Diary Lemon Potion CBD 9/5/20 Welcome to my diary! My goal is to grow my first plant ever in the most stealthy way possible. Also, I'm trying to keep it simple and (as far as I can) organic. I will grow outdoor. Any advice is welcomed! :) please feel free to comment ^-^ Enjoy my journey! Together with Lemon Potion CBD auto I'm growing her friend Auto Amnesia, which has her own diary on my page. Today I put my seed in wet paper towels. I closed it in a small plastic box which previously contained raspberries and put it in my closet. The temperature here is about 26 C during the day and about 14 C during the night and humidity is naturally very high (~55% in sunny days, ~80% when it rains). 11/5/20 The seed didn't crack, but sadly the paper towel started to mold a bit today so I had to change it. I don't know why this happened, I've never heard of anything similar and damp paper towel was the most recommended method on GrowWeedEasy. Any advice? Anyway, it doesn't seem to have affected the seed so let's hope everything's fine. This evening the temperature dropped a bit so I put a homemade heating source near to my seed. It's a sock full of rice, heated in the microwave. 12/5/20 She sprouted! Can't be happy enough! I don't know if it was just her time or if the heated sock helped. Anyway, I put her in a jiffy pellet. Then I poked holes in the bottom of a plastic cup, filled it with soil and put the jiffy at the centre. The cup is on my window. 14/5/20 She's out! She still has her shell on, like a tiny helmet. I read that if the shell doesn't fall on its own in few days time it's necessary taking it off very gently with some tweezers. 15/5/20 She naturally lost her shell but the thin membrane below was still wrapping her cotyledons so I gently cut it and freed her. Today she sunbathed for few hours inside of her little greenhouse (which I made with a plastic bottle). I think she enjoyed the sunbathe because she stretched her cotyledons out and rise a bit.

17/5/20 Today there was a bright sun so she sunbathed a bit. She's slowly growing her first pair of leaves. In comparison to her friend Auto Amnesia she's much slower but I don't really know if it's the genetic or what. Nevertheless, she seems healthy so it's ok. According to her description, she should be ready to harvest around the 15th of July. 19/5/20 Yesterday she sunbathed in direct light for about 12 hours. Unfortunately, the weather today is awful :( it's cloudy and rainy. It's pretty warm tho (about 22°C) so she's out. Her leaves are growing but they are very slim if compared to the wider ones of her friend Auto Amnesia. Following some kind stranger's advice, I will re pot her tomorrow in soil + perlite. I'm still not sure about the nutrients, the infos online are way too much and a bit overwhelming... I have a large quantity of good mature cow manure but depending on who you ask, the answer is totally positive or totally negative :( 20/5/20 Today I repotted her in 1/2 soil 1/2 worm casting. Unfortunately, it seems absolutely impossible to find perlite around here. Today I went to the local gardening store (which is pretty big) and the guy looked at me like a was a mad granny like wtf man that's your area how can you not know what's perlite? They told me "buy tomato soil" so I read the composition and it was about 50% clay and 0% perlite or vermiculite 😅 Today I also noticed that her leaves are velvety as a peach and I think that's cute. Tonight will be her first night out since it's about 18°C. Moreover, she's now in a 9.7 liters pot and I really can't keep her in my living room anymore. Today's third discovery was that here you can't find a 10 or 11 liters pot (and again they looked at me in a weird way). They had 9.7 or 15 and the cost varied A LOT between them so I chose the 9.7. 22/5/20 She's pretty still... I don't know if that's her normal pace but she seems very slow. I was thinking about germinating another seed of the same strain since I don't think this plant will produce buds :( I think I'm going to wait another week and then I'll decide.

25/5/20 Not gonna lie, she's AWFUL 😂 but let's take this as an experience and an experiment. I read some diaries here on GrowDiaries about this strain and I'm not the first grower having problems with her. Many people had mutant leaves or very slow growth and they were not newbies like me. Nonetheless, I surely should have read some reviews before buying her. I will be happy even with a single gram since it is my first time ever so it's ok. She was very slow from the beginning so I suppose she's suffering from both her genetics and my inexperienced cures. 26/5/20 Today I noticed that she has some new "normal-looking" leaves coming out. The older ones are even more twisted than yesterday. 28/5/20 Ok just kidding she surely is some kind of mutant plant. Her new leaves look healthy but they are sooo weird. Actually, I couldn't even understand how many and how shaped they were... Let's call her Frankie Frankenstein! Anyway, a friend of mine gave me some mysterious seedlings. He found the seeds in a bud he bought (yes, very low quality product, but hey that's what you have to smoke where weed is illegal). So for the moment I dropped the idea of germinating the second CBD seed. 29/5/20 She's showing some more leaves but she's staying very short. I mean, she now has some pairs of leaves but there's no space between them. Anyway, she's growing and seems healthy overall. 30/5/20 Still a dwarf, but the new leaves seem to be doing ok. Moreover, she grew faster this week. Maybe she will be fine, let's see...

