So, I started this grow about 3 weeks ago. It has been nice and sunny all except the last 3 days. Starting to notice a bit of stretching, so today I ordered a 100W LED light to supplement with extra light on cloudy days. It is an auto, and I don't want to miss out on to much final product due to lack of light, so I think I made the right choice. Just gonna hang it in a corner in my bedroom to begin with. The room is well ventilated and I sleep there every night, so shouldn't be a problem. If anything me and the plant will benefit from each other with some good oxygen and co2 exchange. And then on sunny days, it's gonna sit outside where it'll get direct sunlight all day. I've also done some very light defoliation last week, just to remove some of the excess lower branches.
Looking forward to this one. Mainly growing it for my mom who has very bad arthritis and trouble sleeping from pain. But I will most def also be enjoying some of it myself. Never tried a strain with 0.5% THC and 15% CBD like this beautiful lady. Looking forward to the effect (or lack thereof).
The RootJuice, Premix and worm castings was added earlier, just posted it here so you guys can see that it was also used for the grow.
Okay so now I have constructed a small grow space from some shelves i didn't use and just assembled it in a corner of my bedroom. It's roughly 52cm x 52cm (21" x 21") give or take. Added a small fan on the inside for ventilation. That should work fine...
The light is very bright, full spectrum and only pulling 100w. Think that'll be perfect for the one plant. AND the first little flowers are starting to form, plus I noticed signs of some deficiencies (Looks like it needs some more P/K, so I will increase the dose of bloom nutrients for the next watering.
Okay so another week went and all is good. When it's sunny she's outside and otherwise inside under the lamp (which I am still very pleased with btw). Also inside at night as I try to push her flowering forward by only giving her around 12 hours of light a day. She is woken up by the sunrise and then i turn on the lamp at about 7am. Turn it off at around 7pm and let the sunset put her to sleep. And I'm home all day anyway, so it's no problem to gently move her back and forth from inside to outside when ever the sky is clear - I want her to get all the light she can.
I am also really impressed by the Biobizz nutrients. She is really taking them well. And oh boy doed the alg-a-mic work like a charm. The pictures doesn't give it 100% credit but I'll tell you those leaves are very green, so healthy looking I newer saw nothing like it before. And it seems to be working fine with just following the nutrient schedule that came along tho I'm holding a little back on the fish mix as the grow stage is now done and she will not be growing much more i think, just produce nice and sticky flowers.
My other two grows are on a hold for now, because nothing new i happening there, so next couple of weeks it'll just be this on I'm posting in here. Get back to you with the others later. But they are also going well.
See you next week :-)
Okay so this update is from week before. Been to busy to upload. But it's been very sunny. So she's been outside as much as possible, but in the mornings and evenings i pout her under the lamp to maximize light exposure and yield. No more fish mix from now on as she has stopped growing and only producing buds now. Very nice smell and she is getting very sticky. I never smelled a strain with so fresh and summery citrus notes but people told med high cbd strains tended to do that. Can hardly wait to taste her when grow is over.
Not much new to add. She is in the prime of her life, and having the time of her life. That smell tho. Wow!!!
The thing I am doing with letting her be both outside and inside seems to be working really great still. I try to be gentle when moving her, and of course I'm letting her know she will be alright.
Only thing I could need was a tent with carbon filter to take the smell. But so far no smell has escaped my apartment and I don't think it will be a problem from just one small auto plant. Even tho she is really starting to smell quite alot. My bet is that the total flowering time will be 2-3 weeks more from now. Brown hairs started to appear, but let's see what will happen. I won't harvest her before she is ready, but to my taste a couple of days to early is always better than a couple of days to late when it comes to the taste. I know the yield will go up the last days, but I like the smoke more if it's not been pushed to far.
How do you feel about that subject?
I am about two weeks behind you, mine just began to preflower
reading your comments about the smell that im expecting in like few days is quite worrying and funny at the same time xD
yours is looking great, tbh better than mine. Might upload my diary when exams are over
