May 11 2020 - This was the start of my 2020 Grow Season. Today I am starting the following 3 strains from feminized seeds. Barney’s Farm - Dr. Grinspoon Niagara’s Own - Skywalker OG Niagara’s Own - Grand Daddy Purps (Fast) Unfortunately I am starting about 3 weeks late, due to Covid-19 I was delayed in acquiring my seeds. I do however have some seedlings and clones joining my garden in a week or 2 from some local friends and growers. These have been going for about a month now give or take. All together I will be growing the following: Cherry Pie (x2) (Seed, roughly 10”) Peyote Gorilla (Seed, roughly 7”) Kali Mist (Clone, roughly 8”) Frisian Duck (Clone, roughly 6”) Sundae Punch (Clone, roughly 10”) Dr. Grinspoon (Seed) Skywalker OG (Seed) Grand Daddy Purps (Seed - Fast) I am still in the process of finishing my outdoor 16’ x 20’ Greenhouse, I plan to have it finished and all the plants in the ground the weekend of June 6th 2020. Until then they are inside under a 600w LED grow light.

Week 2 - May 21st Success, 3 for 3, all of my seeds fired. Everybody is coming along nicely, with an average height around 1.5”. The GDP was the first to sprout followed by the Dr. then Skywalker. The Dr. Is already showing his uniqueness with very rippled leaves. This is my first time growing Dr. Grinspoon, it’s known to be a difficult strain to grow, I’m hoping for beginners luck!!

Week 3 - May 25th They gang is all here!! (Plus some guests) The remaining seedlings and clones were dropped off today as well as some clones that I am holding till I can get them to my buddy next weekend. I definitely have a wide range of sizes at this point, I had to raise my light to accommodate the larger plants, I am hoping that doesn’t impact my new seedlings. 1) Cherry Pie - 11” 2) Cherry Pie - 9.5” 3) Peyote Gorilla - 7.5” 4) Kali Mist - 7” 5) Frisian Duck - 6” 6) Sundae Punch - 12” 7) Dr. Grinspoon - 3” 8) Grand Daddy Purp - 3” 9) Skywalker - 3” Visiting - Blueberry Dragon, Purple Grip, Black Tuna, Forum Stomper, Grapefruit. Greenhouse is coming along nicely, main structure went up today.

Week 4 - June 1, 2020 Most of my temporary guests have moved on, the rest will be leaving this weekend. This was a crazy week, I’ve been working around the clock on the greenhouse. I really need to get it finished so I can get these girls outside. I was trying to decide if I should transplant up a pot size on my Cherry Pie, Peyote Gorilla, and Kali Mist... However I thought I could have the greenhouse done by this past weekend so I opted not to transplant them twice. They really are starting to outgrow their little pots. The good news is I will be done tomorrow evening so they will be finally going outdoors June 2nd. Earlier in the week I moved the girls outdoors to get some sun and to get a bit of wind on them. Unfortunately I came home to find my Sundae Punch had fallen over and about 1/2 of its leaves burnt up from the hot patio. I trimmed off the majority of the damage, cleaned up the soil and gave her a good drink. She seems to be bouncing back, I’m confident she will pull through. However she has definitely had a set back!! 1) Cherry Pie 13” (+2”) - Seed 2) Cherry Pie 11” (+1.5”) - Seed 3) Peyote Gorilla 8.5” (+1) - Seed 4) Grapefruit 7.5” (+.5”) - Clone 5) Frisian Duck 8.5” (+2.5”) - Clone 6) Sundae Punch 12” (0) - Clone. ***Accident*** 7) Dr. Grinspoon 4” (+1”) - Seed 8) Grand Daddy Purp 4” (+1) - Seed 9) Skywalker 3.5” (+.5”) - Seed *10) Kali Mist 10” (new - clone) *11) Double Grape Auto 3” (new - seed) *****UPDATE***** June 3rd 2020 Greenhouse is ~ Basically Complete. Everything is closed in, hip vent is sealed, but not yet functional. Vent system is operational but needs to be activated manually, still need to install thermostat control. We had a pretty decent thunderstorm last night, lots of rain and some high winds. I was extremely impressed with the greenhouse, she stood up well, no issues what so ever. Another task to complete is the installation of the eves trough, I was going to have it outside the greenhouse along my garage roof line, but after watching the rain last night I believe I am now going to look at installing it in the greenhouse underneath the connection to my garage. Planting went well, I ended up putting almost everyone in the ground. Was going to hold off on the smaller seedlings, but I really wanted them out of the “Miracle Grow” (they should call that stuff “ it’s a Miracle if they Grow”). Each hole was given a nice helping of sheep manure and a bit of “Iron Earth” with the transplant on top. I went with roughly 4 foot spacing so everyone will have lots of room, I have a total of 8 in the soil which is I think the perfect number for the size of the greenhouse. It could hold 12 if everybody was packed in a bit tighter. I transplanted my GDP (fast) and the new Double Grape (Auto) into larger 6” pots for now, they are currently in amongst the others. Eventually they will go into my large outdoor pots (35 litre I believe) I want to be able to move them around my property and put them in the greenhouse on stormy nights. The Frisian Duck, which I am loving, is also currently still in her 6” pot, I am trying to decide if she will go in the greenhouse or potentially outside my office window so I can watch her grow. (‘such a cool looking plant!!) I am going to give them a few days to climatize to their new environment then I will be starting my nutrient cycle this coming weekend (4-5 days) I also acquired 2 new plants, bringing my total to 11. Was given a nice little Grapefruit Clone that has already been topped, and the auto Double Grape I was growing for a buddy will be staying as well. His better half didn’t want the plants due to Covid-19 and the potential transition between households. (‘buddy is pissed!!! Lol) I plan on posting a short video on the greenhouse once I get a few more things buttoned up. Current tasks are: 1) install eves 2) connect eves to water tank ( manual watering for now) 3) install thermostat control For ventilation 4) lay patio stones 5) install and hook up weather station 6) add stone walk ways ( with landscapers tarp) 7) build work station (simple bench) 8) make hip vent functional 9) create auto watering system (with ability to feed each plant custom nutrients) 10) Install double plastic and air pump (to setup for winter growing) ??? - this one is undecided for now!

