- Its coming along really well - its growing at a much faster rate now. - just did an EC test, and have realised my level is around 200. Will adjust my feed to around 400. Day 13 - 3rd set of leaves coming through. - all looks good. - have bought some Canna A + B for the next phase of growth.

Still coming along nicely, but have noticed a light-ish colour in the new leaves. Not sure what this is? Will look to start using Canna A+B in the next day or , and repot into its final 5 gallon fabric pot. #------------------------------------------------ Thanks for the answers to the questions, and in the last couple of days I have made changes, and it has the planet looking good. 1/ I potted up to a 5 gal fabric pot. There were excellent roots when I pulled it out, and even had a couple just poking out of a hole at the bottom. All of the roots where a good white color. - The no issues with transplant. - I buffered the coco twice, and added 30% perlite to the mix. 2/ as suggested below by Nobody01, have just been using pH (6.1) water before during and after the re potting, and the lighter green has been slowly disappearing. Excellent. 3/ Have given its first low dose (900 EC) of Canna A + B for the first time today (18th day) and will look to bring the EC up to 1200-1300 over the next week. So looking on track again

The newish growth is showing a lighter green. I am assuming a deficiency of some sort? from what I have read, it points to a Sulfur issue? Or am i over reacting?

was the coco well-prepared? That can result in odd twisted and darker growth (k-tox), if not, followed by Ca and Mg deficiencies down the line or shortly after too. Even if the package says it is washed/soaked, doesn't mean they do a good job. e.g. i bought a 5kg brick of mother earth coco and nearly killed my plants. Took 37 days for a clone to grow. HAd dark twisted growth etc etc followed by Ca and Mg problems because the ion exchange sites leeched it out of what you fed and then it caused an overfeed of the supplanted K+ that released to be freely used at that point. Good news if this is the case... give it time.. it will work through it. I'd suggest over-irrigating with extra run-off of your normal nutes... This will quicken the cation exchange going on until it hits an equillibrium, at which point it functions as an excellent substrate (i love coco once i learned how to prepare it correctly) --- other options: Make sure any water-only dose is pH'd and know the pH of your fertilized irrigation to ensure it's near a safe range. Some fluctuation is fine and even beneficial, but you don't want wild swings in pH. It's difficult to know for certain what you should do, but the best route to take is to take the pedal off fertilization for a few days and see how it reacts. If it is a deficiency, it will be obvious very quickly and simply react with virtually no negative impacts in a very specific and certain way. If it is a toxicity, you just avoided making a problem 10x worse by dumping something unneccessary into your coco or soilless medium. Also, nothing you can do with a tox but wait and irrigate. Take the route of the most likely, but also consider what's less obtrusive to start, if multiple choices. pH is obvious and can quickly react to a measurement. Leaf symptomes have all sorts of false positives that will throw you off.

Its been about 1 week since I last post: - its growing extremely well now has doubled in size in a week - no deficiencies that I can see. - I spray some epson salts (1 teaspoon in 2 litres of water) on its foliage every 4-5 days to make sure it gets enough magnesium. - I topped it on the 3 week mark at its forth node - plant did not stress at all and just kept on growing - it opened up the light right down the middle. - expect another 2 weeks at least before flowering time. - not too worried about the purple stems... but will keep an eye on it.
