RQS Shogun and Green Gelato

Hello, first seeds 36 hours in water. Then put them in Coco pads to come out until they reach 3/5 cm . 5 days and then put them in 15 liter containers looking forward to this new strains never had them and they are relatively new and i always have good results with Royal Queen Seeds.

Well not much to say in the beginning. All is going normal in a few days i will let the 2 strongest plants grow till the end.

These 4 baby’s will grow till harvest. Took the 2 least looking away and these 4 will be the selection. Looks like the are growing nice and developing good and looking healthy although it's getting hot inside the tent up to 28C . But that's what you get in summer :-)

hey , Today i fimmed the 4 plants and now i will let them veg for another week so they can recupe from this. Then i will put them in flowering because i don't want the plant to get to big. the plants are doing very well and looks like good steady genetics. Only problem is the heat but i can hold it to about 28 C have had worse circumstances. Till next week ,

Well gave them a week to recupe from topping/fimming and from today they will be put on 12/12 regime to start flowering. Looking forward to see the first signs of flower next week. the plant are looking good and growing fine but i don't want them to grow to high. So the base for flowering looks good.

First week of flowering went very well. Looks like a lot of bud's will grow and it's a nice and even garden.

Well, the shogun is starting to stretch but I don't want it to get higher. So I'm leaving the light where it is and if he keeps stretching I will super crop them to stay this height. If they stretch too much the garden will be too small as it already is so small in the first place. At the end of the week, I will pinch all the buds to have bigger and fatter buds (Budswelling) In my previous diary's I did some tests with bud swelling and it works you will get better harvests and denser buds with it especially if it's a Sativa plant. So I'm not talking about it anymore bud I did my own little study and I stand by it that it makes a difference. You will get denser Buds and bigger buds. Some of the results : C. The plant keep growing so I snapped some again because otherwise, they are getting too big. I also took away some leaves so the lights can get to lower flowers also. hope they stop growing now will do the Budswelling next week because i took to many leaves of so let her recupe for a week.

the tent is getting crowded. Think i need to get rid of some leaves this week when i have the time. All is looking good and a lot of buds are forming so not much more to say.

All is looking good the growth is under control and not stretching anymore and now the buds can fatten nicely. Looks like this will be a good harvest with some nice looking buds developing. The only problem will be to keep the temperature down to a reasonable level because here a heatwave is coming the next days. So this will be stressing them a bit so I hope I can keep it under 30 degrees C.

First of all, I started to use my old camera again to take pics of the plants and I take them with the lights off and with flash so you get a better view of the colors. Well as you think all is going very well there is a heatwave and I also found out I have an aphid infection Damn!! So 2 days ago I sprayed my plants with a biological pest killer hopefully this does the job. Also giving my plats Garlic extract so the plant does not taste to good for the bugs. The plants are developing well beside the infestation so i hope this will not affect the growth too much because looks like a lot of nice buds are showing.

Still aphids on my shogun plants and strange but almost nothing on my Green gelato? Sprayed for a second time with biological spray to get rid of them. Besides that, most of the buds look very good so I hope i can keep the plants going without to much trouble from the aphids, and hopefully the problem is gone. Start giving Advance nutrient overdrive to fatten the buds I guess 3/4 weeks before harvest time. Looking forward.

Well i'm facing a big problem !! Next week on Thursday i'm leaving for 6 days so the plants need to be ready to harvest before i leave. So last week i put the plants on 10/14 hour light shedule to speed up the flowering time. I was looking for a solution how i could have the plants survive for 6 days without me at home but 6 days is impossible not to give them water so i think they will die when i get home. So i think i will harvest them a bit to soon just to be sure i will still have weed. Such a shame i can't let them grow to full potential :-( On the Photo's you see the effect of the aphids attack some of the leaves were a lot of aphids were are going yellow. I sprayed the plats 2 times with biological spray to kill them but it does not seem i got all of them. Strange that the Shogun in infected but the green gelato is not affected ? strange?

ok this week i put her on a 8/16 light shedule to get her ready to harvest because friday im leaving fo a week. So tomorrow i will cut her down and let her dry so by next week when i'm back i can give you the wet and dry results of this grow. It won't be my biggest yield but i'm forcing the plant to be ready very fast. the last 3 days i'm giving it plain water . Till next week.

well, it's not a great harvest because I needed to cut them before I wanted. But I was going on a Holliday so I could not leave the plant alone for 7 days but hey well as long as the smoke is good I'm happy.
