Experienced a spike in pH midweek so had to bring that back down. This could be why there was not much growth compared to other plants. However, she did not show any signs of distress
Had a difficult time maintaining the pH this week kept Rising above 8. Try to lower it with vinegar which helped but only temporarily. Finally was able to get it to stabilize at 6.2 with pH Down. I think this is the reason for the slow growth both a top and with the roots
The middle of week 4 ended up being pretty bad. Started seeing Brown roots and developed slimy Gunk on them. I was devastated. I did a complete res change and added hydroguard. The next day while checking on her I noticed the hydroguard was like a steroid for the slime and she was leaned all the way over and drooping. In an attempt to save her I added 5 ml of bleach to the res. Again I'm a first-time grower and I was reading a lot of stuff and I figured I would just kill all the bacteria even the beneficial. She didn't like the bleach water very well continued drooping. Ended up changing water completely and lowering PPM from 860 to about 580 The next morning she showed clear signs of improvement she wasn't drooping as much and she was starting to straighten up. Each day that has passed she has improved and this is what she looks like at the moment. My poor baby went through a bad week. Cut back on all the organic stuff and for now will be running a sterile dwc.
Also I forgot to mention above that my AC had gone out while I was at work and so they were in a grow tent and the temperature reached 97 degrees which is what I believe contributed to the bacterial growth in the water. This affected all five of the strains.
