Hey Everyone,
I'm gonna try my luck with the GHSC contest.
I'm gonna grow 2 Banana Krumble plants on a 0,6m*0,6m*1,4m custom closet with mylar all around and a 250w HPS.
Germination was done with the papel towel method and worked without a hitch.
Right now they are in two small litre pots but I will be using two 11L homemade fabric pots.
I've given them a small dose of Enhancer and I will start giving them nutrients after 2 weeks.
The soil is a peat/coco germination substrate with low nutrient content and I will be adding 10% perlite to the mix.
I'm still unsure about the training techniques I'm gonna try, I'm curious to try mainlining, open to suggestions.
Hey everyone,
Just started week 2.
Everything seems to be fine.
They seemed a bit pale the last couple days so I gave them some foliar Enhancer, about half a gram, on day 7 and the same amount of biogrow on each of them just on top of the soil and they seems a lot better after a day.
Day 8 - They are both 4,5 - 5cm tall.
Day 14- They seem ready for transplant, gonna do it soon.
Hey Guys!
Day 15 - After noticing they were getting too big and showing some nutrient deficiency I transplanted them to their final homemade 11l fabric pots.
The final mix was made with 9 litre low nutrient germination soil + 1 litre compo sana universal + 1 litre of perlite.
I watered them with a 1 gram/ litre of enhancer.
Day 21 - They are growing quite nicely just as GHSC said, very bushy but they are starting to strecht a little and a lot of branches are coming up, they are gonna grow really nice I think.
Day 26 - I decided to defoliate the main fan leaves so that the side shoots can get more light and grow bigger, I'm going for a natural look but with some canopy management so that the side shoots can grow some nice buds as well.
I'm probably gonna have to switch to flowering soon considering my small space, what do you guys think? every advice welcome ;)
Another great week.
I'm quite happy with them.
Gave them some enhancer 1gr/litre on day 30.
I accidentally snapped two branches, one of them I managed to salvage, on Banana 1.
I definitely see some differences between them which I attribute to pheno, considering I keep conditions equal to them.
Banana 1 was bigger at the beginning but now is growing more slowly and with less flexible and shorter branches, banana 2 is taller and more stretchy.
Banana 2 is beginning to be my favorite, it is growing exactly in the shape I want with little effort.
Day 41 - Hey guys, sorry for the bad pics but I'm away at hospital and had to ask a friend to take them.
Gonna update with better pics and info on week 7.
I'm probably gonna flip them to flower this weekend and give them another good defoliation, having done one on day 35. They really liked i and are filling the space nicely.
Day 42 - Watered with enhancer
Day 43 - So the ladies got a nice defoliation and I'm gonna flip them to flower and apply biobloom nutes according to GHSC schedule with some extra soil on top.
Another good week, flowers starting to show, looking good and bushy, it's gonna be a good harvest I think!
Banana 2 - 50 cm
Banana 1 - 47 cm
This week is just water, next week they take another dose of enhancer as in the GHSC feeding schedule.
Hey Guys,
Another good week, flowering going nicely, banana 2 is a little ahead.
Gave them another defoliation, they seem to enjoy it quite a lot.
Really pleased with them, beautiful growth.
Banana 2 is at 58cm and Banana 1 is at 53cm.
They are starting to smell, definitely picking up some green banana aroma.
Gonna water with enhancer tonight.
Hey guys,
Sorry for the delay, busy week.
The ladies are looking really good, flowering really going strong, starting to smell really nice.
Temps have been a bit high this week but they are just holding on really great, very happy,
Banana 2 is a bit yellow, maybe some problem with the nutrient uptake, gonna keep monitoring and see.
Overall I'm really happy witth them.
Gonna defoliate a little more on the weekend, didn't defoliate this week.
This week was just phed 6,5 water and no enhancer.
Another week, not much to report, flowering beautifully and smelling like heaven. Did some minor defoliation.
Day 75 - did some major defoliation, they are really really sticky and smelling super nice. Watered with enhancer.
Another good week, defoliated them quite heavily, pretty happy with the result, very even buds all over. Smelling like heaven.
I'm calculating that there are about 25 days left.
Hey Guys,
Sorry for missing a week, health issues didn't give me time to post.
The ladies are looking really nice and getting fatter every day.
Seems like christmas with all that white snow hahaha
Can't wait to see the end result and taste those beautiful buds.
It was a really fun and easy grow. I was expecting more dry weight but nevertheless it was a nice harvest and the buds are really resinous and with a delicious scent. Great for extractions. Didn't do much trimming because all the small leaves are filled with sticky trichomes.
