Seems to be coming along, my timeline is forward one week, I made a mistake but can’t be bothered going back to fix it. So this is mid week 7, 54 days.
Buds are starting to fill out now and get nice and frosty, at the weekend I defoliate all the lower nodes and really went all Britney on her. It was amazing how much came off. I also had to make enough room for the twins to get some light as the start to grow. I’ve cut her nuits to flower only and a half dose of calmag. I’m also mixing 1 ltr of nuits to .5 of water. At the end of the week I will flush her and put her on water only for the last week. Some of the pistils are starting to turn brown.
So last week I began to flush Sprouty, she’s had nothing but water for 5 days and in another 5 I’ll harvest. The pistils are all starting to change to Andre now and expect she’ll be good to go buy what will be the end of week 10. I kept her on flowering nuits to try to fatten her buds up a little as they are still quit air but with two young‘ens growing fast I will need the space by the end of this week. Will see how they weigh in next week
She had a full ten weeks but to be honest the buds were really airy, they needed another two weeks on nuits to fill out. But I had to make way for her two sisters which I hope to give more time too. Wet weight on the scales was 90 grams but here was a lot of stem end I didn’t trim her all the way back imo. Will see what sits on the scales after they dry. I’d be very happy with an ounce (28 grams) of actual bud. But we’ll see. No I can focus my attention on dolly and daisy, the twins.
Just a brief update on this harvest. Given I haven’t smoked for some time it’s not surprising that this blew my doors off first try. After a few goes I’m more used to it now and it’s a good relaxing yet mildly energetic high. Great for watching a comedy film or chilling in the garden. I infused some Vodka with with all the trimmings and stems which is a great use for that stuff and by god is it strong. I must of put at least an ounce of trim in the oven at 100•c for an hour 20 mins then bottled it with a litre of vodka and it returned 800ml of dark green rocket fuel. Highly recommend it.
Must say I'm impressed with the amount of nutrients given in this grow. I'm also growing 2 easy buds in a 90x90x180 tent however mines are not that big. I have been training the main stem to grow in a round shape. Nevertheless, I was afraid of overfeeding my plants, therefore I've been giving the 1ml/litre as stated by biobizz. Have you had any problems such as lockouts or anything? That's impressive. I think I will be following your feeding schedule and see how it goes. Following this grow.
Happy growing.
@Cgrow, hi there. Thanks for the comment. The only problems I’ve had so far were some curling of the leaves because I neglected to set the temperature on my space heater correctly and a timing bit of nuit burn early on which I’ve just spotted a bit of on my next grow. I just flushed sprouty the first time around for the nuit burn and watered the mix down for a day or two after. My easy bud was quite squat to begin with but around week 7 she took off and grew from about 50cm to 65-70 in a space of a week. I had topped her once about node 5 and we’re LST- ing the branches outwards the whole time to try to keep her canopy flat. One or two are higher now but she has something like 25 bud sites and I didn’t feel comfortable removing the smaller ones once she started to flower which maybe I should have with hindsight.
Good luck and happy growing
So this is my first grow, not sure how its going as I have nothing to compare it to, but she has around 8 main budsites and 25 in total, all about the size of my thumb to the first knuckle. Pretty much all of my set up is done DIY. Growing Coco Coir, using mainly BioBizz nutes. I also have a couple new sprouts a few days old, Hulkberry Autos, will add a new entry for them.
