day 22: a new week starts, and the pistils are rather big already, so i mark this as the first week of flowering.. yesterday she got some AN nutrients, so today there will be no watering..
day 22 afternoon: i decided to do some lst, and noticed that the Plagron was really dry, so i guess the recent growth spurt required most of the water that was provided to them, so i did give them both some RO water with half-strength calmag..
day 24: i gave them a bit of RO water with 1/2 strength calmag again..
day 28: they got some of the AN nutrients again..
Congratulations! 👏
Thank you very much for trusting our strains, and sharing your experience.
And thank you very much again for the score of 8 out of 10!! 👏😍❤️
We hope you enjoy the harvest 👌
Sweet smokes!

@Sweet_Seeds, thanks! I am already looking forward to the next grows with your seeds! I still have seeds for four different strains, so after the run i just started now, there'll be another diary from sweet seeds again.. i'm really looking forward to the red poison auto, so i think that will be next in line! :)
@ijustdontgiveaf, that sounds like a good plan! Any time I have used supersoil blends when growing autos I find it starts to lose its ability to keep up nutritionally with the plant around mid flower, but that's with blends I've mixed together. But it's easier enough to add a little flowering nutrients right at the end if that happens. It sounds like you have any potential issues accounted for, and those sweet seeds genetics will leave you with some lovely plants! Happy growing to you too!
@Cheeba_Inu, thanks!
Yes, the water really is quite hard here.. after i moved and was only growing chili peppers for a while, i've had some health issues with the chilis that i just couldn't explain, as i didn't do anything different than before.. that was until i finally decided to get an EC meter. The RO filter was however one of the most important purchases i've made and it has made things so much more controllable.
Those two little ones here, only get a small amount of water each day, so they're doing fine (even the plants in my living room that only get tap-water are doing alright), but once i move them into their final containers and get them into the Plagron mix, that itself is prefertilized with up to 1.6 mS, i'll definitely have to switch to RO (with a little bit of calmag after checking with the guys at Plagron).
Now, after having at least a little bit of experience with the Plagron thanks to my Hindu Kush grow, as well as my White Widow mother that doesn't have a diary, I also feel like i know approximately when the prefertilization of this mix runs out. This is pretty spot on with their advertisement of "about 6 weeks". This means it's best to start fertilizing around week 5 to keep it going consistently.
Those +speed auto however are advertised to be harvested after 7 weeks of germination, so i might manage to keep them in the small container for another week and then i could repot them and wouldn't even have to fertilize the Plagron at all (other than some bloom additives). The end of the Plagron prefertilization should then coincide with the beginning of the flush. This would make things really easy.
I guess i'll see if this works out the way i imagine it could be ;)
happy growing to you!
I've seen your ducks are doing well outside!
@Sweet_Seeds, thanks and she's been doing great!
I should have given her a bit of base-nutrients a week ago (as the pre-fertilization of the Plagron didn't seem to hold up as long as i had hoped it would.. i guess that's the risk with all those pre-fertilised mediums), so i just added a tiny dose for the last bit to not starve her too soon..
When looking at the trichomes I have the feeling she will be done towards the end of the next (growing) week. Maybe a tad later, but still hard to imagine that she's finishing around the same time as my Hindu Kush, which germinated 5 weeks earlier.
Of course she's much smaller, but that's to be expected with such a fast strain. :)
She's even a bit smaller than other +speed grows i've seen, but i don't really mind that..
A perfect strain for stealth grows and SOGs in limited vertical environments..
@Sweet_Seeds, thanks and sure thing!
All the ones i have bought from you are faster strains, but with this one i might even be able to make it in time for the cup you are hosting here!
Will be a close call though, but that was definitely not on my mind when going through the selection process.
I have other grows that take 100+ days (sativas or some photoperiods that i let veg for a long time), so going for a fast auto-strain this time will be a nice change-up ;)
..and as you saw with the selection, there'll be more sweet seeds diaries to come moving forwards!
cheers!
