Alot of work went into the girl this week with her starting 12/12 & also some pretty heavy defoliation & more LST
My LST goal is to try & get the side branches relatively level. I'm pretty happy so far with all trained branches responding within a day or two & she now has some cool bends that add to her visual aesthetic.
Defoliation wise I took off most of the old massive lower fan leaves & slowly worked my way up to get rid of anything blocking light over the course of 4 days to not stress her too much. I was worried I went abit overboard but after 3 days she looks super healthy.
Few minor pest issues this week as one morning in the tent I noticed overnight that there was a few leaves getting munched by either thrips or a lil caterpillar. Most likely a day time hanger oner from her days outside in the vege patch. A few sprays of Eco Oil (Neem) over the leaves seemed to do the trick with no further leaf damage.
Otherwise apart from being a slow lady she's coming along. It's likely the fact I'm growing through winter is slowing her down a touch too & it gets pretty chilly at night + has been pretty wet this week.
Looking forward to some more bud site development this week as she is responding well to Bloom nutes.
Thanks for reading!
Bit of a newbie question. I'm just starting to show signs of flowering & I've been using Professors Nutrients Part A + B to feed.
I'm about to start using Flower Boost , Professors Organic Bloom & Terpene Gold. Do I just use the later 3? Or do I use Part A + B plus the 3 others?
P.S.
If you want to you can opt for dropping the A and the B once you're into the flowering phase and stick with just the bloom, boost, gold. You might end up wanting to do that just to eliminate having to use so many different bottles and really those 3 have basically everything you need for the flowering phase..... vegetative phase not.
Happy growing.
I cant help to see that you have a 12/12 schedule while flowering. This is for photoperiod plants.. Autoflowers are fine with 18/6 20/4 or even 24/0. (Right) light is weight :)
@Deceptive, I’m having a similar issue I think. Most grows of this strain are seed to harvest in 11 weeks... but I’m on week 7 and no flower. Do you think the plant was a photoperiod? I’m wondering if I need to flip my lights...
Hello fellow grower,
Newbie Gardner here!
Just saw your pictures and diary and to be honest got really excited about this strain. We are now kicking off the 4th week, full flowering stage and I was a bit disappointed because the stems are so distant ones from anothers. I'm more used to bushy flowers however seeing yours just got my hope back on track. Keep on the brilliant work there.
Happy growing 👌🏻🙏
@Cgrow, Thanks! Mine got super leafy & lush just before flowering & it looks like they might "bush up" in your case. I'm jealous yours flowered so early, they look super healthy, good work!
Mines been the slow & steady, not like a normal Autoflower. But hopefully the extra grow time equates to a bigger yield!
Good luck with the rest of your grow
