Switching to 12/12 tonight. Currently using 2 - Spider Farmer sf4000's; need more light for flower period; Should I use a 3rd Spider Farmer 4000 or a 1000W dimmable HPS for maximum THC, Taste and Yield? The SF4000 uses 453W 12 X 6 Flower Area
Hello.. Hope you are well.. Great choice of lighting btw.. Personally i wud put the hps in.. The sf(even the big boy) wont see much of difference i think in just 1 extra.. Altho they have great efficiency(sf's) ur plants will thrive of the different spectrum from hps!.. Assuming they can handle the heat and u have air exchanges i love to mix leds with hps.. Hope they turn out well around harvest for u.. Stay safe n gud luck.. 👍🍀
I screwed up Cal Mag application and gave all plants 4 ml per L, after that they got really too dark green and dull and got the darn claw and started to do the banana leaf curl,😮 Thanks to B4RNS video I now knew that I had managed to give them a nitrogen toxicity. I'm not sure if it was the EWC I put in the pro mix at planting and now has had time to breakdown or the 1/4 cup of kobashi I top dressed in the 6 and 10 Gallon pots, or the cal mag screw up. I drew 140 L of well water, heated to 19 degrees, PH'd to 6.0 and put 7-12 L thru each plant until I got about 20% run off. I didn't PH the runoff
Today May 26 I am on 15 day of flower.
Checking trichomes every couple of days; looking for 10% amber. Today July 28 is 6th day of Week 11 in Bloom. Just giving PH'd water once pots get light.
@marihoochi,ok got it . we have a product calgon too. Its against hard water^^you add it with your washing powder. Or use it into your dishwasher... thats why i was worried

@DBanned, Thank you! You said it perfectly! Such a bummer when something or someone takes your crop out, and so great to sit down, light up what you've grown and just take the edge off. I'm grateful things in general went well with the help of this community but still striving for nirvana😆
