Super excited that I didnt kill all my seedlings with the dome. Saw some roots coming out of the rockwool so I transplanted to 1L pots of Pro-Mix HP.

At this point I am beginning to notice an issue... I am not sure what the problem is so I search photos on the net.... "Calcium Deficiency" seems to be the problem.... I go to my local hydro store and purchase some Blue Labs equipment because the PH drops/colour chart is just too iffy for me and Im afraid my plants will croak. Blue Labs EC meter Blue Labs PH Soil + Liquid pen After testing, everything seems to be well within Normal specs

somewhere within this time frame I repot up to 5L. I added around 1/3rd more perlite to make sure my drainage was good and lots of oxygen to roots... I've read too much internet crap by this point and am terrified of everything drastic happening to my poor little plants. I cut open the 1L pots and see loads of roots.. I mist them with a spray of Voodoo Juice, Tarantula, Piranha and a few drops of SuperThrive..... The plants must love it because they grow like the hulk within days and I start Low Stress Training.... By now I am an expert internet reader but still cannot figure out why I have a Calcium issue!!!! I am perplexed.. There are tiny rust looking spots on some leaves as if they have the measels, but not all leaves are effected. ..... I changed from Distilled water to tap water. Filling my old distilled water jugs ( 4L ) and leaving them open in the grow room to dissipate chlorine. Tap water PH is 7.8 and 170ppm to start with. Advanced Nutrients when mixed in takes it down to 6.2, I then further the drop to 5.8 with a few tiny drops of PH Down (phosphoric acid)

Still showing signs of Calcium issues... I'm at a loss here still and decide to not bring my PH down to 5.8 but put it to 6.1 in hopes Ill get more Calcium from the medium.

I go into the local Hydro store and the previous owner happens to be there. We talk about my novice grow and I mention the "Calcium" issue as I show him a photo.... He immediately asks me " Are those pots on a concrete floor? Because if they are, your roots are getting cold making it look like a calcium issue".... The new owner gives me a nice slab of styrofoam from an old box to put on the floor of my tent as I go home. I sick my BlueLabs PH soil pen in a drain hole at the bottom side of my pot and HOLY CRAP its only 17c and the PH is 5.2 !!!!! I take the plants to the bathtub and flush them with clean water PH'd to 5.8, about 8L of rinse per pot. I check initial run-off and its a whopping 2300ppm/50!!!!! I also remove some of the effected fan leafs in hopes I dont get some sort of plant illness. A day later I do the same PH test, PH is 5.8 and temp is 22C...all is well again. I should have paid attention to growing saying...make sure you get run off checks.

Well... I have some great looking buds happening by this point in my opinion. Unfortunately I didnt end up with a super red looking plant like I wanted but it is changing colours and definitely has purple hues at this point. The smell is getting thick, thank god I purchased the Can-Lite carbon filter or my whole place would be reaking.... I should be getting close to finishing according to Sweet Seeds website, but upon inspection there is still a while yet to go... They've been getting 24hour light the entire time and good airflow. The shorter plant seems to have progressed further at this point, trichomes are standing on end and I feel good about my grow.

This is my current timeline/ up to date.... Cutting off the Bloom nutes, adding more carbs and finishers. I've been watching trichomes under a mircrscope and just noticed a very very few are turning brown, most are milky now with still many clear... Id say around 60/40 milky.... There is still some new bud growth, one plant of the two is yellowing heavily now... May be one more full week.. The smell is very fragrant, if I touch a bud I notice a bubble gum scent which fades quickly to a lemony sort of scent.... They look very healthy and much more resin production than the Sweet Seeds catalog photos, although they are no where as Red under normal lighting. The LEDs certainly make them look more Reddish/Purple than they are but they still seem to be getting darker

I'm going to rinse the left pot with Advanced Nutrient "Flawless Finish" which is suppose to grab nutrients out from the plant and medium with empty chelates then only feed with PH 5.8 water for a week or so. Tricomes are mostly milky now on it but not many brown at all. The 2nd plant which is much taller looks to be about a week behind, so will treat that one accordingly. I'm really tempted to chop the advanced one down!!! Flawless Finish and Bud Candy from now on out, Giving a more heavy dose of Flawless Finish right now and will wait 12 hours and do it again with a heavy flushing that time to get the medium as clean as possible. It will take at least 4L per pot to start flushing well. Still look like they are packing and fattening up though. Yellowing in the left side is pronounced, Day 65: A few more days of flushing till the chop. The scent is kind of nasty right now

Week 9. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

This was my first entire indoor grow. From day 1 this strain should have died on me being an overzealous newbie. It survived being cooked as a seedling in the humidity dome. It survived very cold temperature in the root zone from sitting on cold concrete. It survived over fertilization and overwatering. It lived through being dried out by accident over a weekend.... I had flushed it 4 or more times throughout its life because I messed up mixing my nutrients.. Just soo many bad things happened and they survived! It has been almost 2 weeks now since harvest. Buds are curing in jars with 62% Boveda packs. The grassy hay smell is gone now. The buds smell sweet, fragrant, yet not very intense. The burn is good although could be more smooth on the lungs. I needed to flush much longer but didn't have the time. Overall, this strain get awesome and is very potent. I cant finish a normal zigzag joint on my own without feeling effects too heavily. Its more couchlock now that it is ageing.

It was fun and exciting to watch and help these seeds turn into a plant. I'm only hoping now that I can dry and cure them properly to get full experiences ! :)000 Curing is going well. Grassy smell almost completely gone now after 2 weeks.

Nice strain and powerful nutrients, i think you did a mistake with the light. I also did, check my diary, seedleings have problem with too much light! The distance between light and seedling must be above 70-80 cm!😉

Hellhazardcommented7 years ago
@Bertaz31, I didn't open the humidity ports... The seedlings were being steamed to death in the propagation dome. :(

Hi nice grow 👌 I got the same Strain germinating straight from soil in boi biz light grow indoor tent humidity 75% lights 600w bulb .. I’m looking for advice I’m on day 2 and nothing 🌱 sprouting yet . Would anyone recommend I add neutrients at this stage ?
Hellhazard
Hellhazardcommentedweek 97 years ago
@Lamainverte, I had almost 500g wet/trimmed on branch stalks hanging. At 60%RH I had 107grams of bud/no branch stalks. Still smells grassy but the scent it coming on now. The RH in my drying area was too low (35-40%rh) so they only hung for 3 days. Now I have them in a freezer bag trying to slower dry/cure.
Hellhazard
Hellhazardcommentedweek 97 years ago
Flushed my medium out to 200ppm two nights ago. Starting tap water is 170ppm so there is hardly any nutrients left. I cut a small fluffy bud off the bottom and trimmed it to air dry and test. It probably wont taste all that great but it feels very sticky. I think they look slightly more Red than before but I'm not sure until I take more photos and examine. Day 63: I also gave it darkness for the first time in its lifespan of 10 hours. I'm hoping it may make the plant think winter is coming. Night time temps fell to 17c with the window opened a crack.
the end.