Week 5 - June 7th 2020 Well, I thought the majority of the hard work on the greenhouse was done, however it’s been another busy week... I am currently struggling with very high temps in the mid afternoon (105f - 120f). I am getting very good air flow in the greenhouse, all of my babies have a slight flutter to them as the air circulates. I am still working on a setup for a hip vent, it wasn’t in my original plans, however a plastic shortage resulted in a seem that has created a perfect start to a hip vent. Now that I have this heat issue, what used to be a mistake/patch, will now become my much needed hip vent. (‘A higher power was obviously looking out for my babies!!) Anyway I hope to sort out the hip vent this week, in the mean time I have added an industrial fan from my shop. It was just introduced this morning so we will see how that helps, I’m hoping that it will do the trick for now. My crop has officially been capped at 11 - all planted directly in the ground. (7 fem seeds, 2 of them are autos, and 4 clones) I also have 4 house guest that will likely be with me for another 2 weeks. They are still in small pots, they were inside under my grow light, but they are also in that damn Miracle Grow, so I decided to put them in the greenhouse as well in hopes that the heat will help dry out the soil. After a week in the greenhouse that seems to be working and they are showing some signs of growth again. Enough about my visitors thou, let’s talk about my babies.... Despite my struggles with the high temps, I feel that my plants are all doing very well, there is a bit of yellowing on some of the lower leaves, which I believe is a direct result from the heat. But other than that, they are looking strong and green. I am also very pleased with their growth this week, everyone is taking to the greenhouse nicely and seem to be flourishing. Especially the smaller saplings that were struggling indoors. They are finely really starting to sprout up. This past weeks watering cycle was .5ml every other day in the evenings (‘have been trying to get the soil to dry up to allow the root systems to bring in oxygen.) Moving forward now that everyone has settled in an has adjusted to the greenhouse, I will be increasing to .5ml daily (at night). I have also started my weekly nutrient cycle, I am using the Advanced Systems line, this week we did about a 1/4 dose of a B-52 and Ph perfect Sensi grow mix. The bigger plants got .6ml while the 4 smaller guys got .4ml each, all at a ppm of 400 with a ph of 6.5. 1) Cherry Pie 15” (+2”) - Seed 2) Cherry Pie 15 (+4”) - Seed 3) Peyote Gorilla 12 (+3.5”) - Seed 4) Grapefruit 8.5” (+1”) - Clone 5) Frisian Duck 10.5” (+2”) - Clone 6) Sundae Punch 12” (0) - Clone. *** still recovering from last week*** 7) Dr. Grinspoon 7” (+4”) - Seed 8) Grand Daddy Purp 5” (+1) - Seed 9) Skywalker 6” (+2.5”) - Seed 10) Kali Mist 14” (+4”) - clone 11) Double Grape Auto 4” (+1”) - seed I have also started to introduce some guild plants, to ward off insects, so far I have added 2 Basil plants, 3 Mint plants, and 2 lavender plants. I also plan on introducing dill, chamomile, alfalfa, and of course marigolds. I should be picking that order up on Monday, so those with join the garden on Monday night. While the plants are mainly used to ward of unwanted insects or invite the once’s we want in our gardens. The Chamomile, Alfalfa, and Marigolds are also very beneficial in promoting growth and essential oil production. Plans for this week are to continue the design of the hip vent, add more guild plants, install weather system, install my eaves trough, and hopefully install my patio stones and a work bench in the work area. ***UPDATE *** June 8/20 Got the weather system setup last night, can now monitor both indoor and outdoor temps as well as outdoor wind direction and speed. (Will get photo of setup) Guild plants were picked up at noon, they are currently in the shade, will be planting those tonight. (will add a picture once planted) Hope to complete the eaves trough install tonight after I pick up my Home Depot order.

Week 6 - June 14th 2020 What an awesome week!! I think all the girls have now fully settled in, and are thriving!! I haven’t measured everyone yet, but I think some may have doubled in size this week, I’d say everyone at least doubled their growth from last week. I didn’t give any nutrients this week, after last weeks burn I wanted to flush the soil and give everyone a chance to bounce back. After this weeks vigorous growth, I think I will get back onto the nutrients cycle next weekend. 1) Cherry Pie 19” (+4”) - Seed 2) Cherry Pie 19” (+4”) - Seed 3) Peyote Gorilla 15.5” (+4”) - Seed 4) Grapefruit 11.5” (+3.5”) - Clone 5) Frisian Duck 12” (2.5”) - Clone 6) Sundae Punch 15” (+3”) - Clone. *** fully recovered *** 7) Dr. Grinspoon 12” ( +5”) - Seed 8) Grand Daddy Purp 8” (+3”) - Seed 9) Skywalker 8” (+2”) - Seed 10) Kali Mist 16” (+2”) - clone 11) Double Grape Auto 5” (+1”) - seed Ok so I must be smoking to much of the good stuff.... Growth this week was still excellent. Specifically for Dr. grinspoon, and the 2 Cherry Pie. But unfortunately nobody doubled in size (the doc came close) and most only matched there growth from last week. Temperatures have been good this week, I have been able to stay under 100F most days, but on other days when I does creep up I still think I have enough air circulation that they are getting plenty of CO2. I am going to look into a CO2 bag system for the remainder of the summer, as temps are only going to get worse. As for the Greenhouse, I am continuing to make solid improvements. This week I got the weather station hooked up, the eaves trough was installed, however I have decided to move the water system outside to allow for a work bench/Station, so I need to add a section and reinstall the down spout. I also got all of my guild plants planted, between them and the industrial fan adding circulation I am seeing very few bugs, flys, insects of any kind really... This week I still need to sort out the hip vent, extend the eaves trough, and work on some electrical. (Going to run the vent and the fan vent off of a thermostat, with an override switch, also putting the industrial fan on a switch and prepping some electrical for the water pump for my automated watering system (Still in the design stages *in my head*) hoping to get some assistance from a plumber friend of mine. Will update on Wednesday with a mid week progress report. Hopefully with a Greenhouse video!

Week 7 - June 22nd 2020 Well life and some much needed R&R with my Farm Hand got me side tracked this week. Not much progress was made on the greenhouse but it’s occupants sure were busy!!!. Had another great week of strong growth, maybe it was just being away for 4 days but after getting home today wow what a sight!! The big 6 as I have been calling them (see photos) are rocking it every week with a steady 5 - 10” of growth. The “Farm Team” (named for my Farm Hand, she has a soft spot for this group, she keeps telling me they are just late bloomers and to look out!! Time will tell if she is right) is doing really well also, they have started making the big jumps, and they are really starting to establish themselves. The definite leader of the “Farm Team” is without a doubt the Dr. I think she’s making a push for the big 6, she’s almost doubling in size weekly. 1) Cherry Pie #1 26” (+7”) - Seed 2) Cherry Pie #2 27” (+8”) - Seed 3) Peyote Gorilla 22” (+6.5”) - Seed 4) Grapefruit 14” (+4”) - Clone 5) Kali Must 26” (+10”) - clone 6) Sundae Punch 20” (+5”) - Clone 7) Dr. Grinspoon 22” (+10”) - Seed 8) Grand Daddy Purp 13” (+5”) - Seed 9) Skywalker 13” (+5”) - Seed 10) Frisian Duck 13” (+1”) - Clone 11) Double Grape Auto 12” (+7”) - seed As mentioned in the intro, I didn’t accomplish much on the greenhouse, still fighting with the eaves trough system, lots of leaks inside, I think it needs to come down and get re positioned. So I have that and the hip vent as to priorities, but have also been recruited by my Farm Hand to build a new deck for her father. So we will see just how much I get finished.... For those that are interested I got away to a cottage north of Bancroft on Carson Lake, other than being the tail end of black fly season it was incredible. The nearest town was Barry’s Bay, nice small (tiny) town, has all the essentials, Beer Store, LCBO, Pizza joint, 2 groceries stores and a Home hardware. Town was just 10 min from the cottage. A definite recommendation is the Ashgrove Inn, a small little motel situated across from a small lake, great food, great patio, and amazing sunset from the dock side patio (lakeside order and boat pick-up... very cool) Carson Lake is very clean, clear and quiet, it is a spring fed lake with a proportionate number of cottages. We had an incredible time checking out the lake by paddle board and my Farm Hand was able to work on her tan lines!!! All in all it was just the getaway we needed.

