but the bud sites are coming along nicely.

Week 8 and I have raised my light for the last time, I can't raise it any further, it is currently about 55 cm above my highest plant (Jack). I have increased the Bio Bizz nutrients as the schedule suggests. I have my jewellers loupe so here are my first attempts at using it. There are some brown patches on Amnesia which is a bit concerning, not sure what the problem is.

Another week down, they seem to be going ok however Amnesia seems to have a problem. I fed them every other day, 250 ml of my nutrient solution. I then gave them just water at the end of the week to test the PH of the run off water, it was 7 for all. Not quite ready to harvest, I will feed them for another week and then switch to water.

Grow Questions

Sensi Amnesia Haze Auto who's 9 weeks old. Leaves started to discolour about a week ago, it's spreading to the little bud leaves. The PH of the water and nutrients going in is 6.5 - 7.0 and the run off is 7.0. Using BioBizz. Any ideas? Should I cut her down now?

First of all: DO NOT CUT HER DOWN!!!! You will definitely regret your decision if you do so! ...soooo, I just had a rough look over your diary and feeding, as I am using BioBizz aswell and I experimented a bit with amounts in the past. Right now, you are definitely feeding way too much. It's hard to overfeed with bio nutes, but I managed to do this with BioBizz aswell. If your 4ml/l is correct, its too much. You shouldnt even use much BioGrow this late into flowering. Also, the tons of Bloom you are adding leads to a Potassium and Phosphorous toxicity. The runoff pH is to be ignored when using BioBizz (thats what I learned for myself). The input pH of 6.5 to 7.0 is perfectly fine, if you can, try to get it to 6.5 but BioBizz regulates itself so dont worry. By the way, the leaves that have the spots on them look like potassium deficiency, my noobie guess would be a nutrient lockout due to way too much phosphorous (and nitrogen). My recommendation would be to just water plain water pH'd to 6.5 until the plant finishes. It's probably gonna get a lot worse over the next couple of days if youve really been feeding that much (bio nutes need about 72h to show their first effects), but like I said, just add pHd water without nutes and let the plant and soil work things out. You'll see in maybe 1-2 weeks its gonna fatten up and more and more hairs are slowly gonna turn amber. More and more leaves are gonna turn yellow and fall off (thats intended). Just dont add any more nutrients to the amnesia, you would make it worse. And for the Blue Bullet and Blue Cheese, you definitely need to reduce the BioGrow, I personally would leave it out completely, and also reduce Bloom and TopMax. You can decide if you go another week of feeding with 1.5ml/l bloom and 1.5ml/l topmax or just plain water. I would do plain water for all of them. They all seem to have a serious nutrient overload. Hope I could help, if you wait it out youre still gonna have a wonderful harvest, just be patient and dont harvest early, youll have shit weed if you do ;) Cheers man

New week, new set of rules to live by. I have been over feeding my plants so i will be giving them just water from here on in. However to avoid this in future I will continue to use the BioBizz nutrient schedule but I will half the quantities and give pure water every other feed. Amnesia is not looking great. Blue Cheese has also suffered a bit. Jack and Blue Bullet seem to have fared slightly better. The finish line is in sight.

Blue Bullet is the last one standing. She's ready to go, has been on just water for a couple of weeks now. I'm waiting for the little white hairs to turn orange/brown. 4 or 5 days before I cut her down I'm going to try the ice cube trick. You put ice cubes in the pot and trick her into thinking winter is coming.