1/6/20 So I couldn't check on her and today I found she has become a whole different plant! I mean look at those leaves! She has REAL weed leaves now wow I'm so impressed 😍. Just in about 48 hours she grew a whole new pair of very good looking leaves. I'm so happy I didn't kill her! 2/6/20 This week the weather won't be good, it will rain almost every day until Saturday. Today I made a little umbrella for the plants with a transparent cloth and some sticks. It came out pretty good. 3/6/20 Looking at old photos of Auto Amnesia I realized that Lemon Potion CBD is about a week late. But she's growing, so nothing to report. 4/6/20 Nothing to report, the weather is absolutely awful. According to the weather forecast it will rain until next Saturday (the 13th). I hope she will manage to get enough light anyway. You will find a photo of today's weather so that you can suffer with me. 6/6/20 Unfortunately, the shelter collapsed, thank god I didn't study architecture 😂 since they need shelter, next week I'm going to buy a couple of transparent umbrellas. They should do the job. Anyway, I'm shocked by the growth she had in the last 7 days. She started as a scrunchy monster and became a good looking healthy plant. Yes, she's late and probably won't produce much, but it's a success for her to be alive ahahah.

10/6/20 Yesterday I built the umbrella greenhouse 2.0. Ok, actually, my bf built it cause I have already proven not to be a decent engineer 😂 I'm pretty satisfied! 11/6/20 The umbrella resisted the storm! And lil Lemon Potion is growing at full speed now! It's about time, isn't it? Considering that now she's thriving, today I gently bent her. This way her soon-to-be lower branches will get more light. 13/6/20 Today I bent her a bit more, she's doing fine. Can't wait to see her buds!

15/6/20 Yay! She's flowering! She's still pretty small but looks strong! She doesn't have any smell. As soon as it's ready I will water her with some banana tea. It has been brewing for 3 days now. 16/6/20 Today I adjusted the LST a bit. Her buds are way leafier than those of her neighbor Auto Amnesia but they're showing nice white hairs all over. Even if she's growing at full speed now, she's still pretty small and I don't know if this is normal size for this strain or if her first weeks marked her. It has been almost a week since I watered her because it rains almost every night so the soil is constantly moist. From about 6.30 AM to 9.30 PM it's sunny and warm. 17/6/20 Today I adjusted her LST and cut some of the oldest and most ruined leaves off. When I started growing I was doing it just to be independent, but now I crave those few minutes I spend with the plants because I find caring for them oddly therapeutic. I know, it's kinda weird and romantic, but it's true. Her page on seedsman catalogue says that she should be smelly, but actually she doesn't really smell at all (for now). Moreover, we are now in day 40, it means that in theory she has 30 more days to go until harvest. 18/6/20 Today I watered her with some banana tea. O also counted her buds and they're 9, but she's still pretty small and growing new branches so I expect the number to rise a bit more. 20/6/20 Today we had a visitor 👽 it was a Hyphantria, or webworms. Here (unfortunately) they're pretty common and almost all of my oaks have some of those monsters on their branches. In fact, it surely fell down the oak near to my pots. It managed to eat a small part of a leaf, but it's not a problem anymore... I was thinking about sprinkling some coffee grounds as bland pesticide.

22/6/20 Yesterday I couldn't check and today she's wayyy bigger! She's not that stretchy, but her buds are fattening and new little buds are popping out. She doesn't smell at all. I took away the umbrella because it should be sunny for the upcoming weeks. 24/6/20 The bugs are back but now, thanks to the adorable Rap_a_cap I know what they are! He wrote me that they are almost adult citrus flatid planthoppers (metcalfa pruinosa). They can be treated using a solution of water and Marseille soap (50 gr. per 100 cc.) additioned with 900 cc. of denaturated alcohol. This evening I'll treat her, now the sun is way too hot to spray things on her. I can't be grateful enough to Rap_a_cap ❤️ 25/6/20 Today there are very few bugs left. I couldn't spray the solution again because it was too hot. Tomorrow I'll spray it again. She's finally producing some fatty buds😍. 26/6/20 Wow her buds actually smell like lemon! I know it's kinda obvious but I didn't expect it to actually smell like a real lemon😂 I thought it was as with wine's tastes, which I really can't get. Today I bought a 60X jeweler lent, can't wait to see my buds thought it. 27/6/20 Today I sprayed her again with water+alcool+soap. Her buds are just amazing! They are so thick! And they literally fattened in just 2 days! Looking at the last photo of last week she seems a totally different plant, amazing! Today I started brewing cow manure tea. According to the guide I'm following it should be ready to use in 3-4 days.