Week 8 - June 28th 2020 Well With about 12 - 14 week left till harvest this puts me about a 1/3 of the way through my grow. Everybody is super healthy and happy, I hope I made the Greenhouse big enough if these girls kept it up they are going to be absolute monsters!! This weeks growth was between 7 - 10” for everyone except my “Double Grape - Auto”. She started to flower mid week, she grew 6 inches, The other slow grower is my “Frisian Duck” (she only grew 3” due to her root restriction in her little pot) she had been left in a pot because I was considering planting her outside my office window (she just looks so cool) however common sense prevailed and the thought of a flowering pot plant outside my office and the accompanying smell made me reconsider. So because my Auto is rather small and will be done in a few weeks, I decided to risk stressing her and transplanted her into a large 3 gallon pot. (Once she settles in, that pot should be plenty big for her) This allowed me to plant the “Duck” in her place. Unfortunately her time in a pot will impact her overall growth but with a couple more weeks of Veg and all of flower she will hopefully produce some decent size and quality bud. 1) Cherry Pie #1 36” (+10”) - Seed 2) Cherry Pie #2 36” (+9”) - Seed 3) Peyote Gorilla 30” (+8”) - Seed 4) Grapefruit 21” (+7”) - Clone 5) Kali Mist 37” (+11”) - clone 6) Sundae Punch 25” (+5”) - Clone 7) Dr. Grinspoon 33 (+11”) - Seed 8) Grand Daddy Purp 22” (+9”) - Seed 9) Skywalker 21” (+8”) - Seed 10) Frisian Duck 16” (+3”) - Clone 11) Double Grape Auto 18” (+6”) - seed As for the Greenhouse, I believe I have finally solved my eaves trough issues, we had a couple good rains this week and the greenhouse remained dry through all of it. In addition I collected close to 100 liters of rain water. Now that I am happy with that set-up I can finally seal up around the trough were it goes through the greenhouse wall. Once again I made no progress on my hip vent, however I am not that concerned, I’m still hitting 100-110F daily, but I have a ton of air circulation and judging by everyone’s growth and the health of my plants I don’t feel the heat is that big of an issue. I did however build a sweet little deck for my “Farm Hands” father, we tried to snap a boobie pic but it wasn’t possible. My plans this week are to sort out my electrical (now that I don’t have to worry about water coming in on it) going to hook up the vent and exhaust fan onto a thermostat switch, with a manual override. Also going to install some receptacles to plug in my fan and a work light over the bench. Also slowly working on my automatic watering system, now that we can go into hardware stores I can check out potential fittings and valves. (My goal is to have a working automated water system for my next grow.

Week 9 - July 7th 2020 Another great week, not to much to report other than a lot of growth. Both plants that were transplanted last week have recovered nicely. Not getting much more size out of the Double Grape Auto, but she seems to be budding nicely. The Duck had a decent amount of growth even with the added stress of the transplant. 4 of my big guys have broken the 4 foot mark. Again everyone posted some serious growth numbers this week. Southern Ontario is going through a mini heat wave that started last week and isn’t showing signs of breaking until this coming weekend. I am averaging temps between 112 F and 124 F daily. However it doesn’t seem to be having a negative impact on my plants. I did add a small oscillating house hold fan that I have dedicated to the 4 smaller plants ( the farm team) allowing the large industrial fan to focus more on the other six (the big six). I believe that the amount of air circulation and exchange is what is allowing me to reach these high temps without negatively effecting their growth. 1) Cherry Pie #1 44” (+8”) - Seed 2) Cherry Pie #2 45” (+9”) - Seed 3) Peyote Gorilla 35” (+5”) - Seed 4) Grapefruit 25” (+4”) - Clone 5) Kali Mist 52” (+15”) - clone 6) Sundae Punch 31” (+6”) - Clone 7) Dr. Grinspoon 43” (+10”) - Seed 8) Grand Daddy Purp 29” (+7”) - Seed 9) Skywalker 28” (+7”) - Seed 10) Frisian Duck 19” (+3”) - Clone 11) Double Grape Auto 19” (+1”) - seed Greenhouse build has definitely slowed down, I did acquire some materials for the electrical project but that as far as I got. I also have a plan in mind for the auto watering system, I will attempt to sketch that up this week and will show you guys next week. I am not expecting much to happen this week, we are getting ready for a camping trip so not much spare time for other projects

Week 10 - July 12th 2020 Welcome brothers and sisters... I think I made a huge discovery this week. One evening this past week (Thursday I believe) I was out in the greenhouse smoking a bowl with my “Farm Hand”, she was asking when they would be ready to harvest (she is as excited as I am!!) I told her that they would vary... my auto should be done in a few weeks, while the others will range from Early Sept to mid Nov. She obviously asked why, so I explained that each variety has different genetics just like other plants. This lead us to google to research the rough flowering period for each variety in the garden. When I got to the Kali mist I was reading about its growing characteristics and I had to do a double read (I took a screenshot and highlighted the section I was reading, it’s in the weekly photos) “She grows into classical sativa plants with very few leaves” “The open plant structure with few leaves allows light to pass all the way to lower branches” Now looking back to the previous pics of my Kali Mist and the height recordings my Kali Mist is bushy and had only reached 25”. However right next to her is my Grapefruit, now she is tall and slender with very few leaves!!! Ok let’s look her up then... WOW..... “Grapefruit is a short plant unlikely to grow beyond three feet tall” (again screenshot in pics) Well holly shit, I think these 2 were switched at birth... I got both of these girls as clones from a buddy of mine, I think he done messed up when it came to labeling the cups the clones were in. As it was late I had to wait till the following day to ring him up for confirmation. But sure enough he confirmed that his Kali Mist grew like my “Grapefruit” In conclusion I have swapped name tags and from this day forward Kali Mist will receive her credit as the biggest of the garden! ***NOTE*** I have gone back in my grow diary and swapped the grow data for my Kali and my Grapefruit. I have however left the pictures labeled as they were (incorrectly) I’m not trying to erase this incident, I think it’s a very interesting part of the grow. I just want to make sure I have accurate grow data for each plant. As for the rest of the garden... once again another fantastic week! The Southern Ontario heat wave continued with record breaking temps on Thursday and Friday. With that we also set an new all time high in the greenhouse of 127.6 F. We finally got some much needed rain on Saturday, my garden is obviously not effected by the rain as I am in the greenhouse, but it was however a nice refill for my watering system. I was down to less than 200 Litres, after Saturday I am back up to nearly 700 Litres. As for growth this week Kali Mist showed the biggest gains with 11” of growth shooting her over the 5 foot mark. She was followed closely by the Dr. who came in with 9” of growth putting her neck and neck with the Cherry Pie girls. The rest of the gang all recorded solid numbers between 6 - 8”. Another surprise this week was the Sundae Punch, after bouncing back from her accident/burn in week 4 she posted 5 and 6” if growth for 3 -4 steady weeks, this week she has definitely slowed showing only 3” this week. Alternatively the Duck had her best week yet posting 5” of growth, she is still the smallest at 24” but hopefully she still has time to catch up to the rest of the group. Finally we have my auto Double Grape, she is budding nicely, she has stopped stretching with 0 overall growth this week. *** NOTE*** When I went back to adjust the grow data for the Kali and the Grapefruit I decided to reorganize my growth list to rank that weeks tallest to shortest, I think it will be interesting to see how some of the smaller guys climbed the leader board. (I’m a data junky!! ) 1) Kali Mist 63” (+11”) - Clone 2) Cherry Pie #2 53” (+8”) - Seed 3) Dr. Grinspoon 52” (+9”) - Seed 4) Cherry Pie #1 51” (+7”) - Seed 5) Peyote Gorilla 43” (+8”) - Seed 6) Grand Daddy Purp 37” (+8”) - Seed 7) Skywalker 35” (+7”) - Seed 8) Sundae Punch 34” (+3”) - Clone 9) Grapefruit 31” (+6”) - Clone 10) Frisian Duck 24” (+5”) - Clone 11) Double Grape Auto 19” (0”) - seed Greenhouse: Physical progress has pretty much come to a stand still. With summer in full swing R&R has taken centre stage while the electrical improvements have been moved to the back burner. I do plan to get back to the greenhouse in the fall after my harvest. I have a growing list of improvements to be done over the winter in preparation for my next seasons crop. One of the larger projects will be the automated watering system. ( I have included a rough sketch in with my weekly photos) I plan to use the existing eaves trough for collection and my water tank for storage. I will drop a small submersible pump into the tank that will feed my main water line. Along the main line are a series of ball valves, above the main line are the water reservoirs and below the main line are another series of ball valves followed by clear tubing that leads to each plant. I will run the system Manually to add my weekly nutrients, to do this you first need to close the lower valves that connect to the clear tubes. Then with all the main line valves open you start the water pump. The water will bottom fill through the main line filling each reservoir in unison. I plan on timing how long it takes to fill to the .5 litre, 1 litre, 1.5 litre and 2 litre marks. depending on how much water I want to feed I will run the pump for the appropriate time. Once the reservoir are at the right level and the pump is shut off I will close the valves along the main line to segment each reservoir. Now I will have the ability to mix custom nutrients in each reservoir for each plant. After the special brew is mixed I open the bottom valves and the water/nutrients goes to each plant individually. In addition to using the system manually to add nutrients I want to set it up to auto water on a daily basis. To achieve this I need to have the valves and the water pump on a timer system. Timer 1 will close the lower valves, timer 2 will open the main line valves, timer 3 will run the pump, timer 2 will go again to close valves while timer 3 stops the pump, finally timer 1 will re open the bottom valves and water the plants. Once the system is set up I can set the timers for watering daily, every other day, twice a day, whatever my needs are. As you can see this is a fairly ambitious project and it will definitely require some of its own electrical. I think it’s best to wait and do the exhaust and industrial fan wiring all together for a cleaner final product. Finally while the greenhouse may be suffering for attention, the ‘Farm Hand” and I have been taking advantage of this unusually hot Canadian summer and have been working on our tan lines in preparation for our upcoming camping trip. We have found ourselves a very private section of beach on the shores of Lake Ontario. We were able to get in one last visit this week before the rain came on Saturday, it was just what we needed before this upcoming crazy week of trailer preparation and packing. We plan to pull out Saturday morning, so I will hopefully do my weekly update on Friday this week.

