The wonderful BlackBerry!!!! Another Fust Bud accompanying the "Californian Snow". I separate the diaries because I prefer to see how the plants develop differently.
Also for this plant I will use Biocanna in a different way to the producer's guidelines. Also these first weeks I will increase with Advanced Nutrients to make the roots explode. The first 36 hours were remarkable. On the 4th day the seedbed came out but still had the seed closed in on itself and this slowed it down a bit and it didn't start to focus the sun properly until the end of the week.
Everything is running smoothly and the plant seems to be growing very fast.
Also this week I continue with Biocanna in a dosage below the guidelines and seems to have a better effect. I have done two waterings, keeping an average of one every three days and dividing the nutrients from the roots. I will soon be topping up the pots to stabilise the plants better and to remove some of the initial seed detachment. I used a support for this plant, but this is the first time I have done this and I don't know what results I could get. The support measures about 60cm and I hope to reach this height and exceed it.
Everything is going well, the humidity and temperature values are stable and correct. Everything looks good.
In this week the Blackberry is growing very well, the side branches are developing and the leaves are getting bigger, moreover, it seems almost to have a red veil on the lower part. I am very curious to see what this beauty can offer.
As of this week I am no longer using rooting products and I am continuing to use only biocanna nutrients, increasing the ec values of the solution every week. I continue to water every three days and the plant responds very well to this. I have added new soil to the pots as I announced and it seems to be much better.
Another week of vegetative growth went really well. The plant continues to grow very fast.
Throughout the week I have been watering every three days with the nutritional plan that I am developing myself and it is working well but not like the Californian, I think it wants less nutrients.
By now the vegetative phase is coming to an end as we are starting to see the small pistils sprouting on the plant's internodes.
The smell is starting to get stronger and looks a lot like a basket of fruit mixed with cherries and apricots.
I think this baby will give me flavors that I have never tried before.
First week of impressive flowering for this Blackberry too. There was a visible extension of the branches from hour to hour and the color of the leaves started to go purple.
Nutritionally she is responding well too. There are many differences compared to the Cali and a few more spots on the leaves but I don't know what it is due to. Here too I water every two days and increase the EC values every week. But I don't think I'm increasing that much, because even with water and a few nutrients this plant performs very well.
I guess this is one of the best genetics I have cultivated in terms of taste. This is because it already gives off a very special smell, it reminds me a lot of freshly picked cherries and apricots. In fact, if all this translates into taste it will be one of the best herbs I have ever smoked. You can already see purple in the florets that are being created and my mind begins to imagine the full jar all purple.
Another busy week for this Blackberry, too. It grows very fast and seems to be a bit ahead of the Cali in flowering. In two weeks it has more than doubled in height and has almost surpassed the other planets. It reaches almost three feet as well.
The nutritional plan works well and the small problems she has don't seem to be very worrying. I water twice a week and I have raised the EC values again and added some bloom stimulator. But by now I think I have reached the maximum level and will not be adding any more nutrients. The smell is getting more and more intense and the colour of the buds is wonderful, they are dark purple. They start to develop very quickly and the pollen also starts to sprout all around.
I am more and more convinced that this will be the best taste and beauty herb I have ever grown so far. Wonderful FastBud.
Third week of flowering for this wonder and everything is turning purple. In these 7 days it has risen little but the buds, especially the apical one, are growing very well and produce a lot of pollen. The smell is intense and reminiscent of cherries and apricots, but also this week also floral scents related to roses.
Nutritionally everything is going well. I haven't raised the EC values much yet, but I think I will do so soon because the plant seems to tolerate it well.
The end is near for this BlackBerry too and the desire to try this wonder is growing day by day.
I'm starting by apologizing for the pictures from the past few weeks that maybe didn't look so good.
Eighth week that's not quite over. The floral development is not bad but on a nutritional level I had some problems with the EC calculator pens that got a little high. I've solved the problem and I hope everything returns to normal.
Compared to Cali, the nutrient deficiency was not so intense as this Black needs much less nutrients. The tops are swelling really well and they are taking a very nice color, they are all very intense purple. The smell is really very fruity and sweet, and it makes you pick up a crazy monkey.
All in all it's going very well and I'm really curious to taste it and hold a nice giant purple top in my hand. It won't be long now.
Ninth week for Black and it's really growing in an impressive way. It's the first purple plant I grow and I didn't think I could get buds like this. Great FastBud. The smell is getting better and better and it looks more and more like red fruits and flower bouquets.
Nutritionally it didn't lose much last week because of the pen, and by increasing the nutrient a little bit more this week it is exploding in a crazy way.
I am very excited and can't wait to pick up that beautiful purple apical top.
Week 10 and the end is coming up on the blackberry.
I was able to keep the nutritional values stable, in fact, there was no further deterioration on the leaves but on the contrary it started to develop the buds much better and to swell even more.
I also started with the root washing and I think the next week will be the last week.
It is really impressive to see these buds, I never imagined I could reach such an intense and particular colour. On top of that they are not even small and I imagine you can get a decent yield. The smell is intense and can be traced back, as I said, to red fruits like cherries and flowers. The pollen is quite a lot and the contrast with the purple makes it shine even more.
I'm really very excited and I can't wait to make a jar of purple with this wonder.
Eleven weeks and the BlackBerry is at the end. In the next week I think I will collect and the last things I will do will be giving frozen water the last few days to try to see if the pollen yield will increase further.
The tops are really big and wonderful to see. They are all covered with pollen which is even more in contrast to its purple color tending to black.
The smell is intense and increasingly fruity. It is very reminiscent of red fruits with that floral note that is never missing. In the last few days it has intensified even more than the last few weeks and it is very penetrating, just getting closer makes it stay on your clothes.
Everything makes me foreshadow a splendid high, intense with particular flavors that you don't often find in the tops. I am very excited and really amazed by the production and quality that FastBub autoflowering can achieve.
I start immediately apologizing for not respecting the week in updating the diary, but with work and looking after the plants I had no time.
Now it is the end and I have collected everything. The experiments with ice water went really well and the pollen yield has increased again. The plant is spectacular and I am very proud of my work and what I have achieved. The buds are very compact and smell really exaggerated.
This BlackBerry I cleaned it all out of the excess leaves apart from the little sugary ones and left it in whole branches and hung it on a clothesline that I am leaving in a dark room with the values checked at least for the next week so that I can start a new cycle. But the smell is just too much!!!!
Great FastBud and sure I'll be making more varieties soon.
The monkey has now burrowed on my shoulder and the desire to try this delight is more and more.
Two endless weeks waiting for everything to be ready but it was worth it.
Everything hung with controlled values around 55% humidity and a temperature of about 26/27 degrees.
