Harvested on day 76 of flower and hung to dry in the grow tent at ~55 RH. The plant foliage was very dense so I wound up with quite a bit of larf. I had to cut most of the branches from the main stem in a staggered pattern to thin them out and had to re-purpose my trellis frame for drying. At day 7 the smaller branches were ready for curing, which was much sooner than I anticipated so was up until 3AM processing half of the entire plant, with the remainder being ready at the 10 day mark.
Top colas: 105g
Reg buds: 76g
TOTAL: 181g
Larf, Trim and shake: 260g
Plan on making hash from this and pressing it into rosin.
So far I've mostly only tried the hash and kief on top of a little of the dry bud and it tastes like what I could only describe as bananas. This is the first time I've seen kief melt and bubble on my bowl so A+ on that. The buds still need to cure but this stuff works like a charm, much better than what I've harvest in my first two grows for sure. Now I'm not the ideal person to judge the taste and quality of cannabis, but the effect is definitely there which is all I care about.
If I was growing this again I would have tried to remove more of the larfy buds hidden in the middle of the canopy. I should have removed more cola sites to make it easier to access the lower branches for defoliation. The fewer colas wouldn't have mattered with the ending harvest weight as the plant could have dedicated more energy to building bigger buds instead of 200 or so grams of larf. For the trellis net, stick to having 1 cola per square, remove any branch you even think could be too thin, and remove any bud sites below the third row on the stem. They will keep growing back so you'll have to keep on top of it throughout the flower cycle. With the thickness of the canopy I'm lucky I wind up with mold. I got a few clones before switching to flower and have one growing in my back yard at 5 ft tall now. I'll practice what I've learned and hope to end with a better ratio of buds to larf.
I totally would like growing this strain again. I had a 3 pack of seeds but only 1 made it through, so I would like to get quite a few next time and pheno hunt for the best quality of the bunch.
Will update again after curing.
