This is actually 2nd week of veg, from moving clones from my mother/clone room.
You'll notice my tds and ec, are incredibly lower, than you normally see.
I used to suffer from, what looked like mag deficiency, followed by phosphorus deficiency, upon adding extra cal mag.
This turns out, was excess calcium, and sodium in my tap water. Ppm average at 250, but i tested at 445 one day. Adding phosphoric acid, to ph down, was creating calcium phosphate in my pots. Not very soluble.
I keep the nute levels low now, to keep the ph in range, with my ro water, which is ph 7.0. My tap water is 7.4.
I foliar feed acti vera, every 3 days, at 1.5ml per 1.5lt.
Im using bio bizz light mix. I have bio bizz cal mag, and will add some soon.
Switched to 12hrs. Would of done some more veg, but mrs said we need it.
Running a tiny bit cooler due to weather.
All nutes kept the same, for this week, and probably the next too. Then i will start to introduce some bloom nutes.
Outside temperatures, have been all over the place this week. Resulting in higher day, and lower night temps. Slight signs of stress on leaf stems.
Slight increase in fish mix, and ive started to introduce some bloom, from today.
Also adding, bio bizz cal/mag, @0.1ml/gal, but its not listed with the other bio bizz products.
Next week, i will stop using the alg a mic.
Will slowly increase ec, each week.
Hps @ 400w.
Bud formation is coming along nicely.
Temps leaning towards high side, and might be higher for next few days.
Very nice weather at the moment, and my hps @600w. Room will run, 2.5c above ambient temperature.
Still showing signs of stress on leaf stems. Not convinced its temperature. So will test soil ph today. I suspect its running a little low.
Will probably add a couple of pinches of palm ash, to buffer it.
Today will be ro water only @ph 7.0. For soil test.
Temps rose to 29c a few days ago. In response, i took both carbon filters off, and raised the light 10cm.
Soil ph was slipping, at 6.0. I just watered plain r/o water, for 2 days, then reintroduced feed, without fishmix.
All new growth, free from red leaf stems.
Last week, i had a couple of yellow leaf tips, which tells me, i was on the limit of nutes the plants needed. Cut back bloom by 0.25ml/gal.
The new nute mix, comes out at 6.7. Plants look happier. No slow down of growth at all. I felt no need to flush, or add buffers.
My feed might seem weak, but they get that everyday.
Weather finely cooled down. Temps back where i want them.
Bud progression, is looking nice, despite some stress. Trichome coverage, is getting crazy. Smells amazing.
The bio bizz cal/mag must be working. Not a yellow leaf in sight. Only giving 0.1ml/gal, once a week.
Ok for half way through. But the hot weather, really makes the plants suck up nitrogen from the soil. I don't think they will need anymore, and havent had, for over a week.
On that note, i will probably feed for 2 more weeks. Then ro water, right to harvest.
I cut out feed, a day ago.
Leafs are still very green, and i believe there are sufficient nutes within the soil, and then the fan leaf stores, to ride until harvest.
Just r/o water, ph'd to 6.7. Thats the only time I've used ph down, the whole way through.
I think they will be ready in 2 more weeks. But i don't mind leaving them a tiny bit longer, if needed.
I will probably put the 250w mh bulb back in, for the last week. Which as well as increasing resin content, it will also improve the finishing photos. 🙂
Plants are maturing very fast.
These clones, are at least a week faster, than the mother seed.
What branches are not tied up, are now struggling to stay upright.
Buds aren't particularly large, but are very dense.
Trichome coverage is good, and the smell is pretty fruity, and skunky.
Weather has been extremely warm, the past few days. Ambient temps 30+,which spurred me to put the hallide bulb back in, a little earlier than planned.
Plants watered with ph7.0 reverse osmosis. No nutrients.
I will give a good flush, one day this week.
Running costs for this grow, equate to around the price of 1oz of weed. Thats for soil, nutes, and electricity. I should see a return, of at least 2oz per clone. Not the highest of yields, but it saves me and the mrs, a small fortune, and it will be better than whats about to buy 🤣
Happy with the results. Next run of this pheno will get longer.
7 weeks, gives you a very nice day smoke.
Most of the phenos, had hints of orange bud, but this one is reminiscent of k2, with a creeping, long lasting high. Flavours were very influenced, by all the afghani genetics, in the parents.
