This is the July 13th update: So far Indoors is doing much better than outdoors. I expect a much more significant yield from the indoor ladies. I do see more trichome development on the outdoor girls, but the bud development is kind of loose and airy. I hope they taste good!

Bugs have been nibbling on my outdoor ladies. I'm looking for tips/suggestions for controlling bugs organically/naturally. I am growing Basil, Chives, Oregano and Spearmint around the ladies in an effort to help deter bugs. But that's not working as well as I had hoped.

I was out in the garden tending to my ladies and came across a couple of spiders. I know spiders are supposed to eat other bugs, but that also involves a spider web. So, my question is should I leave the spiders alone? Or should I kill them as I find them, like other bugs?

Hey Dude.......nice to see you doing updates here!!! Also take a look at Plant Therapy from Lost Coast........they are out of the US right now........amazing product........a number of growers in your province are loving it as well. It is all natural and Dirk will taste the mixture to make sure it is correct. Doesn’t matter the plants age, lights on or off, its pretty amazing. Aphids, thrips, mights.......gets them all!!!! Cheers Dude!!

@PrairieFrostGrow, My only concern from checking out their website is the product is not OMRI certified. I ordered the Doctor Zymes Eliminator sample. It should be here any day. I’m going to see if that works first. But I’m still curious about Plant Therapy

Great ladies !! Of course, in the outdoor the amount of light does not depend on the grower, but the light spectrum is higher than any lamps and boards. Nice start !!! The best finish for you. good luck

@Djek2018, I saw this bending technique on YouTube a few years ago. I looked for the link, but I can't find it anymore. I've tried it in the past and it definitely helps improve the bud production on the lower branches. I'd recommend trying it sometime. 👍

@DudeGrowsWeed,The first time I see such an original training is LST. I'll take a note.

@Djek2018, Thanks! I was expecting the power of the sun to help the outdoor girls exceed the growth of the indoor girls. But so far that has not been the case. I'm working on adding a new week now. It should be up in an hour or so (depending on how much work pops up while I'm updating the diary) 😉

It's been some time since you posted some diary Dude. Nice to have you back. As for your bug issue, see if you can get some ladybugs

@@Athos, Its good to be back. How have you been? I've been through 1000's of lady bugs and they don't seem to do much with spider mites. However, I just had a successful harvest (without any diaries) since moving my tent from the attic to the basement. I also nuked the tent with a variety of bug killers before starting any plants. I feel fairly confident I'm bug free at the moment and like the idea of using other plants to keep bugs away.
