Still in seedling stage. Very happy so far under two 3ft t5 fluorescence. Misting soil once per day with mineral water, but will water top up in the next week once first true leaves fully develop.
Transitioned plants over to HPS @ 50% and watered with light dose of nutrients and microbes and reduced light schedule to 18/6. All 3 Acapulco gold look extremely healthy. Looking forward to finding the perfect mother plant :)
Transplanted 2 Acapulco gold to 3 Gal Hercules Air Pots and 1 to a 7 Gal Felt Air Pot in blend of ProMix HP, Extra Perlite, Organic Earth Worm Castings, and Dolomite Lime.
Topped both tops on Acapulco Gold in 7 Gal Felt Pot. Transplanted Acapulco Gold (X2) from 3 Gal to 9 Gal Hercules Air Pots. Foliar sprayed w/ 2.5ml Thrive Alive B-1.
Both plants transplanted showed little to no signs of shock and today they almost immediately perked up at lights on. Fed straight water (slight N def - claw). Took cuttings from Acapulco Gold (#1 & #2). Foliar sprayed 2.5ml/L Thrive Alive B-1. Leaf stripped all large fan leaves (lollipopped) right before flip to 12/12 on last day of the week.
Foliar sprayed 1ml/L Nirvana first day of 12/12. Foliar sprayed 7.5ml/L Optic Foliar Transport & 2.5ml/L Thrive Alive B-1 with lights on twice more during the week.
Plants filling in beautifully and have a terrific structure. I can't wait to see what these are going to yield. I would bet that the larger topped plant will yield 1/3 more than the untouched one, but only time will tell. Either way all 3 plants look very happy.
Stripped all mature fan leaves on Day 15 with the exception of the top 2 sets. Final stretch appears to have ended and all 3 Acapulco Gold plants look extremely happy and responded very well to leaf strip not missing a beat.
Buds are starting noticeably fatten up more and more daily and calyxes are extremely swollen showing the footprint for some very phat colas! The smell is now becoming very potent with the beautiful aroma that is distinct to Acapulco Gold. :)
Starting to see warmer temps outside so its been a challenge keeping the temps a little cooler (23-24C), but still managing to keep temps between 24-25.5C after turning left hand 1000W HPS down to 50% (38,000-62,000 lux). Otherwise buds are continuing to develop and fill out nicely and the smell hits hard when you first open the tent up! :)
Does anyone have any experience using Advanced Nutrients Flawless Finish for flushing when using organic nutrients? Have you been happy with the results? Any loss in terpene/flavor profile? I'm currently growing Acapulco Gold (Barney's) using Advanced Nutrients full organic line.
No need for a flushing agent unless ur trying to do it in a hurry. I've never had a negative impact with flawless finish. But only use it when a pheno catches me off guard with its ripening speed. I say overpriced garbage imo. Much cheaper just effective flushing agents out there. An has too much mark up on that particular product. Nothing special about it. Happy growing and stay lit fam.
All 3 plants starting to noticeably pack on weight. Found one of my Pineapple Chunk plants that finished super early had hermied right before it finished and I think it may have pollinated my other plants. :( Hopefully I caught it early enough, but like I said all of the other plants still appear to be packing on bud/weight with lots of white hairs. Will start to dial back nutrients at the end of the week and start watching trichomes next week to get an idea of how many weeks are left before harvest. I'm predicting another 3-4 weeks.

Feeding blackstrap molasses with water @ 2 tbsp/Gal. Added UVB above LH Front Acapulco Gold (4 Hrs/night) towards the end of the week. Ladies are looking nice and PHAT!!
UVB above LH Front Acapulco Gold (4hrs per day). Buds continue to fatten up and the trichomes are just glistening. Will start to monitor more closely for trichome cloudiness next week, but at a glance I figure at least 2 weeks until harvest.