29/6/20 Oh she smells soo good! Now it's a bit stronger, but gentle, smell. It smells like that soap you use to wash the dishes. It's very refreshing! 1/7/20 She's becoming so frosty! Her sugar leaves are all covered in sweet lemony drops. She smells amazing! She's very small, if compared to the photos I saw online, but she's full of thick buds. Today the manure tea is ready, but she's not dried yet so I'm going to wait until tomorrow. These days I'm not even LST her anymore, her buds are so dense I wouldn't know where to put the strings and anyway her buds are all well exposed. Sometimes I adjust some minor branches and defoliate a bit, if needed. A little off topic: I'm pretty stressed out these days and just sitting near my plants helps me a lot. They just give me so much satisfaction, I feel so accomplished. I love training them and experimenting with teas and other organic homemade stuff, but I also appreciate observing them. They give me so much peace. 3/7/20 Yesterday I watered her with some diluted manure tea, let's see if it helps fattening up those buds 😍 she's very thick if compared to her sister Auto Amnesia, her buds are super close one another and super packed with sugar leaves. They're also pretty dense. Uh, and 2 just weeks to go! I literally can't wait for my jeweler lens! I'm afraid I won't receive it in time, it should arrive the 15th of July... Ps, that white things she has on her leaves is the residue of the bugs spray

5/7/20 She's so thick 😍 her development just amazes me. So proud. I can't tell whether the tea has had a good effect or what because it's my first grow and I don't have any reference regarding outdoor organic buds... All I know is that the buds smell heavenly, are sticky as hell and are fattening. In conclusion, if the tea hasn't done good, it hasn't done bad either. I was thinking about getting flora grow nutrients but here in Italy there's no way to but them. Literally no way. I'm so angry :( please if you know where I could purchase it (or has a valid organic alternative) tell me :) 6/7/20 The lens is here! Lol it's so difficult to attach the lens to my phone camera! I probably should have bought one made for the phone 😂 moreover, I didn't want to get too close to the buds because I was afraid to ruin them. Anyway, it's so good to be able to see those little trichomes! They're shiny! I'll try and take better photos, I swear 😂 Today I also found a very big cardboard box that I'm going to use as drier :) 7/7/20 Today I noticed some burnt/dried leaves. They're very few actually. Maybe it's normal, I don't know... I asked and I can't wait for the answer. Anyway, since she has literally only 10 days to go, I don't think I can do anything to make things better (if it's nutrient burn of insufficiency). I spent some minutes looking at her diary and my god she evolved so much and so quickly in the last 2 weeks😍 and in 10 days I'll harvest my first homemade weed! 8/7/20 Ok a kind grower told me it's a bit of heat stress. It's very very hot here. I'll leave her mind her own business and just wait :) 9/7/20 She has a little friend named Spidey. It's a tiny spider who made it's cobweb near to her pot. I'm happy with it because it's harmless and can eat a lot of bugs! Omg -9 days!!! I'd better start preparing the drier :) Today I gave her a pretty hardcore haircut. Can't wait! 10/7/20 It's 11.30 pm and I've just made a blitz to see the girls. I hadn't programmed to visit them today but a massive storm is coming and I don't want to waste all for the hard work I made for some wind and rain. I didn't have the time to carefully check them but overall I don't notice anything suspicious. They look fine. Oh I'd pay for a safe place to grow them! Finding the moment to go and check them is always an adventure and I feel like playing chess sometimes😂 I wish I could sit in my garden and calmly observe them without having to run every time. Watering is also so difficult! I purchased a 5 liters tank but I can fill it in very rare occasions so most days I have to go around with my gym bottle ahaha 11/7/20 Ok so next week should be her last one, but I was thinking about leaving her live a week more since she has just started swelling properly. I'll decide next Saturday.

12/7/20 Yes I will definitely let her live some more weeks, at least one. I looked at some diaries and this strain is always harvested around 12-13 weeks. I'll give her another shot of very diluted manure tea since she seems to have enjoyed it the last time. Just to give her enough nutrients to finish. 15/7/20 Couldn't check her and she's so fat now! Her buds are really swelling up now and forming little fatty nugs. Her leaves are still slowly drying cause I didn't have the time to brew the manure tea. If I can, I'll do it tomorrow. 17/7/20 Every day she's fatter and fatter. During this week she literally exploded! Being my first time I wasn't prepared for this massive growth, especially since I'm going all organic and all homemade. Like wow, really. I don't know how much she'll produce but honestly who cares. I learned so much from this plant and I'm probably going to miss her. Anyway, I still have 1 seed of this strain so maybe next year... Tomorrow should be her last day but she's going to live some weeks more for sure.

19/7/20 Her buds are swelling and they smell heavenly. They are also sticky as hell 😂😍 I gave her manure tea but I think this week will be her last meal. 24/7/20 Today we had a massive hurricane that lasted all day long. The ladies are safe under their umbrella shelter.

How much direct sunlight are your plants getting? My area is 14 hours a day with my plant getting 8 hours of direct which seems decent so far.
