Organic Mimosa EVO Barney’s Summer Nugs

Super excited to test this strain out - my very first grow with Barney’s Farm. I am growing together with the legendary and original High CBD Avidekel strain developed in Israel and plan to make some interesting crosses (follow my other Diary)

She was Topped on Day 19, leaving 4 node locations. Branching is pretty weak prior to topping - but I expect that is going to change pretty quickly here 😃

Well, she mostly likes it indoors, but once in awhile I put her out in the sun. well, today it was a bad idea - the Poor little girl got absolutely NAILED by a hailstorm.... 😬 One of those intense hailstorms we often get here in Canada you just instinctively avoid walking out into... Soooo I waited it out until going outside. Luckily no shoots damaged, just a few holes in the leaves 😅. On one hand, it’s kind of nice to put them outdoors once in awhile - all the wind, sun occasional extreme weather and UV light is good for them... On the other hand, this was waaaaay too extreme. next time, I’m going to pay closer attention to the forecast!

This pheno initially really pushes back at LST, but now she is becoming much more cooperative. It worked out to have 6 main stems, the top main 2 stems are being trained horizontally and my plan is to let the lower stems grow up to the same level as the 2 top branches before starting LST on them.

It seemed like the LST was cramping her style a bit, so I Decided to let her grow straight up for awhile - will attempt LST again next week.

Ok - what an amazing plant! Next week I’m switching to indoor - 12 hr flowering cycle. She’s so thick, lots of great bud sites and with LST in full play she can really spread her wings. I’ll probably repot to 30L next week to give her max potential

Oooooh Boy. I can’t wait for this - just drooling over the potential.... Shes 3 feet across by roughly 30 inches - almost 9 square feet at the start of flowering. I’ll continue some mild LST of the side branches this week, and will repot one last time to 30 litres.

Very excited to see that the Transition is happening... Also - the Smell is increasing quite a bit, my wife is constantly reminding me that our backyard has quite an aroma ;)

Smells amazing, looks amazing. Can’t wait..... I started transition indoors, and had the grow shed all ready BUT every day has been so sunny, hot and perfect temps for growing outside, sooooo - She’s outside every day, Indoors at night. I am taking my family Camping on Monday, and our neighbours are gracious enough to take care of our small crop during the heat wave this week. I gave them 3 days at 10 hours light / 14 dark, and now for our camping trip they will be full time outside - with a photoperiod of about 14 light / 10 dark. In the past, I have pushed flowering to 13.5 hours sun without and issues whatsoever on flowering once the plants have been fully transitioned - So - Im crossing my fingers and hope that 14 won’t be too much for a few days.

Terps are coming alive as she is taking on a delicious fruity smell. Still going very light on defoliation as I feel like the big fan leaves are still doing their job to boost photosynthesis and feed the buds. She is starting to turn purple already!!! I’m going to allow night temps to continue to drop below 10 degrees C at night, hoping for an amazing color show at harvest!

about 1/2 way through flowering now - Really enjoying this grow :) Purple hues are getting stronger each day. She is trailing slightly behind Peyote Cookies in Girth - which to me appears as though she may need some extra time to finish compared to PC and probably the rest of my summer crop as well - but I’m sure that it’ll be worth the extra wait....

So far so good - starting to move indoors at night as the overnight lows are dipping to 5 degrees C- just a bit too cold!! Daytime temps still between 20-25 so still good for life outdoors during the day 💚💚
