The Afghani #1 was very forgiving for my first grow. My plants didn't seem picky with nutrients and bounced back well after a couple bumps in the road.
As for affects, with a few hits the high is uplifting and was good for day time. A few extra hits and it's a stronger body high.

The plants seemed to fill out well under the light. The main stems put on a good bit of bud in flower. Hard to say because I'm sure I could improve yield by doing a better job in a few areas as far as growing goes.

I'll come back to this once the bud is dried and cured. So far I'm happy with how the grow went. Being my first real grow I was expecting to have some problems, and I did hit a couple snags. My choice of soil at the second round of transplanting caused a stunt in growth that lasted about two weeks, and I saw some yellowing in the fifth week of flowering after top dressing, so I could have top dressed a week earlier. The Afghani #1 was very forgiving and easy to grow. I expect to do even better with the seeds I have left.

Is there a good "rule of thumb" N-P-K to start with for flowering? I have a 4-6-3, 3-9-4, and 2-2-2 to mix for various N-P-K's. I'd like to get close to an ideal mix when I top dress in a few weeks. I know fertilizer needs will vary by strain, but I'm interested in a baseline.

Hey Growmie,
A general rule of thumb is to remain close to a 3-1-3 (N-P-K) ratio for the first few weeks. During flowering, it is best to reduce the proportion of nitrogen to phosphorus and potassium compared to the ratio used during the vegetative stage. It is essential to lower the portion of N at this point. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time"

I have been reading about the Dr. Earth line, your pants are a great example of awesome seeds, great nutrition, and amazing farming!

@MrJones, thanks! I've been pleased with how the Dr. Earth line has worked as a dry amendment and for use in making fertilizer tea. It has definitely made this a much easier experience. The Afghani #1 strain has also been very forgiving.

When in flower, you want to be around 45/55% Humidity - I am struggling with that as well, I kicked up my fans to at least keep the air moving, I also started to water at beginning of lights on, so the heat from the lights can dissipate a bit of the moister created after watering, would love to see pictures of the flowers :)
