Well, I believe the plant is on its last legs. The leaves are almost completely gone and destroyed, but the stem is still strong. It may re-veg and flower in a month’s time but realistically it will not.
It should be half way through flower, with the specified time scale but it’s growth was too stunted by rabbits, insects, neem oil and some very wet and cloudy weather recently.
If I have any advice for anyone growing guerrilla; it would be don’t sacrifice protection of the plants for surreptitiousness. I tried to make the grow area as covert as possible, but the real threat was from Mother Nature.
So planning and research is needed when growing in an uncontrolled environment, the animals and insects really do love the taste of the plants, plus with growth boosters it must make them a better source of nutrition. The area I grew in was quite dense in vegetation and they went exclusively for my plants and chamomile seedling which I planted as well.
The neem oil killed the plant as the concentration was way too high, I know this as I tested it on my tomatoe plant by a light spray, the result was a burning on the leaves.
I believe protecting the plants in netting then covering with high concentration will detract insects and not destroy the plants.
This will be my last post unless by some miracle the plant revitalises. Otherwise ✌️
Any advice for protecting the plant from getting eaten by insects? I think it is small flys I have found on the leaves. I would rather not use chemical pesticides.
Neem oil is an organic pesticide made from a plant. I use it as do many other growers. Just don't use it last 4 weeks of flower. You can plant marigolds around your crop to help deter alot of pests. And 🐞 are a great pest predators!! Happy Growing! 👊
Update: Went to the crop, and the situation is worse some leaves have now been eaten off. Ive ordered some neem oil, but read that soapy water is also a solution, so using that in the meantime😬