Week 11 - July 17th 2020 This is actually going to be a double post, I was so far behind on the trailer packing that I ran out of time for this post. I took my weekly measurements and photos and planned to do my post when we got to our camp site but the wifi was not cooperating!!! I honestly can’t say that the garden got much attention this week, I was swamped with preparations for our family camping trip. However even without my usual supervision I still got some solid growth. I now have 6 at or above the 4 foot mark, 3 of those are 5 footer and my Kali Mist is well over 6 feet already. We also had a position change with GDP surpassing the Peyote Gorilla for 5th spot. 1) Kali Mist 75” (+12”) - Clone 2) Cherry Pie #2 63” (+10”) - Seed 3) Dr. Grinspoon 62” (+10”) - Seed 4) Cherry Pie #1 59” (+8”) - Seed 5) Grand Daddy Purp 50” (+13”) - Seed 6) Peyote Gorilla 48” (+5”) - Seed 7) Skywalker 43” (+8”) - Seed 8) Sundae Punch 38” (+4”) - Clone 9) Grapefruit 38” (+7”) - Clone 10) Frisian Duck 29” (+5”) - Clone 11) Double Grape Auto 19” (0”) - seed I have a buddy stopping in all next week to handle the watering and to keep an eye on things while I am gone. He’s a really good friend of ours and an avid grower so I am sure my babies will be in good hands!!! I may end up missing a nutrient feeding next weekend as my nutrient supplier just had a baby boy so he may not be stopping by.

Week 12 - July 28th 2020 I just returned from a 10 day camping trip and OMG!! My babies are huge!!! Its amazing how much they change in a week, when you aren’t watching them every day. My buddy did a fantastic job looking after everything, Not to worry my “Farmhand” will make sure he is thanked adequately. (Honestly the best paying job around!! Lol) I am assuming this will be my last week of veg, I already have a couple that are starting to show signs of flower. I have to say that I am extremely happy with my veg results. My Kali is just shy of 8 feet. My 2 cherries and the Dr are at the 6 foot mark. Peyote Gorilla, GDP, and Sky Walker hit 5 feet. sundae Punch and Grapefruit made 4 feet. The Duck never really had time to catch up, coming in right around 3 feet. My Auto is ready for harvest and is now hanging, at just 20” she isn’t very big, but she will be a nice treat while I’m finishing up the rest of these guys. 1) Kali Mist 90” (+15”) - Clone 2) Cherry Pie #2 77” (+14”) - Seed 3) Dr. Grinspoon 75” (+13”) - Seed 4) Cherry Pie #1 69” (+10”) - Seed 5) Grand Daddy Purp 67” (+17”) - Seed 6) Peyote Gorilla 58” (+10”) - Seed 7) Skywalker 54” (+11”) - Seed 8) Sundae Punch 45” (+7”) - Clone 9) Grapefruit 43” (+5”) - Clone 10) Frisian Duck 34” (+5”) - Clone 11) Double Grape Auto 20” (+1”) - seed I am planning to do some thinning this week, and will be removing a lot of the small undergrowth to allow the plants to focus on flowering the big buds. I wasn’t able to get nutrients last week, but plan on meeting up with my buddy to get one more round of veg nutrients, before we change things up for flowering. For anyone interested, my camping trip was amazing, we had site 779 in Riverside 4 at “Pinery Provincial Park” just outside Grand Bend. It’s a very private site right on the River, with a small path leading down to the water. It was perfect for launching our kayaks and paddle boards for an early morning paddle. We were a small group of 10 this year, we always do a yearly trip with my ‘Farmhands” cousin, husband and kids. However due to summer jobs, one of their kids and my “Farmhand’s” son weren’t able to make it. We couldn’t ask for better weather, having just a few hours of a rain shower last Sunday. We spent mostly every day at the beach other than a day in Grand Bend checking out the shops. The only negative from the trip was that it was a family trip so my “Farmhand” had to behave herself and keep all her clothes on, now we have some serious tan lines to contend with. Nothing a few trips to our local beach spot won’t fix!! If that doesn’t do the trick, we have an adult getaway planned for her 53rd at the end of August, I don’t think we are even packing clothes for that trip!! Till next week, happy growing to all!!

