8/16 WIND STORM IN 90 PLUS HEAT WAVE; GUSTS BLEW TWO MORE PLANTS OVER. Never again let them get over 6 feet! Top and top and top or fim but these Girl Scout Cookie's are the most aggressive growing cannabis plant I've grown. Lower defoliation leaves most finished flowers over my head and the plant top heavy. Thank God there's still some virgin plants though this heat wave concerns me. I'm feeding aloe vera juice with my water and misting in the AM with Kelp extract while the GSC's were top dressed with Cavern Culture (for FRUIT EATING BATS GUANO) Sea Bird Guano and worm castings. Given just before the heat wave. During which it Aloe Vera juice in the water only (a cup a gallon). Probably lost 4 to 6 OZ's of finished flowers in these broken off branches. Any use?? Are the tricomes of these YOUNG but voluptuous flowers worth a dry ice encounter?? Please God let this HEAT/WIND STORM be my "problem of the season" and let my grow flourish through to harvest. I've worked hard every day since 3/21 to make my charges as comfortable as I could. May my efforts, like all the hard working farmers on this site, be rewarded with bountiful and powerful harvests. Amen God is a member isn't he/she? I'm lost... I came to make a new entry but this last entry seems to be stuck/ won't save. Are we just to dump new entries on top of the last one? (in terms of the "week comment" section) Well, I decided to copy the first of my personal log entries into here with only a few changes to help clarify. HEAT WAVE MID AUGUST! ALOE VERA JUICE IN THE FEED WATER AND FOLIAR (AND EVERYTHING ELSE I'M DOING TO FIGHT THE HEAT/WIND SoCal is experiencing now.) "combining humic acid supplements with seaweed kelp extract actually increases the overall effectiveness of both supplements." Nebula Haze from growweedeasy.com Effect of Foliar Application with Aloe Leaf Extract (ALE) on ... “Generally, the obtained results demonstrated that, spraying basil plants with Aloe vera extract, active dry yeast and its combinations resulted in a stimulation in growth characters in term of plant elongation, branching and fresh herb as well as the biomass of leaves and stems and dry matter production.” www.researchgate.net › publication › 324702377_Effect_ 8/15 HEAT SPELL IS SUPPOSED TO LAST ALL WEEK Temps in the 90’s, not yet 100’s! and supposed to stay for over a week. GOOD THING I discovered aloe vera. Research proves it’s effect at helping the roots absorb more (yes more water, but a cooler plant is a healthier plant) Mr Big (8’ GSC) was blown over in the wind. (LESSON LERNED TO KEEP PLANT HEIGHT WITHIN THE POTS STABILITY LIMIT) A big beautiful branch broke and I had to cut it off, see pic of "centerpiece" of baby flowers. MOVED ALL PLANTS INTO THE A.M. DARK CORNER OF THE YARD (sout east corner) AND POSITIONED THE UMBRELLA TO BLOCK THE AFTERNOON SUN. I will also spray regularly on the pots to keep them cool while being careful not to get water on the leaves. I’m giving “partial waterings” to keep soil cool but not wet. Finally, I will do yet another Kelp/aloe misting before sun up tomorrow. SO FAR NO WILTING!! It’s all I can think to do, how about you? AND Lesson learned!! I can't let plants get over twice the height of my planters again. I will have to top/fim more than twice. (yes that monstor was topped AND fimmed but too late it grew so explosively my marveling at the monster made me lose control over it. OH WELL it only lost one branch and I don't see much other damage other than the little ? plant it crushed when it fell in a wind gust.

go back to that diary and at top there's an "edit week" button. you can change everything as you want. to remove a diary, you can click the "settings" button all the way at top and "edit diary" - can remove the whole thing, if you want to, but can also change title or the few parameters we set when we start a diary - lights, grow area etc... Hope you stick around :) Lots of people grow outside here. Sorry, I am not one. My backyard gets ~4 hours of light, but plenty of other people that do to bounce ideas off or whatever.

Is there a way to "merge:" my two pages? They are the same grow, just my rookie mistake. Is there a directions section? I've just been winging it.

Admin: Why can't I put a new week in? I spend the time typing all my activities and am told I have a duplicate week or something and I'm stuck now so looks like todays hour was waisted. press for a new week but it then reverts back no matter what I do.

Instead of going to "Add week" try clicking on the gray "Week 8" tab. Then upload a photo and type any random word and hit submit. If the weeks sticks, you can just go into "Edit Week" and add more photos and comments as you like. I update my journal almost daily so I have no issues.

I wash cut branches in a water with hydrogen peroxide blend at about a tablespoon per gallon at harvest. Then hang to dry outside till dry to the touch then moved to the drying room before moving to the wine cellar for curing. How much HP do others use? Is this enough?
