Day 8 (21.05) Update: So this week started off a lot better. The temps are more consistent now after I automated the heater. I am also getting into a watering routine, although currently the watering requirements are of course very low.
This little guy is growing nicely with days 6-8 showing the second set of real leaves starting to grow, although still very small. I lowered the lights this week initially down to 70cm from the canopy and then to 60cm as the Bubbleberry that I am growing with this Bubba Kush was stretching a bit much for my liking.
I am still just watering with un-PHd bottled water. But I think I will correct the PH from now onwards so that I do not affect the medium. As I am using Freedom Farm Soils, the recommended PH is 5.5-6.0. This is as the medium is buffered against lowered PH but not against PH rising. Especially from using un-PHd tap water. Which here by me is over 7.0 of course. The bottled water I am using is at 7.0 so even that is a problem, but I did not want to mess with the seedling in the first week or so.
So I watered yesterday (day 7) and will from the next watering today or tomorrow start adjusting the PH to between 5.5 and 6.0. Probably leaning more towards the 6.0 mark.
Once we hit the 2 week mark we should be in veg, but I will see what the plant is looking like. I will then be starting the nutes feed as well using BioBiozz Grow to start.
Day 12 (25.05) - Just some pics to update. I also started watering with PHd water now. I am using bottled water although I have found a source of RO water now that is relatively cheap. First water I did I dropped down to 5.8 from 6.8. 1ml of lemon juice in 1l of water did that perfectly. Growth is looking good and the 3rd node is about to start.
If it's just one of your plants get it out of your room before it turns everything to seed. If its manageable, pull nanners off. Too many then chop that plant and get what you can from her. Cheers friend
