In the first two weeks we battled some very cold days and nights. It was a struggle to keep the plants warm, and it is obvious that the plants were stunted in first week. Now that the temperatures have leveled out, the plants have responded well with good growth. I worry that they will still be too small in a week or two when they start flowering, however Im hoping the addition of my BlackDog LED 600 will power them through the flower cycle.

One blueberry is struggling to keep up. I think that it was stunted early and just never fully recovered. I topped and tied down two plants a few days ago as an experiment, they seem to be recovering well. I increased the wattage of my vege light to 345 from the wall with both red and blue spectrum to encourage a more robust vegetative growth. I also gave my first very light dosage of nutrients. End of week update: Switched on the 640 watt Black Dog LED and the plants have exploded with growth. Going to give a very light nutrient feeding tonight to give the plants a boost after the light switch. Nearing the end of week four, I expect these autos to start the flowering process in the next few days. Finishing up so minor adjustments to the LST, while leaving the Blueberry runt untouched.

Its the start of week 5, and the plants are getting very bushy. Have been watering just about every other day and have kept a solid 20/4 light schedule. The last week was making adjustments on LST as well as precision defoliation on fan leaves that were hiding new growth. This week I plan on letting the plants do their own thing and grow like "weeds" I'm hoping they turn to flower soon because I am on a tight timeline with a move at the end of July...

Well, we finally went into flower! The stretch has begun on all of the plants, while the bud sites have started taking form. Its extremely noticeable how much better and developed the topped autos are when compared to the LST ones. Have to say that I am a true believer and will be topping all of my autos from now on. I take them out of the tent and put them in the natural light on the days I am off. They seem to perk up alot after a few hours in the sun. The stretch is incredible though, they have grown 4 inches in the last three days.

As a first time grower, I am amazed at how quickly the plants shifted into their flower phase. They seemed to almost stretch to the sky overnight. The bud sites have become very apparent and well developed. There is one of my Blueberry plants that has kind of stalled and is only showing pre flowers still, however, I am very happy with the progress of the crop. Individualized defoliations on the plants. The topped plants are extremely bushy and the leaves are noticeably smaller in length and width, but the bud sites look glorious. The LST plants have grown into distinct main colas. Lesson learned, the LST needs to be tied down tight. The pipe cleaners that I used were simply pulled up by the plant during the stretch phase. Second lesson, Always top your autos!

Lots of defoliation this week. Cleaning out the undercarriage. I've been focusing on removing the large fan leaves that are not directly connected to bud sites. I think the plants has completed it's stretch cycle and we are fully into bud development at this point. We have had some very hot and humid days in the past few weeks but these plants have been very resilient. I was afraid that one of my topped Amnesia Haze plants had developed pollen sacs, however the white hairs began protruding so its all good. I have been having so much fun with this new hobby. It is my first grow but surely not my last. Cannot wait to try more strains next time.

Developing some rust spots on one of the Northern lights plants. However, I'm just going to let it play out and see what happens. Not much happening this week. The buds are becoming connected so I expect them to start fattening up over the next two weeks. Crystals have begun to appear and the topped Amnesia Haze is already super thicc.

I have rust spots growing on some of the fan leaves of the Northern Lights auto. None of the other plants in the tent seem to be having the same effects. All are fed and watered at the same rate. I assume it is some sort of deficiency however I dont know what it is. Any help?

I second redbeardgrows comment on checking your mediums PH level. I had a similar problem with a blueberry auto that I'm currently growing, my waters PH was always between 6.2 to 6.5 but my mediums PH was literally 5.2 to 5.6 in all 4 of my plants (in soil) I got myself some crushed limestone, and within 2 days I noticed them all come back to health quickly, its been 4 days now and they look healthier than ever so I'm sure when I recheck my PH itll be back up where it should be. Mine only began flowering a week ago and they are now 7.5 weeks old. Looking very good for your first grow mate, this is my first indoor grow but I've had several outdoor. Looking forward to seeing you harvest . As the other guy mentioned, adding some cal-mag wouldnt hurt either, I add it to all my nutrient solutions now just to be safer and keep them healthier :) (I got a mag deficiency, but turns out it was from nutrition lockout due to low ph) Happy growing!

have you checked your medium's PH? I saw in a video dude was having a similar problem and it turned out the soil PH was up around 7.5 even tho he'd been watering 6.0-6.5. Hope they get better soon bud!

I would say you have high temperature and humidity in the tent. Try to reduce it. I might as well reduce nutrients and try to add them cal mag.

Its hot and humid. Been this way for the last few weeks. Nothing much I can do about that. I'm starting to see some effects of that combo on the discoloration on the leaves and some brown spots. But the buds continue to look good and fatten up so I cant complain too much. I think I am about two weeks out from harvest. I'm going to give them one last big feeding tomorrow and then its water only from here on out. Tricomes have begun to show up in force. The NLs are all about 50/50 white and brown hairs. The Amnesia Haze is the star player, her flowers are very dense and large. BB is packing on the weight and may be the surprise of the grow if it keeps up. Very excited to pull these down and enjoy these plants.
