HDThoreau This isn't my first experience as a grower, but this is my first diary on this platform. Generally, the method I use is guerrilla growing, living in a country where cultivation is strictly prohibited. In this first diary, I want to describe the growing experience of a Dark Devil Auto in a small pot. I'm using a very small 1.3-liter pot. I've prepared a mix of excellent organic soil. Since the pot is small, I've tried to at least provide very fertile soil for the seedling. The mix was created by blending good universal soil (pH 6), worm humus (pH 7.2), and Plagron's batmix (pH 6-7). Each component is about one-third in volume. The idea is to grow the Dark Devil outdoors but with the help of a small 12W LED lamp placed very close to the seedling. I expose the seedling to the sun from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and for the remaining 12 hours, it has the support of the small lamp indoors. This way, I provide 24 hours of light a day to the little Dark Devil. Being an autoflowering variety, I try to give it the maximum light and nutrients from the start, considering that it will have to complete its entire cycle in a pot of only 1.3 liters in volume. In the meantime, in this first week, it seems that the little Dark Devil is very happy and full of life.

HDThoreau In this second week, I reduced the light hours from 24 to 20 a day. I set the timer for the small LED lamp from 4 AM to midnight, but I move the little plant into the sun for the usual 12 hours from 8 AM to 8 PM. For now, the little Dark Devil is growing well and shows no signs of nutritional deficiency, which means that the soil I prepared is fertile and suitable for the first stage of growth. However, I believe that starting next week, I will begin to supplement the feeding with some homemade organic fertilizer. Watering is done just enough to keep the soil at the right moisture level. The plant shows vigorous and robust growth. The color of the leaves is a nice deep green, a sign that the plant is doing well and responding positively to the care it receives. I am very confident.

HDThoreau Another week has passed and the little Dark Devil is growing happy and vigorous. Throughout the week, I fed the plant with a homemade organic fertilizer made from chicken manure, rich in nitrogen and phosphorus. The fertilizer smells terrible but seems to work great. Right from the start, the plant reacted very well, significantly increasing its mass. It shows no signs of deficiency; on the contrary, it looks beautiful and has a nice green color. At some apical points of the plant, pre-flowers have appeared, a sign that the vegetative phase is about to end and the plant is getting ready to enter flowering. Next week will probably be the last week of vegetative growth. For this reason, I've decided to provide an organic fertilizer with a balanced NPK macronutrient content and rich in micronutrients for the entire next week. Additionally, starting from the beginning of next week, I will apply the LST method and defoliation to prepare the plant for the next flowering phase. This week, the light management has remained the same, with part (12 hours) of sunlight and another part (8 hours) with the support of the small 12W LED lamp. For a total of 20 hours of light and 4 hours of darkness daily. I will continue to maintain the same setup for the rest of the plant's life cycle. Unfortunately, bad weather is expected this week. Let's hope for the best.

HDThoreau I wish the vegetative phase could have lasted another week. But the little Dark Devil doesn't share the same opinion. Right after the pre-flowers appeared, the plant incredibly accelerated its flower production. During this fourth week, the plant has burst into the flowering stage. I've never seen a cannabis plant grow and develop so quickly. The little Dark Devil is eager to bloom and complete its cycle fast. It's a true speed champion! Overall, the plant is doing very well. It has a nice developed stem and a deep green color that's quickly changing to purple. The flowers are already dark too. At the beginning of this fourth week, I bent the plant to one side and removed a couple of small branches that wouldn't receive much light, and I took off a couple of large leaves. Now the plant has a more open structure with four main branches focused on flower production. I've fed the plant with some balanced fertilizer and will continue using the same fertilizer for a while longer, supplementing it with something more specific for flowering. Beautiful plant ❤️ 🌱

HDThoreau Another week has passed and the little Dark Devil keeps growing and flowering. Unfortunately, I noticed at the beginning of the week that the older leaves are drying out. I think it's due to a lack of potassium. Maybe as it transitions into the flowering stage, its macro nutrient needs have changed, and with such a small pot, a deficiency occurred right away. Fortunately, I was already preparing some compost tea enriched with dried banana peels to provide the plant with all the beneficial microorganisms for the roots. Midweek, I administered the compost tea mixed with TNT Complex fertilizer. I also used the compost tea as a foliar fertilizer. Overall, the plant seems to really appreciate the care. The flower production is going great, and the plant is changing color from green to purple. The flowers are rapidly increasing in volume and have beautiful shades ranging from black to purple.

HDThoreau Unfortunately, the older leaves keep drying out. However, the flowering is going very well. It's the first time I'm growing in such a small pot, and I think the plant needs more nutrients than usual. I believe the plant is pulling macro nutrients from the older leaves to compensate for some kind of deficiency. This week, however, I've fed the plant quite well with specific products for this stage. The flowers have a very beautiful color and emit a very nice scent. The smell is very sweet and fruity but at the same time fresh and exotic. I can't wait to taste it!

HDThoreau Looking at the plant's conditions, I believe the next week will be the last week of life for the little Dark Devil. This week, the plant has significantly increased the volume of the flowers. However, I think it has now reached the peak of its development. All the leaves are starting to dry out, the pistils are turning orange, and the trichomes are all white. Clear signs that the flowering phase has reached its peak and there will soon be a decline. Throughout the week, I continued to feed the plant with generous doses of organic fertilizers. However, during the next week, I will only provide the plant with water to thoroughly flush the roots and avoid salt build-up that could compromise the aromas and fragrances of the flowers. Everything is going wonderfully, then. The little Dark Devil is almost ready! 😋

HDThoreau Eighth and final week. The little Dark Devil has become a lovely young lady. I almost feel bad about cutting her down. I haven't provided any type of fertilizer all week, just plenty of water. The buds are very sticky and emit a fantastic aroma. Fruity and floral notes are clearly noticeable. Very inviting!

Happy Harvest Day!

HDThoreau I wish the yield had been more than just 9 grams. I’ll need to improve something in my micro-growing management. Still, I feel satisfied with the result. The harvest is small, but the quality is excellent. That's exactly why I wish I had more available.
