Rough, had issues with clones never transplanting from coco to hydro again, never taking clones from another person either. Making great progress, plants look good 2 clones recovering well, one may get pulled and put in soil as a project. Waiting to see sex from the seeds I popped. No issues as of yet. Cap ebb and grow works great

Does any one know how to get these girls taller? Lights at almost 46" above them. 2000watts of metal halide, dimmable quantum ballasts.
Solved
Plant. Too short

Increasing red spectrum while decreasing blue will trigger stretch. Actually it is thought, and this seems true to me, it is more a lack of blue than the presence of red though both have a role. Good luck

have you heard of root pruning ? it's where you clip the bottom 5-10% of the roots off with a pair of scissors ... that's really how you get that amazingly fast growth in hydro. Scary as shit the first few times but you can go up to 20% of the total root mass without any/much shock Good luck growmie, hope this helps ! 🚀

So I set up a veg tent today, a 4x4 with a agrobrite 4 ft 8 bulb t5. Also got some fem seeds from a buddy I got 2 jack Nicholson and 12 guava kush and jokers wild mixed not sure how many of each. Follow along pics of the veg set up and such coming next weekly update, they need a daily update thing on here

@Blckrex, it's always like that with the labelling lol, dont beat yourself up, usually around flowering time you can start to tell the difference again 🚀

Unfortunately I have to disagree here, blue does not control the stretch of your plants. If you want them to grow taller, supplement red spectrum. Dr. Bugbee has a great video breaking down the different spectra and its effect on cannabis, but long story short is red light increases stem elongation and leaf width. (I know this is really an answer to your other question but I cant leave this comment there anymore)

@CRiSPrGrow, let me clarify that this is for leds, with metal halide and hps the metal halide offers a different spectrum and around 30% blue photons and switching to hps brings blue down to about 4%, but with full spectrum LEDs you can better control growth with far red photons. Highly recommend watching his courses on YouTube, they are based on a lot of years of studies some very recent and are very informative.

@ZhugeTsuki, see, now the current thinking is that average spectrum is much more important than specific spectrums ... lots of cool innovations in this field and lots and lots to learn, thanks for the share !

Please ignore my other comment! I did not realise you were growing with metal halide, and now I cannot edit or delete it :( The high percentage blue photons given off by the bulb you are using absolutely contributes to the size of the plant.
