whoa, week five!? time simultaneously flies and passes so so slowly. I've installed air filtration in the nick o' time with pistils appearing on two plants now. Vivosun 4", carbon filter plus 190 CFM inline fan with no adjustable speed. Filter is hanging inside the tent, fan is outside tent bolted to a ceiling stud and currently just venting into the room. it's in a straight line with a window leading outside and in the long-term I'm planning on venting everything out through there. The temp and humidity fluctuations are GONE - which I guess makes sense since it's just circulating air throughout the room. I measured my light today and realized it's much closer to the top of the canopy than I thought (this just in: men tend to overestimate the size of things when eyeballing). Is the yellowing under the blurple real? Is the light too close? I've noticed some purples on the petioles of the Lemon Drop. Is this showing a nitrogen deficiency? Girls are all over the map in thirstiness but it's as low as 2.5 L every other day and as high as 3 L a day. There's probably some merit in growing multiple plants of the same strain rather than a shotgun blast of random strains with varying needs eh. Some rambling on lights and expansion: I've been putting in and taking out extra lights, fiddling with too many settings at once to get any consistent kinda data. I gave away the smaller EECCO blurple to set up another grow. I'm up in the air between ordering another KingLED 1500 for this tent (matching lights, each would be responsible for a 2x3 footprint) or ordering the Mars Hydro TS 1000 and using it as the primary light in here and supplementing it with the kingLED. I guess my thinking is if I put in another King, this tent will be a "finished" build with lights, air and filtration... and with flowering just getting rolling, now is the time to crank up the light intensity right? Then, when I muster up the resources in a few months, I can order a KingBrite QB from overseas, get a second tent, and drop in a DWC and have a whole second system. If I get a Mars Hydro TS1000 now, I can get another TS1000 in a month or two, replace the KingLED with it to finish this tent, and move the KingLED to a smaller tent or use it to grow vegetables or something. At $200 CDN and 260w, the Mars Hydro TS1000 and the KingLED 1500 basically cost the same and deliver in the same amount of time... Input requested, plz.

Has anyone ever heard of Dark Empire Seeds? The seed vendor I purchased from says they've been working with DES, who are based in Spain but... I can't find a peep about them anywhere. Are these gonna be mutie autoflower weirdlings?

doesn't look mutated. light burn doesn't typically start that way, and that young would have fallen over at same time, probably. wilt at least accomanying the light burn that expands rapidly. think the other is self-inflicted, even if treated the same as the other plants. this one is going to be more sensitive, at least early on. Always let the plant dictate. if one is different, that's the way it goes when you grow a variety of genetics. it doesn't mean they are bad, if they are unknown. if i had to wager on the chances being better or worse, well, that's different... but don't jump the gun.. at this point they could be the best buds ever too... lol.

What concentration of nutes should these girls get? I hear autoflowers take less, but idk why or if true. I'm using AN PH Perfect Sensi Coco Grow A&B and have Bloom A&B as well. How soon should I start feeding bloom? What concentration?

you are in coco, so probably less pronounced. they just grow faster and eat less, it seems. i would start as you normally do, but any hint of darkness, give a pH-only irrigation and it'll dilute back down no problem. i don't know what kinda ppms that system puts out.. but as long as it's fairly normal, you shouldn't have to worry too much.. often times the instructions can be for optimal conditions or just plain bloated. if ppms are 600-800, its probably mild enough.

My night-time temperature drops down to 19.8C (67.7 f) and rises to 29C (84 f) during the day. is this enough of a temp swing to see colours in the next few weeks?

Yoohoo 👋 Firstly good move going into the basement, i hope you'll get the cool temp colors too, i seem to get good fade when i really lower the feeding in the end of flowering. Anyways, with the autoflower feeding, typically you'll want to start in at 1/4 strength, but this doesn't apply to them all...some handle heavy feeding well and others do better with it. But that info you might get straight from the breeders recommendation. I would bring in the bloom nutrients as soon as you see preflowers or pistils starting to show. Most of my autos started to flower around week 4-5. The bright green growth you have is probably the increased light, but it can also sometimes hint at a iron deficiency. But if the leaves grow out into a healthy green it's not much to worry over. I think many of us have the idea that More mean More...but for me I've found Less is more. I have more problems when i try to push too much to the max, nutrients etc. So I'd stick with your moderate feeding schedules unless you see deficiency signs, and bring in the bloom in the next week or two.

@Experimentgreen, thanks so much! plants seem happier already in the basement. I'm seeing the first pistils on my lead lady... I'll consider phasing in a lil bit of bloom next feeding!