Week 13 - Aug 3 2020 First things first I need to apologize, I am doing renovations at my shop during our 2 week summer shut down and although I am still taking good care of my babies (young adults at this point) I have been struggling to find the time to do my weekly update and it’s now Thursday. I was able to get my measurements taken at the beginning of the week so my data although 4 days late will still be accurate. I hope to be back to my weekly Sunday uploads this weekend. My observations from last week summed up into one word, would be... Forest!! My babies are massive, I don’t know if I can call them my babies any more? 5 of the 10 are taller than I am, they have all surpassed the 6 foot mark. Of those 5, 2 are right at 7 feet and 1 is beyond 8 feet ( she will definitely be hitting the roof at 9 feet shortly. Starting to get some cold nights again which is definitely starting to slow their growth. To prevent the cold drops at nigh my fans and vents are now on timers to come on in the morning and shut off around sunset. 1) Kali Mist 98” (+8”) - Clone 2) Cherry Pie #2 85” (+8”) - Seed 3) Dr. Grinspoon 84” (+9”) - Seed 4) Cherry Pie #1 74” (+4”) - Seed 5) Grand Daddy Purp 73” (+7”) - Seed 6) Peyote Gorilla 63” (+5”) - Seed 7) Skywalker 59” (+5”) - Seed 8) Sundae Punch 47” (+2”) - Clone 9) Grapefruit 47” (+4”) - Clone 10) Frisian Duck 36” (+2”) - Clone My Double Grape Auto which technically wasn’t part of this grow diary, has dried up nicely, she gave, me 13 grams so just shy of a half “O”. This week I need to get in and finish thinning out my lower branches and inner growth to help focus growth on the bigger buds and to aid in air circulation with the increased humidity. We have a wine tour planned for Sunday with some friends so hopefully I’m not to smashed when I do my Sunday upload, who knows maybe it will be really good reading lol. Till next week, happy growing and for my fellow Canadians!!! Wear a mask!!!

Week 14 - Aug 10 2020 Welcome fellow growers, It’s official we have moved out of Veg and into Flowering, the good news is that we have 10 females still (I was unsure on 2 that came from seed, but we are all good) the bad news is that my renovations at the shop have turned into a disaster and I have still yet to finish the thinning of my lower/inner leaves. For the majority growth has slowed considerably as more effort is going into bud production over growth. With that said my Cherry Pie #2, GDP and the Dr still added significant growth between 7 - 12” this week. I was also finally able to connect with my buddy (now the proud poppa of a beautiful little boy) and will be back on the nutrients schedule, Just in time for flowering. 1) Kali Mist 100” (+2”) - Clone 2) Cherry Pie #2 97” (+12”) - Seed 3) Dr. Grinspoon 91” (+7”) - Seed 4) Grand Daddy Purp 83” (+10”) - Seed 5)Cherry Pie #1 77” (+3”) - Seed 6) Peyote Gorilla 69” (+6”) - Seed 7) Skywalker 62” (+3”) - Seed 8) Sundae Punch 49” (+2”) - Clone 9) Grapefruit 49” (+2”) - Clone 10) Frisian Duck 37” (+1”) - Clone As mentioned earlier I still need to finish thinning things out, I am def going to make sure that happens this week, come hell or high water!! I have also got a line on an industrial size dehumidifier, I am hoping it’s a reasonable price and I can add that to the greenhouse to help control my humidity throughout the flowering stage to prevent and bud rot. I am confident my air flow is sufficient, but you can never be to prepared. Finally our wine tour, what a blast... seriously even if you aren’t a big wine drinker (drinker period) like myself you can still have a great time on one of these tours. We are lucky in the Niagara region to have a handful of cider and beer houses going up so you can add in one of those stops along the way to break up the wine. In total we made 11 stops which is really good, typically you can hit 6-7 wineries in a day, but we were on a mission!! I have some great photos of the “Farmhand” from the tour but haven’t edited them yet, I may add them to this entry later in the week or will save them for next weeks post. Wishing happy gardens for all!!! Till next week!! Cheers!!

Week 15 - Aug 17 2020 Welcome fellow growers!! I would say that 8 of my plants have finished their stretch and are really starting to bud out now, 2 of the Sativas (Dr Grinspoon and Kali Mist) are slightly behind the others and are just finishing up their stretch. Everyone looks happy and healthy, I have completed one round of thinning, but plan on doing another round over the next 2 weeks. We had a lot of heavy rain this past week, I am very glad to be growing in a greenhouse. In fact my water barrel that holds 1000 liters overflowed near the end of the week. I may need to look at a dehumidifier if the tail end of summer remains this wet. 1) Kali Mist 107” (+7”) - Clone 2) Cherry Pie #2 100” (+3”) - Seed 3) Dr. Grinspoon 102” (+11”) - Seed 4) Grand Daddy Purp 85” (+2”) - Seed 5)Cherry Pie #1 80” (+3”) - Seed 6) Peyote Gorilla 73” (+4”) - Seed 7) Skywalker 62” (+0”) - Seed 8) Sundae Punch 53” (+4”) - Clone 9) Grapefruit 52” (+3”) - Clone 10) Frisian Duck 37” (+0”) - Clone As mentioned above, my plans for this coming week are to start at the beginning and do another round of thinning. Also looking to start adding some terpinator to my nutrient mix. Hoping that by next week everyone has established some full flower then I will also up the big bud and the bud candy ratios. Finally as promised some shots of the wineries we hit last week. I’ll said it then and I’ll say it again.... If you ever get the chance even... the non wine drinkers, get yourself out on a tour, it was such a fun day.

Week 16 - Aug 24 2020 Hey fellow growers.... thanks for tuning in!! Well I believe everyone is through their stretch, they all averaged between 1 - 4 inches of growth this week, while most really started to show decent budding. It looks like the rain we had last week has ended, but we are back to the high heat which is supposed to last till Thursday. I walked into the greenhouse this morning to find my Kali Mist laying on top of my Sky Walker and GDP. She is by far the furthest ahead in flowering, I guess the weight she has put on is simply to much for her. I was able to hammer a stake in the ground and roughly tie them up, but am def going to need to figure out another solution. I am thinking I will tie them up to the greenhouse Perlin directly above. I am confident that will work at least for the time being. 1) Kali Mist 110” (+3”) - Clone 2) Cherry Pie #2 103 (+3”) - Seed 3) Dr. Grinspoon 103 (+1”) - Seed 4) Grand Daddy Purp 88” (+3”) - Seed 5)Cherry Pie #1 84” (+4”) - Seed 6) Peyote Gorilla 76” (+3”) - Seed 7) Skywalker 64” (+2”) - Seed 8) Sundae Punch 55” (+2”) - Clone 9) Grapefruit 56” (+4”) - Clone 10) Frisian Duck 38” (+1”) - Clone This weeks plan is to finish the 2nd round of thinning and supporting my Kali Mist, it’s going to be a short week thou as we are taking off this Friday to celebrate my “Farmhands” 53 Birthday. I’ve got a fun filled 4 day get away planned for us up in Collingwood, I’ve rented a beautiful secluded log cabin, we will be hitting some more wineries, and the world famous Scandinavian spa, a few nice dinners and to top it all of we are visiting a nudist resort for the day on our way back home. My son will be taking over watering duties, I assure you he doesn’t get the same payment that my buddy did!! Lol that would just be wrong... I will prob end up buying him some sort of Jeep part! As we plan to arrive home late Monday evening my next post will likely be delayed till the Tuesday or even the Wednesday, but I will have my son do the growth check on Sunday to keep everything consistent.

