This week I decided that I have over feed them and let the PH get all out of whack... Most of the nuets were left in the res so i added 2.5 Gallons to cut it. The feed should have been about halved. I have closely monitored the PH and it has stayed on track most of the week and the pots have dropped to a 6.2ish Leaves continue to yellow and fall off. New growth is happening though and besides the third plant I would really like to stick things out. I think PH is under control. I think yellowing is slowing. I've been pulling about 5-6 yellow leaves off a day. The bottom 2 plants look pretty good, but the top two might need to retire. Hoping a fresh dose of feed will put some pep in their step... i dont know if i can expect much more growth at this point, just budding. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Wondering about LST. I tried it this week. Its "outgrown" it. I wonder if I tie down the new growth and continue it horizontal? or move the tie down further up the plant to the end? I'm worried that on 2 trees I just "slanted" them and its not really a 90ish angle, is that ok?

Why do the leaves look like this tight yellowish leaves instead of broad emerald leaves? I think i over watered last week worried about Autopots but my tent is also a bit warm. running 80-85ish. Just wondered what you experts think

Hey Growmie, this is one of the classic signs of cannabis magnesium deficiency. You may also see red stems. If you don’t react to it promptly, a cannabis magnesium deficiency can spiral out of control and cause your plant to lose a lot of lower leaves quickly. The plant will pull magnesium out of older leaves and bring them to the newer leaves. That’s why a magnesium deficiency usually appears towards the bottom of the plant and on older, less important leaves. The edges of the leaves may become yellow or bright green and may start feeling crispy to the touch. This crispiness around the edges is different from nutrient burn, which does not lighten the margins inside the leaves. Often with this deficiency, the magnesium is present, but the roots cannot absorb the magnesium properly due to an improper pH. The way you fix this is to flush your plant with clean, pH’d water that contains a regular dose of cannabis-friendly nutrients that includes magnesium. This will remove any nutrient salts that may be affected by the uptake of magnesium and help restore pH to the proper levels. Hopefully, this was helpful and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time"

The leaves are pretty paperish in texture and the tips are browning. Any thoughts? These plants have had a rough rookie grow

your plant is almost done with its life cycle, your leaves will start turning brown and dying and falling off, it looks like you should start a water flush until you chop her in about a week and a half. dont worry about saving the leaves, you smoke the bud and that is what matters right now

@MrHightimes, I'm ph paranoid too...ive had a couple pens go bad on me or be off by a whole point and really mess up some grows.

@Experimentgreen, I have a couple calibration packets i check the meter off of every time, and then i use the drops to check reservoir before hooking it back up. soooo paranoid about PH. and apparently Still wasn't cautious enough. but now i know to check auto-pots themselves at least till i know what i can count on!

That was a great journal. And quite the testimonial on the importance of a shot glass, a terminal flat head and that green 7.0 sitting by your feed station!

Since you’ve been giving me so much love today, I thought I’d reciprocate and check your diaries out too. I must say that I see a lot of differences in our first attempts! You had a small, but beautiful plant, and mine was a giant beast of a beautiful plant. Either way is good! My biggest lesson learned from my first grow was to not let it get so big in the vegetative stage! I’ve been looking at a lot of “single plant” diaries to see what a normal harvest should be… so far I haven’t found any that have more than 7.79 ounces from a single plant. The coolest thing about growing, is that size has no bearing on quality as long as it’s grown with love. Bravo!
