Grow Diary #1 - "Quick One" RQS

Well that was anything but Quick! I bought this particular seed based on the name, but the Ruderalis genetics didn't kick in for me turning it into more of a slow one. However I had a lot of fun & being a novice grower it taught me a whole lot from start to finish & I'll be able to transfer that knowledge to future grows. I had a range of issues from early on including not feeding correctly as I was used to growing in soil vs coco, budrot in the later days, overwatering, broken stems, mould inside 1 stem, a late repotting, fungus gnats, high humidity & probably way more defoliation than was needed. So with all these thrashings she took I'm glad I ended up with anything at all ha! Onto the positives though, she was hardy to the things I put her through & responded beautifully to LST & ended up with a nice round shape. In my last week of flower I had to unfortunately cut her down slightly earlier than I had wanted too due to me discovering 1 cracked stem with signs of mould in the internode & also budrot on another cola. So she wasn't as plump & yellowed due to flushing but it was better than losing anymore bud so late in the game. But after such a long time it was nice to see her come down. Trimming went well with 26.5g of leaf / mini buds being set aside for edibles & the main buds being rigged up with skewers through the stems to dry in my makeshift dry box (my vintage steriogram ha). Drying took around 5-6 days leaving me with 32.5g of gorgeous, fluffy buds. It's been my biggest yield to date so I'm pretty happy with those results. They've now been set aside in 3 jars with humidity regulators to cure & I am really looking forward to the first cured taste test! Now that's not to say I haven't tasted it already 😏 In summary I am happy with yeilding just over an Ounce & look forward to growing my remaining seed of this strain in the near future & hoping it responds as an Auto!