Week 17 - Aug 31 2020 Welcome all... sorry for the late post once again!! There just aren’t enough hours in the day and days in the week it seems. Garden has been a lot of work this week. Pulling off yellow leaves and supporting branches with all this heavy bud. So far I have had to tie up the Kali Mist, and one of the Cherries. A couple others have been staked as the entire plant is leaning over due to the additional weight of the bud. Overall I think the garden is in really good shape. I’ve done a bit of defoliation and have added a 3rd fan to help circulate more air. Still trying to get my hands on a dehumidifier. Thought I had it all lined up now the guy is being weird. (May have to send the “farmhand” over to persuade him!!) Growth has pretty much stopped as most of the ladies are into heavy bud production. The other 3 that just keep growing (Kali Mist, Cherry Pie, Dr.) have now hit the ceiling of the green house so hopefully that will slow them down. I thought I left lots of room for walkways but I guess not, I almost need a machete to get to the Grapefruit way in the back. (Note all measurements are from Aug 31st even thou post is a week late.) 1) Kali Mist 110” (+0”) - Clone (At ceiling) 2) Cherry Pie #2 112 (+9”) - Seed (At ceiling) 3) Dr. Grinspoon 108 (+4”) - Seed (At ceiling) 4) Grand Daddy Purp 88” (+0”) - Seed 5)Cherry Pie #1 88” (+4”) - Seed 6) Peyote Gorilla 80” (+4”) - Seed 7) Skywalker 64” (+0”) - Seed 8) Sundae Punch 56” (+1”) - Clone 9) Grapefruit 58” (+2”) - Clone 10) Frisian Duck 38” (+0”) - Clone This week will be focused on branch support and leaf removal once again. I am thinking that next year I will be going with a smaller garden, same greenhouse, just less plants, I think 6 is a better number for in there, with maybe a few autos in pots. I am afraid that my harvest is going to be over whelming!! As for the Birthday get away what a treat! The BnB we rented was absolutely amazing and the views of the Collingwood mountains were beautiful. I still need to download my pics off the camera, but I will post a few once I do. This weekend the “Farmhand” has our social calendar full as we are trying to make the most of this crazy summer we have had. So I’m not going to kid myself... next post will prob be middle of next week. (measurements will still be recorded Sunday Morning as always for consistency) Till next week!! Happy growing and Harvesting!!

Week 18 - Sept 7 2020 Hey y’all, I hope everyone is seeing big buds in their gardens!! Well what can I say... I am falling behind!! This post is going up 3 weeks late. I have been a good boy and have done my measurements and have taken my notes week to week, but just haven’t had the time to edit photos and write a post. So today (Sept 20th 2020) I’ve got the day to myself to spend in the garden and catching up on my diary. The garden is in great shape, my son did an excellent job last week, he even noticed some white powder mildew on my lime tree and pulled it out of the greenhouse before any of my girls were effected. I guess I owe him big for that one!! Everyone is budding up nicely except the Dr. She still has not decided to bud yet. Overall growth (in height) has seriously slowed down even on the Dr. (Note all measurements are from The Sunday of each week even thou post is a few weeks late.) 1) Kali Mist 112” (+2”) - Clone (At ceiling) 2) Cherry Pie #2 113” (+1”) - Seed (At ceiling) 3) Dr. Grinspoon 112” (+4”) - Seed (At ceiling) 4) Grand Daddy Purp 88” (+0”) - Seed 5)Cherry Pie #1 88” (+0”) - Seed 6) Peyote Gorilla 80” (+0”) - Seed 7) Skywalker 64” (+0”) - Seed 8) Sundae Punch 56” (+0”) - Clone 9) Grapefruit 58” (+0”) - Clone 10) Frisian Duck 38” (+0”) - Clone This week, I’ll continue to trim of yellow leaves and support each plant as best I can. I have also slowed watering to 2L every other day now as our temps have dropped in Canada. As promised, I added a very small selection of pics from last weeks “Birthday weekend getaway”. I hope you like them!!

Week 19 - Sept 14 2020 Welcome fellow gardeners!! Yes I missed this post as well.... but I’m getting all caught up now. This was another good week.. the garden is keeping me very busy, there is at least an hour of work daily when I get home in the evening. Feels like I am constantly pulling leaves and supporting these monster buds. The “Farmhand” and I are headed away for another week of camping. (We were gone Fri 11th - Fri 18th) The garden was in great shape when I left, very excited to see how much bud growth there will be when I return. Once again my Son will be looking after things for me and doing the Sunday measurements. (Note all measurements are from The Sunday of each week even thou post is a few weeks late.) 1) Kali Mist 114” (+2”) - Clone (At ceiling) 2) Cherry Pie #2 114” (+1”) - Seed (At ceiling) 3) Dr. Grinspoon 114” (+2”) - Seed (At ceiling) 4) Grand Daddy Purp 88” (+0”) - Seed 5)Cherry Pie #1 88” (+0”) - Seed 6) Peyote Gorilla 80” (+0”) - Seed 7) Skywalker 64” (+0”) - Seed 8) Sundae Punch 56” (+0”) - Clone 9) Grapefruit 58” (+0”) - Clone 10) Frisian Duck 38” (+0”) - Clone As mentioned earlier this week has been pulling leaves and supporting limbs. I have also be playing with my exhaust fan and circulation fans to try to maintain a good Humidity. I am concerned with that I think are small traces of white powdery mildew. Kinda nervous to go away, but hopefully my son will take good care of things. We are off to Pinery Provincial Park again for a fall camping getaway. Fall is by far my favorite time of year to camp. It’s warm enough during the day to hit the beach and for the “Farmhand” to still want to get naked, then at night it cools off for a nice campfire and a great sleep cuddled up under the covers. I wasn’t able to get any Sunday garden pics as we were away, but I edited a few more from the Collingwood trip and a few from some stops we made on our way to the Pinery. Enjoy!!

Week 20 - Sept 20 2020 Woo Hoo, I’m all caught up!! Just got back from a week long camping trip, I was very excited to see my garden, but a little nervous cause my son contacted me mid week for some guidance on another white powder mildew attack. Buds, Buds, Buds.... wow have these girls really starting to bud out! I’m sure it’s partly the week away, but wow there was some serious bud production this week. Unfortunately yes I also have a small powder mildew issue, it’s not bad, and we were able to shut down the circulation fans to try and minimize the spread. Now that I am home, I have been able to go in and trim a few of the worse branches and have cleaned up the other areas with a baking soda and water solution. Everything looks ok now, but I am def going to have to stay on top of this until harvest. Speaking of harvest I think my Kali Mist and my GDP fast are ready to come down. I will start trimming the Kali this week and then will switch to the GDP which should be ready in another week. Not far behind these 2 will be the Duck and the Skywalker in early Oct. The 2 Cherries, the peyote gorilla and the sundae punch should be mid to end of Oct. Then finally it will be the Dr’s turn as she is just starting to bud now, I suspect she will run till mid or late November. (Note all measurements are from The Sunday of each week even thou post is a few weeks late.) 1) Kali Mist 114” (+0”) - Clone (At ceiling) 2) Cherry Pie #2 114” (+0”) - Seed (At ceiling) 3) Dr. Grinspoon 114” (+0”) - Seed (At ceiling) 4) Grand Daddy Purp 88” (+0”) - Seed 5)Cherry Pie #1 88” (+0”) - Seed 6) Peyote Gorilla 80” (+0”) - Seed 7) Skywalker 64” (+0”) - Seed 8) Sundae Punch 56” (+0”) - Clone 9) Grapefruit 58” (+0”) - Clone 10) Frisian Duck 38” (+0”) - Clone Nothing new to report on garden up keep. Just more trimming, supporting of limbs and now harvesting! We are home now for a couple weeks, before one last weekend camping trip with the family for Canadian Thanksgiving Oct 9-12. I am hoping that now that summer is coming to an end, my social calendar will slow down and I’ll be able to give the plants the attention they need. See you next weekend, until then happy growing and harvesting!!

