This will be the first Sativa I try to grow, so LST will be a must. I'm not too worried about getting a heavy yield, so I'm going to try to bonsai her or keep her as small as possible while still being healthy.

Having some issues with algae growing on the surface of the coco, so i'll start lightly spraying the surface with a 0.3% H2O2 solution. Other than that, couldn't be happier with how she's growing.

Just finishing up with the light seedling nutrient schedule and will be moving to veg nutrients this next week. She had a ton of new growth this past week, but I now need to start thinking of training. I've seen this strain grown before, and she can get pretty tall, a lot taller than my 5' high tent, so I think a mix of topping/LST will my best bet at keeping her height to a minimum.

Started to LST this week. She now is at about a 45 degree angle from the coco coir, so hopefully those lower branches that are starting to pop out will get some light. Plan is to top her sometime this upcoming week.

Still continuing with LST by making small adjustments to the plastic twine daily to keep her as low as I can. She's only about 17 cm from the medium, but would be close to 30 cm if no LST was performed. She was topped early this week, and seems to have recovered just fine since then. I'll likely top her once more before moving to 12-12, but I'll see how she looks after next week before I put her under the knife again.

I really started making use of ScrOG this past week and she seems to be responding well to it. Still deciding if I should flip the lights to 12-12 before my next entry or wait another week to flatten out the canopy. With the size of my tent, I can only really max out at a height of 3', so I'll likely do the flip within the next couple days.

I ordered a TDS meter back in February, and it finally arrived this week. Bad news is TDS reading in my run off came out around 1500 ppm, when I was feeding her between 700-800 ppm. Because of this, I diluted my feeding solution by half for this week. At the end of the week I was still coming out with ~1100 ppm, so there's some progress. I've tried to avoid flushing because I can only add around 2-3L to my gravity drain reservoir and my pot size is 5 gallons. If I want to do a proper flush, it'll take almost an entire day of refilling the reservoir and dumping the drain pan. No signs of pistils yet, but I should be able to see the sex sometime in this coming week!

Wow, she shot up 1/2 a foot in just the last week! The first pistils finally came out on day 55 from seed, nearly 2 weeks after flipping to 12-12. I'm still getting some high readings on my TDS from the run off, so I'm going with 1/2 strength of my nutrient solution this week. Still some signs of nutrient burn, but a big improvement from earlier.

Still diluting my nutrients by about half, and this is the first time I'm not seeing nutrient burn during flower! Lesson learn for future grows, more is not necessarily better. Should be (hopefully) finishing up the flower stretch soon, which will be a huge relief.

Nothing really new this week. Still fighting an uphill battle to keep her further from the light. All the branches are pretty thin and long, so I'd like to avoid using LST as a way to bring down the height, as it feels like it could snap with the smallest amount of tension.

She seems to be flowering a bit slower then my previous photoperiod plants, but we're getting there. Lots of lower leaves are becoming brown and wilting, which might be a phosphorus deficiency? Will bump up the P concentration in this coming week to see if that helps. Height is still my biggest enemy. Will likely let my pot rest in the drip tray instead of ontop of the elevated rack. This should give me a couple more inches of vertical space.

We're now growing past the lights, but not too much I can do other than topping the colas. Also, lots of leaves lower on the plant began dying off and we're easily knocked off. The leaves weren't dried out, and almost had a black colour to them. Somethings going wrong, but not sure what. Not expecting a great product from this one, but I'll wait and see what happens.

Not sure why it took me so long to realise this, but she's definitely revegging, and has for at least the past few weeks. The lights were dimmed down early this week since light stress was probably what caused this. The light schedule was also switched to 11:13, to see if I can bring her back to developing the bud sites. Here's hoping she can bounce back!

I'm fairly sure that she has been revegging for the past couple weeks, largely from light stress. Is it worth it to try to push her back into flower and continue this grow, or should I start chop her down and start over?

I mean.. There's pretty much no THC in her right now, judging by how the buds look. So chopping her down, woulld only be to start a new grow. - But yeah, just put her back into flower.. You might see some mutations, but don't be alarmed, that's a perfectly normal reaction from a plant that's been revegged after going into flower. It shouldn't matter too much.

It's tough to tell, but I think she went back into flower, as the buds have started to develop some trichomes! Still a long ways to go, but at least we're back on the right track. I believe the flower time for this is advertised to be around 75-80 days, but I'm not sure by how much revegging will increase that time. My guess is that it'll be at least another 6-8 weeks before I can even think of a harvest.

Nothing new to really report this week. Bud development is still moving at a crawl, but at least it's moving somewhere. Not too hopefully for a good quality product or high yield from this one, so may just process it all to make dry sift hash when/if she makes it to harvest. The nutrient ratio input this past week is as follows: N - 143 ppm P - 310 ppm K - 208 ppm Ca - 16 ppm Mg - 20 ppm I'll likely continue with this ratio of nutrients going throughout the remainder of flowering, but I'm open to any suggestions for improvement.

Not sure if it's due to the wildfire smoke, but the humidity shot up a fair bit this week. Outside the tent, I was hitting 70% RH a couple days, but it stayed around 60% inside the tent (+/- 5%) throughout the week. She's also began getting a bit more of an odour. Nothing like the namesake, but that might start getting expressed soon.

Humidity and temperature have thankfully dropped this week. It may not look like much, but considering I was thinking of scraping this plant a few weeks ago, I'm glad I didn't. The aroma off this strain is getting definitely getting stronger, and coming through more as a sweet smell than a citrus one. I've been monitoring the TDS of the input and runoff for awhile now, and am now at ~650 ppm input / ~720 ppm output, which was much better than what I was seeing a month or so ago.

The main stems on this plant are pretty weak, so I'm having some issues keeping the buds from toppling over. Right now, just using zipties and twist ties to hold up any ones that are drooping down. Accidentally snapped one of the larger stems earlier this week, but she looks like she's recovering. At least, nothing on that branch has died off yet.

Going off the trichomes, I'm still quite a ways from harvesting. Maybe in a few more weeks? It'll be difficult to pin point an appropriate time to harvest, as most of the colas have grown above the light and are developing much slower than the lower bud sites.

She made it through another week. Found some amber trichomes on the calyxes, but the maturity level of the buds is all over the place (see the last picture for the "cola" that grew above the light.) I still have quite a bit of time before any of the buds are ready, but I feel like the finish line is in sight.

I've neglected to update this diary in a while, but here is the her final week before the chop. While looking at the buds with a USB microscope, I noticed a little guy crawling around. Unfortunately, it was a spidermite :(. This explains quite a few things, like low bud density and discolouration on the lower leaves. After harvesting, I'll pause on growing for a while until I'm sure I'm rid of them.
