Grow 2 - week 3 ends 9/06/2020 Day 15 - 21 1. Changed lights from 10w to 75w led 2. Changed hydro from water only Aerogarden Sprout (germination) to Wilma, isning growth medium hydrococo 60/40 3. Miscalculated by factor of 2 the nutrient mix - resolved. Found a proper nutrient calculator at AdvancedNutrients 4. Taking regular measurements of ph and ppm (ph ranging between 5.8 and 6.4, ppm at around 560 - too high?) 5. Automated watering To do: 1. Add remote camera - done 2. Figure out mechanism to autoadjust light height to optimum - science - must be a caluclation for this - pi (ir/laser inferometer/ultrasonic?) and pulley/motor? - done (low tech) 3. Design instrument to automate/record readings of: air/water temp, air humidity, time/date of reading, ph, ppm, water temp, light spectrum, anyhing else? - pi? (done - bought one)

I'd like to undertand what the importance or significance of these numbers are, and if they indicate issues to resolve: Hydro - 30 litre reservoir ph: 5.91 - pretty sure that's in the perfect range for hydro ppm 1502 - no idea μS/cm - 3195 - no idea humidity 41% Temp: 21 - 36c

Ph 5.8 is what most run in veg, 5.5 to 6 is acceptable. In flower 6.2 but 6 to 6.5 is ok. 1500 ppm on hanna scale is 3.0 ec, way to high. In veg from 600 to 8oo maybe 900ppm depending on your lights and environment. In flower start at 600 ppm, increase as necessary. Humidity in veg and early flower, anything 50% or higher, tom70% Ideal temp 24 celcius if have high temps you add c02

Dear experienced growers - how close to harvest does it look like I am? The RQS data sheet indicates 21st of July. I'm not a great photographer, but could try again if it helps.

Looks like she needs at least 2-3 weeks more, then you can flush..be patient and give her time :)

Dear growers: is it time to flush yet, or do I still need to wait a couple more weeks? Also, how should a bud look: I've never actually seen a pot plant before, so no idea what one looks like, and wouldn't be able to tell a "fat" from a skinny bud.

Nice buds! You still have 2-4 weeks, you need 70-90% of your hairs to turn red before harvest. These last 2-4 weeks, they'll pack on the most bud weight. Even more if you don't flush at all. The science says flushing is outdated and wrong, but if you feel the need, wait aft least one more week.

I'm a first time grower as well. I bought a cheap indoor/ outdoor thermometer to remotely monitor temp, and humidity. Likely help you keep tabs on it from another area of your home. Just take the outdoor sensor and tape it to your grow area with some velcro tape so you can change the batteries as required. Not sure if this helps or not. Good luck with the grow!!

@diverdown, good tip, thanks. Tending towards low tech for now, and that sounds about right.

Maybe consider flipping her into flower. Unless you're after a monster she's big enough to flip. Keep in mind she will double in size during that 3 week stretch after first pistils show and she will still grow a bit more in the week after the stretch. Flip her, that's when it gets really exciting