September 23rd 2020 - Harvest Day Kali Mist is a near pure Sativa, she was started as a clone and was always one of the biggest in the garden. She was also the first to flower starting in early Aug. Taking 8 weeks to reach maturity. Kali Mist was easy to grow and care for, she was tall and skinny with not a lot of leaf. In total she reached about 10 feet in height. I will update in a few weeks with dry weight and first smoke experience.

Week 21 - Sept 27 2020 Welcome growers We had a very exciting week, there is lots of big bud everywhere and we actually cut down our first harvest of the year. I have been pulling yellow leaves all week, trying to stay on top of things. The harvest of Kali Mist took place Wednesday Sept 23rd 2020, it took 3 of us approximately 4 hours to get her all trimmed up. Then I spent another hour hanging it and trimming off the smaller buds. I have smoked a bit of bud that I pre trimmed from her a week ago, it was obviously not full cured but it was very promising. We ended up with 4lbs 13 oz that we expect will dry down to hopefully 1 - 1.5 lbs. I have ended the feeding cycle for the GDP and the Sky walker as those are the next 2 to come down in roughly 1 - 2 weeks. Everyone else is getting the usual Big Bud, Bud Candy, and an addition of some Overdrive. As for growth this week, there is nothing to report, in fact some plants are actually measuring up shorter than last week as there heavy buds are weighting them down. I am also happy to report that the Dr. has finally decided to flower, and seems to be producing bud at a crazy pace. Lastly my GDP has a small powder mildew issue going on still, I have been giving it a 99% alcohol and water treatment which I believe is helping. I am going to stick with it for the next few weeks until harvest and if it’s not cleared up then I am afaraid I will have to preform a bud wash during harvest. 1) Kali Mist 114” (+0”) - Clone (At ceiling) 2) Cherry Pie #2 114” (+0”) - Seed (At ceiling) 3) Dr. Grinspoon 114” (+0”) - Seed (At ceiling) 4) Grand Daddy Purp 88” (+0”) - Seed 5)Cherry Pie #1 88” (+0”) - Seed 6) Peyote Gorilla 80” (+0”) - Seed 7) Skywalker 64” (+0”) - Seed 8) Sundae Punch 56” (+0”) - Clone 9) Grapefruit 58” (+0”) - Clone 10) Frisian Duck 38” (+0”) - Clone My plans this week are to continue to remove the yellowing leaves and even doing a bit of pre trimming on the next 2 that are coming down. I will continue to treat and monitor for powder mildew, and of course I will continue the curing process for the Kali Mist. On a sad note the “Farmhand” is temporarily out of action, she dislocated a rib during one of her workouts this week so she has been getting some much needed rest. Hopefully you will all get to see her back in the garden soon!

Oct 3rd 2020 - Harvest Date Skywalker was a relatively easy plant to trim, once all remaining broad leaf was removed, the buds trimmed of the branches with ease. I was a little bit disappointed with her overall size (just over 5 feet) however I did fire her late so that is on me. But still In comparison to my Dr and my GDP that were fired at the same time she seems a bit on the smaller side. I trimmed the main colas by hand then opted to try my new bowl trimmer. The trimmer was definitely a huge time saver, but at a cost, the nugs take a beating in there and under magnification you can see the amount of trichomes that are destroyed. I think I will continue to hand trim the larger branches and then will use the bowl trimmer for the lower branches. I had a quick taste of some bud I trimmed up a week and a half earlier, it was a nice smooth smoke with an earthy taste followed by a sweet finish. (I think the earthiness with subside as it fully cures) I will post a follow up report in a few weeks once she is fullly cured!!

Week 22 - Oct 4 2020 Hello fellow growers I am truly amazed at how quickly the garden is changing. Everyday the garden takes on a new appearance, the colder temps are really starting to bring out the purple colors. Most notably in the Peyote Gorilla and the Sundae Punch ( both will be coming down this week). I am suspending roughly 2 hrs a day in the garden pulling off yellow leaves and supporting branches that are starting to give way to the weight of the buds. As you can see I have harvested 2 of these fine ladies so far (Kali Mist and Skywalker) this has allowed me a little better access so I can actually get to the Grapefruit in the back corner. I am monitoring the trichomes daily and at this point I have plans to trim 2 (Peyote & Sundae) this week, then 4 more (Cherries, Grapefruit, GDP) will be coming down just after Canadian Thanksgiving. This will leave the Dr. And the Duck. Not sure what is going on with the Duck? She is not looking like I expected her too. Maybe this is due to the fact that she was left in a small pot too long which has obviously stunted her growth, but her flowers are vibrant green, with no hairs and a very modest amount of Trichomes. All the research i have done on her tells me she should have bright bright purple nugs, but I am not seeing any signs of that. The Dr. Is coming along nicely, she is really starting to flower and I think she will offer some big yields. She still has a few more weeks of flower before she will be ready. I am going to leave the Duck going with her to see how she turns out. Plans for this week are to continue to stay on top of yellowing leaves and to harvest the Peyote and the Sundae. The family is headed away this weekend for one last camping trip of the season to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving (going to attempt to smoke a bird in my Bradley Smoker, wish me luck!!) We are only about 30 - 40 minutes from home, so either my son or I will be making trips home to keep an eye on the garden while we are away. I am happy to report that the “Farmhand” is doing much better, there is still some discomfort but she is up on her feet and back to work this week. Hopefully we will see her around for the next harvest. In the mean time we edited and posted a few more pics from our Sept Camping trip!!! Enjoy!! I hope everyone is having some good harvests!!!

Oct 6th 2020 - Harvest Day I was very excited to get my hands on this girl as a clone, she was already topped when I got her, I did very little with her until week 2 of flowering when I removed a good majority of the smaller bud, not a full lollipop approach but similar. This is also the girl that fell over when she was little and got a very bad burn to a good portion of her growth. This was just as I was slowly getting them ready to move outdoors. She did however bounce back nicely and grew into a good size, manageable plant. During flowering you can really tell where she gets her name from, wow does she smell yummy!! Very very sweet, like a fruity dessert, I can’t wait to give her a try. I will report back with dry weight in about a week and a first taste in about 2 weeks.

Oct 6th 2020 - Harvest Day Peyote Gorilla was given to me as a seedling, a friend fired her but didn’t end up having space for her. She was very easy to grow requiring minimal attention. She grew to 80” and in the last few weeks of harvest turned very dark, her buds went dark green, her hairs turned brown and orange. And her leaves when dark green and purple with golden spots. She was very cool to photograph, I will add some of those pics just prior to harvest once I have a chance to get them off the camera. She developed nice sized hard nugs with a very earthy / diesel smell. It was a big contrast from the Sundae Punch that was harvested at the same time.

Week 23 - Oct 11 2020 Welcome fellow growers Well the additional week was just what was needed... I have 3 more plants ready to come down this week, and the “Farmhand” is good as new!! (well almost). With half of my crop harvested there is finally some room to get around in the greenhouse. The cold temps are continuing to bring out some very cool colors, and the buds are hardening up nicely. This week both of the Cherry Pies and the Grapefruit will be coming down. These are 3 of the bigger plants in the garden, I am expecting a pound + (dried) each one of them. It is going to be a lot of work, but the yield is going to be so worth it. All of my harvested bud is drying up nicely, I forgot to fluff and tend to my bin of sweet leaf and unfortunately it went moldy!! Will start to collect again with the remaining harvest, I’ll still have plenty for a batch of butter or oil. As mentioned this week will be spent harvesting and trimming off leaf. Vacationing is over for the time being, nothing planned for the next 2 months at least so I should have lots of time to finish my harvest and get all of this bud through a proper cure cycle. Canadian Thanksgiving was fantastic!! The whole gang went to Rock Point Provincial Park, we had some great weather and luckily the rain held off for packing up on Monday. It was my first time cooking a bird in a smoker, I was a little nervous she was cooking to fast so I turned her way down, maybe a touch to far, we didn’t end up hitting an internal temp of 165 till around 5 so dinner was delayed by a 1/2 hour but it was well worth the wait. The bird tasted awesome, it was nice and moist and had just the right amount of smoke flavor. We even got lucky as the kids all had to leave on Sunday the “Farmhand’s” boys went to their dads and my 2 went to their mothers for their turkey dinners, so we got a nice night to ourselves and you guys get some pics!! That’s a win win in my books!!! Till next week!!!

Oct 15th 2020 - Harvest Day Cherry Pie is one that I have been waiting for... so far based on her growth and yield I am not disappointed. I just hope she smokes as well as she grew. Both of these girls were started from seed, CP1 hit 88” and CP2 hit 114” (or the top of my greenhouse) I purposely treated these 2 very differently as a mini experiment to see how they would turn out. CP1 was topped in week 4 or 5, and CP2 was left to grow naturally, I also did a fair bit of defoliation on CP1. In the end I got 4 lbs 4 oz wet off CP1 and 3 lbs 11 oz on CP2. I am actually surprised by this as CP2 definitely looked like the bigger plant. However during harvest I noticed that the quality of Bud coming from CP1 was bigger and firmer, while CP2 had more small popcorn buds that felt a bit soft. I guess the scales never lie!! Harvest was also much quicker on CP1 as CP2 had a lot more leaf still on that needed to be trimmed. I will update in a few weeks once she is cured and I have given her a try.

Week 24 - Oct 18 2020 Harvest is going really well, I am just past the half way mark, 4 more ladies left to come down. My plan is to harvest the GDP and the Grapefruit this week. (Grapefruit was not listed on my grow list as I had 9 strains and was only allowed to enter 8, I will do a Harvest report for her in conjunction with next weeks post) The Duck has turned out to be a real disappointment, I take full blame, my efforts early on to give this gal a special place to grow was a mistake, once I finally decided to put her in the greenhouse she was severely stunted due to her pot size. In the end she hasn’t gotten over 3 feet and her buds are small, light and airy! The Dr is continuing to be a monster she is on roughly week 5 or 6 for flower, and still has 2-4 weeks. I am expecting to harvest her near the end of Nov. I have added a heater to my green house for the evenings just to help keep the frost away.

Oct 22nd 2020 - Harvest Day Grand Daddy Purple, was another strain that I have been looking forward to and purposely purchased for the garden. I have heard great things about this strain and her ability to aid with sleep. Unfortunately she was hit badly with Powdery Mildew, I was planning to take her down a couple weeks earlier, but decided to leave her till the rest were down as I didn’t want to disturbed the mildew and spread it around. When it was her turn I bagged her, chopped her at the stock and removed her from the greenhouse to be harvested. After harvest I preformed a bud wash (4 pails, 1st was hydrogen poroxide and water, 2nd was backing soda, lemon juice and water, 3rd was a warm water rinse and 4th was a cold water rinse) I think the wash did the trick, the bud all looks good, I will know for sure when I get a chance to give it a smoke. Update will follow once she cures properly

Week 25 - Oct 25 2020 And then there were 2.... GDP and Grapefruit came down last week, leaving the Duck and Dr. I didn’t have Grapefruit listed as a strain but have been reporting on it week to week. She grew very bushy like an Indica but is more of a hybrid split 70/30 Sativa/Indica. As she was tucked away in the back corner, I was unable to get to her easily for ongoing defoliation, when it came to harvest most of her branches had given up due to the massive colas. Unfortunately some ended up sitting in the dirt and a few other branches were also hit with the Powdery Mildew. In the end I salvaged all the main colas and any other nice buds and harvested those followed by a bud wash, the rest I simply cut down and tossed. I figure I lost upwards to a pound of this plant. The stuff that I was able to harvest and wash was just over a pound. I am hopping to get about 6 oz dry and figure I could have had a pound of dry bud if I would have kept everything. I’ve also decided to take the duck down this week, as mentioned last week, I am not expecting much, but I’ll harvest her anyway and see what I get in the end.

Week 26 - Nov 1 2020 Hey What’s up Doc!! I have to admit I like just having one plant to care for, it’s so much less stressful. The Dr. Is doing really really well, I am checking on her buds daily, but everything is still crystal clear. I figure I have at least 3 weeks left maybe even 4. I’ve never had a plant up into December but this may be the year. I have noticed some very faint signs of the powder mildew, but I was able to trim those leaves off and gave the rest of the plant a water/alcohol spray to try and knock it back. I think I may end up doing a bud wash on this gal just to be on the safe side. Will see how the next few weeks go.

Week 27 - Nov 8 2020 One more week and she doesn’t look any closer to harvest then she did last week. She is definitely bulking up, this group of larger colas is just ridiculous!! I was joking about a Dec harvest last week, but It looks to me like that may actually be a reality. The good news is the powder mildew issue seems to be under control. I will likely give her another water/alcohol spray this week just to be on the safe side. All of my harvested bud is now away in jars and curing nicely, I am slowly starting to give all of the strains a try, I will start to update my harvest posts for a taste and effect review now that everything is cured and jarred. Currently the Sundae Punch and the Cherry Pie are 2 of my favourites. Note - I am no longer feeding nutrients, I am into my flush cycle...

Week 28 Nov 15/20 Well she definitely had a good run.... but it’s time for her to come down. She has grown into a monster and will be taking the spot of highest yield for sure. I am expecting something in the 5 - 6 pound range wet and 2+ lbs dry. I will be doing the harvest on Wednesday.

This was another must grow for me this year. I have heard many good things about the Dr. But haven’t had a chance to grow her till now. She was fairly easy to grow, she took a little to get rooted and comfortable in the greenhouse, but once she settled in she steadily became one of the bigger growers week to week. She topped out hitting the green house roof at just over 10 feet. She was also the last to go into flower and after her 13 week cycle she was finally ready to come down in mid Nov.
